The
Church
of
the
Conception
of
Righteous
Anna,
in
the
corner,
in
Zaryadye,
was
built
no
earlier
than
1547
from
white
stone
with
brick
vaults.
We
do
not
know
the
time
when
the
church
was
founded
on
this
site;
the
first
written
mention
of
a
wooden
church
dates
back
to
1493,
when
the
old
wooden
church
burned
down.
Today
the
temple
stands
on
Moskvoretskaya
embankment,
3.
Until
the
1930s,
that
is,
before
the
demolition
of
the
walls
of
Kitai-Gorod,
the
address
of
the
temple
was
different.
The
church
was
then
located
in
a
small
quarter,
occupying
a
corner
of
the
Kitai-Gorod
wall.
Two
lanes
converged
at
the
temple,
Krivoy
went
to
the
north,
and
Mokrinsky
approached
the
temple
along
the
axis
of
the
western
facade.
Mokrinsky
Lane
does
not
exist
now,
but
from
the
12th
to
the
end
of
the
15th
century
it
was
the
main
street
of
Moscow.
It
was
called
the
Great
Street.
The
street
ran
from
the
Kremlin
gates
to
the
Conception
Church,
parallel
to
the
river
and
led
to
the
Moskvoretsky
piers,
which
were
located
nearby.
