    Terrible Terrible Terrible!!! Avoid like the plague. I got a massive Bill for a scratch they said I made despite full insurance. Still disputing with them. I rent many vehicles every year and have never experienced anything as bad as Düsseldorf truck centre. All you get is trouble from Sixt.

    To keep it simple: Received an email 3 days after the return claiming damage to the van. Went back and checked the van, the employee was unable to point the damage and I took pictures. I ended up receiving a bill for 500€ 1 month after and surprise, the pictures don’t match the ones I got, plus they changed them the second time I got the bill.... At the end of the day, this will end up in court with me paying up for sure as this seems to be their business. A quick google search would , there are thousand of horror stories from Sixt Germany in particular.

    Usually good friendly staff. But in July I hired a Van here for 24hrs. I returned it all OK. Then one week later was informed that very serious damage had been caused to the vehicle during my rental period. Even though I checked the vehicle with a Sixt colleague upon returning the vehicle. This saga drew out from July–November until finally Sixt gave in and accepted I had not caused the damage. I have spent 4 months of my year fighting a fine of €2,500 for damage caused by the Sixt staff, pretending that I caused it. I hire cars and vans on a regular basis from Sixt - spending €€€€€€ per year at locations across Europe. I have never experienced anything like it.

    It's okay to get good vans at good prices here. Sometimes the return conditions are very picky and you have to talk to reviewers for a long time. For things that are left over from transport vehicles

    We rented a van from sixt for shifting. It was all well. They told to us that they will share the current photograhs ie before photographs with us but they didn't. We did shifting and stuff and found van is a cool and smooth. At the time of return it was raining like hell so could noyand later on after few days we got a questionair about a damage made on foot rest. Like seriously, foot rest on the back side was bent and we didn't check it before. They claim that we made it like that. And van had an accident so. While such thing did not happened. Benting foot rest is not easy thing to do but still we are getting charged for around 700 euros to fix it. We had really bad experience there and some of my friends also claim same thing. They charge falsely. I would say, please don't go for sixt and if you are going with them please do take pictures as many as you can.

    First of all, we received a catastrophic truck that already had an incredibly long list of damage. After the battery failed after only a short time, we had to wait four hours!!! Wait for the Iveco technician. He was super friendly and was able to help us quickly. However, he said that he was informed about the damage half an hour before we arrived. The battery seemed to have been broken beforehand; he determined this through his measurements. So it wasn't our fault according to him. Now we receive a damage report after someone else had already rented the car. We had already received a handover protocol in which it was documented that no further damage occurred. Interesting what is being tried here. And it's sad that such a large and well-known company works with such perfidious methods. We'll just wait and see what happens next.

    After a few days I received a message that I had caused two damages to a vehicle. The car had at least 10 huge scratches on this side alone and was in terrible condition. It was hardly possible to go through all the damage before the start of the rental. Unfortunately, according to the other reviews, this doesn't seem to be an isolated case! Urgently take photos. It's best to avoid the store completely!

    I rented a long 3.5 ton truck to move my in-laws. At the counter I was informed about the different insurance companies because I had asked about the price differences for online booking. The employee informed me in a friendly manner without being intrusive and didn't push me to have any extra insurance. He left the choice up to me without putting pressure on me. The Sprinter was in good condition for a Mier vehicle. The handover and later delivery went smoothly with a friendly employee. I will definitely rent here again if I need a large vehicle. 👍🏻

    My experience with this branch has been excellent. The rented van was in good condition and the vehicle was booked at short notice via the app. Damage was recorded in advance so that there were no misunderstandings even after the return. Very friendly staff, I would be happy to come by again. Nevertheless, I have had negative experiences in other Sixt branches when it comes to assigning damage to the vehicle. I can only recommend taking photos in advance.

    1 star too many for fraudsters 🫠 Received false invoices twice, once for over €1000 and then there was another invoice that didn't make any sense at all. NEVER AGAIN

    Rented a truck in Düsseldorf at Sixt because of moving a friend from apartment to apartment. What great service, it was really amazing. Never had such an experience with renting a truck. Most of those rental company's realy suck in either kind of way but Sixt gave me an experience from beginning to the end with full service and explanation and for that price. The staff was so nice and patience with me. Only for that i would definitely go back to Sixt Düsseldorf. Thanks guys, realy good job 👍👍👍

    I am accused of damage to the van that was not caused by me or during my rental period. No key collection was carried out on the car when it was picked up. The key was handed to me in the container and I was told "unlock the car once and you will see which vehicle is yours". I looked for the van without any employees, found it and had to find my way around how the car actually works. I have two people who can attest to this because they drove me to the SIXT Truck Center Düsseldorf. No defects were reported upon delivery. At the beginning I asked the employee where I should park the van. He told me to park the van in the gap between two other vans. I did this. After I got out, the employee reset the mileage. I drew his attention to a scratch, which, like all the other damage, was there before I was renting. He said it wasn't a problem because I illustrated this scratch for him with a video that I took in advance when I picked it up before I drove the van from the yard. There was no damage when you dropped it off, but damage appears 3 days later? Why is this due to me? This could also have been an employee who moved the van around the yard. Today (February 21st, 2024) it was no longer in the same place where I parked it on February 19th, 2024. My brother was there and can also testify to this. I was in the SIXT Truck Center Düsseldorf office today (February 21, 2024) and my colleague told me that the system sometimes crashes and that is why some damage is not recorded. How can something like that happen? Who should then be liable for the damage? The youngest tenant? just because the system fails, but the tenant can't do anything about it. How can it be that damage is not logged because the system fails? Is the person responsible for the system not failing then being liable? I asked the employee at the front of the counter if I could speak to the branch manager, Ms...., because I wanted to complain about the employees' actions and the system failures. He vehemently denied this and said that she didn't have time and that her schedule was already too busy for an appointment. BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE. DO NOT RENT HERE

    Be careful, be careful... I rented here several times 1-2 years ago and never had any problems. The parking lot is now incredibly overcrowded, the staff themselves tell you "some people are fussy, but for others normal use is no problem". I received a Chinese Sprinter that was already in poor condition after 6 months and had an endless list of damage. It happened as it had to, I handed in the vehicle WITHOUT DAMAGE and received a four-figure damage report for damage that I did not cause. Of course, the “damage settlement” wants to attribute this to me with ready-made text modules, of course. If you research it, you notice that this is almost a scam, at least I quickly found many fellow sufferers. I'll definitely move on to the competition, it's just unreasonable. Hopefully the case doesn't end up in court, it would simply be embarrassing for a reputable company to rent out vehicles wildly and then assign blame to someone. The group of friends who were there on the day of the rental see it exactly the same way. SIXT probably won't care, but I'll save myself SIXT if that's how it goes here. Preferably 0 stars

    I have repeatedly had very bad experiences with Sixt. This time: I was billed for a “refueling service” of €125 even though I returned the van with a full tank and left the receipt in the car as proof. Customer service has not yet responded to my inquiries. Nobody can be reached by phone. No recommendation from me.
