A
picturesque
hotel
that
left
us
disappointed
on
our
wedding
anniversary.
The
rooms
are
beautifully
designed
and
decorated
but
not
up
to
cleaning
standards.
We
had
a
large
fly
in
our
bedroom,
a
dead
mosquito
hanging
from
the
ceiling,
a
lot
of
finger
marks
and
stains
on
the
tv
unit
and
several
black
hairs
in
the
bathroom
(on
the
shower
wall
and
floor
mats).
The
closet
released
a
lot
of
visible
dust
when
we
opened
it
to
hang
our
jackets.
Adding
to
the
unpleasantness
of
our
stay
was
the
fact
that
the
construction
at
the
Crown
Casino
could
be
heard
from
our
ocean
view
room
(so
we
were
changed
to
a
city
view
room)
and
the
tvs
weren’t
working
throughout
almost
our
entire
stay
(3
nights).
To
kill
some
time
we
asked
if
we
could
book
a
high
tea
in
the
downstairs
kitchen,
but
the
staff
member
we
spoke
to
(at
reception)
was
unaware
of
how
we
might
go
about
creating
a
booking.
We
went
to
the
spa
and
were
handed
a
brochure
of
their
services.
After
some
deliberating
we
advised
them
which
services
we’d
like
to
book,
only
for
them
to
then
tell
us
that
they
had
no
availability
whatsoever
for
the
next
week
(so
why
hand
us
the
brochure,
we
wondered?).
We
were
left
with
very
little
to
do,
considering
as
well
that
the
hotel
is
not
really
within
walking
distance
of
cbd
amenities.
Finally,
staff
communication
was
very
very
poor,
both
in
terms
of
not
being
able
to
understand
our
needs
but
also
in
terms
of
actually
picking
up
the
phone
(we
had
to
wait
quite
some
time
for
our
calls
to
be
answered
almost
every
single
time).
We
wouldn’t
return
for
another
stay.
