Staff were extremely rude and unhelpful. We had to wait over half an hour just to order, and then were smugly told our order had been 'lost'. Again, waiting. After our (one) drink we again had a long wait before paying. Then our waiter kept our change as a tip without asking. Never have I begrudged anyone 20c more. Absolutely awful, would certainly not recommend to anyone.

Nice location and nice beer, that's all. They don't take cards and the staff was so rude because we didn't have the tip (we didn't have it because we didn't have cash at all) The service was awful. We waited 70 min for the food and they didn't even apologize. All they did is ask for tip in change of bad service.

The plates are huge and the food was good. The prices are very good and the location is very convenient, next to the center and in front of the river. Nonetheless, the service was very slow and were not very helpful. The place was a little disorganized and the heat was not very well distributed.

the regular schnitzel was good, the susages was delicious, the Krombacher beer was excelent, refreshing passion fruit cocktail, the service was fast even i understood none, the riverside location on the Rhine is what i liked the most.

First and foremost: Don't use the ATM machine here!!! You'll be charged €6,- for getting money here by the machine (Because of course you can only pay by cash here)!! Food was great! Waiter were generally uninterested and everything had to be done in the most fastest pace possible with not that much attention for the guests.

Quite pricy, but generally very good place, tasty food, tasty drinks, very good and attentive service. I took off star for no possibility to pay with card, at least at the moment (June 2021).

Such a beautiful place, nice infrastructure and location but not worth a visit. The most disrespectful and dishonest customer service I have experienced in Düsseldorf and in my life. It was the first time a set my 👣 on this place. I was already shocked when I arrived that such a huge place doesn’t accept card. It is hard to believe it , I thing there some management problem going on in there. Anyway l, I withdrew some money because I wanted to stay, watch the game, drink something and eat, I was starving. I ordered a Aperol, and the waiter asked me to pay it, again super weird but fine maybe that’s they very inefficient system or maybe because of the game they were a bit scared of loosing control of the people leaving the bar, can understand it. Anyway, I paid the drink that cost 6.50, gave the waiter 50 euros. He went to change, came back with my change and me back 40.50. Without saying anything. I looked at the menu again and call him back. He looked at me and completely ignored me. I went after him and asked why he gave me only 40.50. He simply said. I discount my tip, it normal in Germany to do that. I made him give it back to me. He said I should finish my drink and leave the bar, I replay to him, lets them call the police, explain what you did and we decide who stays. Then he left my table and I stayed until the game was over. In the next order I gave 10 euros as tip to the other nice waiter in instead. I am always very happy to tip, but this kind of behaviour is unacceptable, for me is steal from customer, a person like that should not be dealing with customers. I don’t know the reasons behind his behaviour but nothing justifies being dishonesty. Shame on the management that allows such behaviour and shame on the owner who does not watch his business closer. No one takes cares of your business with care as you do. Always be close to it.

Total disaster, a waiter was such an as**le, I was asking for 2 glasses of white wine, my girlfriend was asking about wine types, he said "you have them in wine card", well sir we can read, but we just ask you xD then another waiter (at 10:15 pm) said they already served last round although the place works until the midnight. The place is a joke, it's not worth of visit, avoid it, rude, offensive, too slow, no card payments, trust me, just go somewhere else, there are such a better places to enjoy.

A great place to relax with a beer or two after a long day. The river is a joy to watch, the beer is great and the atmosphere is fantastic. Just make sure you take cash as they don't accept card/electronic payment.

Love the food, the atmosphere, the drinks. The waiter is so nice and friendly. Food was exageratingly fast. It took only more or less 10 minutes before they came out. (Or perhaps its just a Monday night thats why). Had a chicken wings and fries for dinner. Glasses are a too small for a 7.50€ drink. Nevertheless, prepare Cash coz they dont do cards. But theres an ATM machine inside so no worries for that too.

Good place next to the riverside to chill with friends at night. Always full tables but service is very fast and friendly. I went on Saturday and there were DJ to play music at night. Price is reasonable for this view and music.

The place is on the very bank of the river Rhein, so it is very nice view on the sunset. I ordered Caipirinha and it was very nice drink. Not so expensive.

Food was good, but service was below average. We ordered an appetizer that we never received and had to flag down the staff for drink refills. Atmosphere is great thou right along the river.

I strongly recommend that you ask for the bill in this place and calculate the amount of your order in advance. The waiter calculated the bill with shapes drawn on a coaster :) It was very strange because we ended up paying 15€ extra. When we realized and checked, he immediately gave back 7€ without any further verification. Then when I looked at the comments to see if anyone else had experienced this situation, I saw at least 5 more comments like this…

Good moment , good food and very nice view !

The cashier at the seafood window was so irresponsible he forgot to give my wife's order to the kitchen staff and we waited for almost half an hour but still no food. Its a shame that our dining experience was ruined by only one irresponsible staff.

We were here for several hours and enjoyed ourselves here. The service wasn't fast but not too slow either. We were sitting next to a greater that ran out of gas while we were there. When we asked whether it could be fitted with a new gas tank, we were told that there were no more tanks and that this was it. It grew steadily colder after that and we left when we found that it got to cold for comfort. There was one waiter here who kept in bumping into guests and tables and heaters. He practically threw the drinks onto the tables. He was quite annoying. Luckily there was only one of him, the rest of the staff was kind and a lot more careful.

The restaurant is cool and the prices are good but common the girl waiter is the only one running around taking orders serving and cleaning tables while the other personal just stands around waiting food and being relaxed while she runs around in distress… also the chef and other personal were very unpleasant to her. If you are reading this I hope you either get paid really good or quit your job! You were an absolute hero running around on your own serving and taking orders but you should not be.

The atmosphere is good, the music is good, and the beer is good. But I ordered a glass of Mojito. It was tastes bad. The restaurant service is good and friendly, ask me what other service do I needed, and patiently provide advice and give me travel information. I will come again next time.

Loved this place. Big old riverfront bar and restaurant overlooking the Rhine near the old town. You know the sort of place, lots of benches and small tables lining the pavement, big glasses of cold beer, sport of the big screen and a big food menu. Excellent. Great place for a morning beer. The beer is Warsteiner as well, which is excellent. The food menu is good. No currywürst on the menu, but they do the biggest pizza rolls you’ll ever see. I think it literally was a whole pizza cut up into rolls. Tasty. Remember to put your beermat on your empty glass to indicate you want to pay the bill. That’s how they know in such a big place. Useful. Good place to sit and watch life go by. Watch the ships as well.

Great view next to the Rhein river. I recommend the Riesling Spätlese. But if you are not a smoker, river side is not good place.

One of the best and best steak i have ever tried. Rumpsteak 220 ordered and it was really so juicy and delicious. They didn't ask me how to cook the beef, so i was a little bit worriedabout but they would cooked and tried, it was just perfect. Also even without sauce meats' own taste of the beef was great. Also limed Warsteiner beer.

Very bad service and the waiters dont teally want to help they just want to get you something without the lowest efforts... and when they came to help they said we cant order and it took 15 more minutes to come back.. very bad service

Food was Oke for the price. Waitress made her own price and scammed us, we only realised it after. Other waiter was being cheeky by keeping the change every time we paid. We asked for it back.. his response was you can miss it and winked. The overall atmosphere was oke between guests.. It’s just not oke if you’re having fun with friends that you have to pay attention to the staff so they don’t scam you! Very rude! Never again!
