My
wife
and
I
have
been
members
of
the
club
for
many
years.
In
the
spring
of
2020,
my
wife
was
running
out
of
her
next
card
and
she
planned
not
to
go
to
the
club
in
the
summer,
but
to
resume
classes
in
the
fall.
In
March
2020,
she
paid
in
advance
for
a
six-month
club
card
(from
October
2020
to
April
2021).
I
paid
in
advance
and
didn’t
know
the
exact
date
when
I
would
start
visiting
in
the
fall,
but
the
manager
reassured
me
that
don’t
worry,
the
card
will
be
activated
on
the
day
of
your
first
visit
to
the
club
in
the
fall.
But
our
plans
were
disrupted
by
the
pandemic,
we
decided
to
take
a
break
and
until
the
situation
returns
to
normal,
we
will
not
visit
the
club.
In
October,
worried
that
the
card
would
not
disappear,
my
wife
called
her
manager
and
reported
our
decision,
to
which
the
manager
told
us
not
to
worry,
that
the
card
would
not
disappear,
but
would
be
activated
only
on
the
day
of
your
first
arrival
at
the
club,
when
you
decide
to
renew
classes.
Since
the
pandemic
dragged
on
for
a
long
time,
we
decided
to
call
again
in
July
2021
to
clarify
possible
options
for
action
with
the
card,
which
lies
like
dead
weight
with
us.
But
it
turned
out
that
the
card
had
already
been
activated
by
the
club
a
month
ago.
However,
no
one
warned
us
about
this.
We
were
extremely
surprised
by
this
turn
of
events
and
the
next
day
we
decided
to
call
again,
explain
the
situation
in
detail
and
ask
to
restore
the
full
validity
period
on
the
card,
because...
her
wife
never
visited
the
club.
But
a
different
turn
of
events
awaited
us.
Now
we
were
told
that
the
card
was
allegedly
activated
back
in
October
2020
and
its
validity
period
has
already
completely
expired.
And
the
club
will
neither
restore
it
nor
return
the
money;
this
is
the
manager’s
decision,
but
he
himself
does
not
communicate
with
club
members
on
such
issues.
According
to
the
agreement,
we
can
return
the
card
to
the
club
with
a
loss
of
30%
of
its
value
for
the
unused
period.
But
we
were
denied
this
too,
because...
The
card’s
validity
period
has
already
expired
(maybe
this
could
be
related
to
the
miraculous
change
in
its
activation
date
from
June
2021
to
October
2020?).
Thus,
we
paid
for
the
card
in
full,
my
wife
never
visited
the
club
using
it
(based
on
the
manager’s
statements
that
the
card
will
not
be
activated
until
the
first
visit
to
the
club
using
it),
and
the
club
refuses
to
return
the
money
for
services
not
provided.
