Way below expectations on a recent 2 night stay. Have stayed at many 5 star hotels both here and abroad. Staff mostly were as if they are straight out of a hospitality course. On surface the staff are well dressed etc but scratch the surface and the incompetence becomes evident. Clunky communication, inconsistent cocktails (same cocktail taste completely different the next day), room service coffee taking more than one hour when a 15 min time was quoted. My guess is management allowed competent staff to leave and they are desperately filling with new staff. Seen this in my own industry. Would not return. Door staff were pretty good. The pool is lovely.

Absolutely stunning hotel and location. This is our second stay here and definitely will not be our last. The staff are always extremely attentive. The standard of the hotel is high end and I absolutely love that pets are welcome. We had a wonderful room with a balcony that overlooked the harbour. Whilst we did t have time to use the pool you simply must as it is spectacular and we loved it last time. Breakfast was a little disappointing as my husband loves a big breakfast and they only had a set menu in which you could only choose 2items. Other than that we had a wonderful stay

Amazing hotel, very luxurious. Rooms are huge and the hospitality are very accommodating. Pool and day spa are amazing, never seen anything like it. Buffet breakfast is pretty expensive and basic for $50 though.

The hotel is refined albeit a little small in the lounge areas. Perfectly situated within the quaint and quiet surrounds of leafy sandstone houses I love to sip their cocktails and have quiet conversations in the early afternoon

One of the best 5 star hotels in Sydney. This hotel is going for a more vintage vibe which would make it lovely for special occasions. The feel and luxury of the place is second to none. 10/10 service. Their pool is a huge attraction. Hotel has a bar and restaurant.

One of the best hotels in Sydney. From the time you enter where I was greeted with a warm smile and bags taken away immediately from me, to check in that was seamless. The room was set up and personalised with a welcome card - gorgeous king bed with the comfiest pillows. The swimming pool was bliss, my favourite of all. Breakfast was enjoyable with great selection. 5 star experience overall, will surely keep coming back.

I was thoroughly disappointed with the customer service I received while booking a 3 bedroom suite. Having stayed in some of the world's most luxurious hotels, I was appalled by the lack of helpfulness and respect shown by the front desk. If you are looking for a high-quality and respectful stay, I would recommend the Crown Hotel, just 5 minutes away. You will be treated with the utmost respect and kindness, as if you were a celebrity.

Took my wife here for high tea for our anniversary - stunning decor, excellent service & an incredibly tasty selection. We couldn’t finish our plates- but not through lack of trying! Expensive but certainly worth it. A highly recommended treat.

Attended an all day conference at the venue! Lunch buffet was included! Dog friendly venue!!! I really can't rate this venue any better but if there were 10stars then they top that as well. Sydney certainly has some awesome venues and The Langham is up there handsdown!

Lovely, boutique hotel with great facilities and most importantly, fantastic staff. We had a really nice double room on level 1 with comfortable beds and all the amenities we needed. Special thanks to Marie-Claire at the front desk who was so great and made our stay extra special and to Allen the concierge who was so helpful. We had stayed at the Shangri-La the previous two days and the Langham was definitely an upgrade. Overall, great stay.

I cannot fault this hotel in any way! Came here with my dog and they supplied such great amenities for her. The rooms are so clean, comfy beds, large bathroom and I absolutely love the vintage aesthetic. Amazing service from all staff with such prompt room service. 1000% I am coming back to stay here again!

This was an extravagance. I do not normally frequent 5 star hotels, so this review might be positively biased! The hotel is beautifully appointed with big spacious rooms. The staff are excellent, discrete and professional. The breakfast options were varied, very good quality and copious. The indoor pool and jacuzzi were clean, inviting and very pleasant. Of course, it is expensive! Way more than I would normally consider paying for 2 nights' accommodation. But we wanted a special experience and we were not disappointed.

Very disappointed with Langham. It didn’t feel like I was staying at 5 star hotel. The hotel is old. I saw a few hair in the bathroom when I first walked in. Slow service. Not much to do around the hotel. $70 breakfast..I wouldn’t even pay $20 for it. Good things: The room is spacious and pretty. That’s all..

This hotel is dog friendly & they go out of their way to make them welcome! I'm SO appreciative of that as although my little dog is well behaved he's very nervous & jumps the fences & escapes in boarding facilities & other's homes. So, this meant I could finally have a little trip away to see Vivid. The food & service here is fabulous for humans too.

This Hotel is truly amazing. The best part comes in the staff, who will go out of their way to help you whether it be giving detailed directions, and even maps. This is a true 5-star experience.

A picturesque hotel that left us disappointed on our wedding anniversary. The rooms are beautifully designed and decorated but not up to cleaning standards. We had a large fly in our bedroom, a dead mosquito hanging from the ceiling, a lot of finger marks and stains on the tv unit and several black hairs in the bathroom (on the shower wall and floor mats). The closet released a lot of visible dust when we opened it to hang our jackets. Adding to the unpleasantness of our stay was the fact that the construction at the Crown Casino could be heard from our ocean view room (so we were changed to a city view room) and the tvs weren’t working throughout almost our entire stay (3 nights). To kill some time we asked if we could book a high tea in the downstairs kitchen, but the staff member we spoke to (at reception) was unaware of how we might go about creating a booking. We went to the spa and were handed a brochure of their services. After some deliberating we advised them which services we’d like to book, only for them to then tell us that they had no availability whatsoever for the next week (so why hand us the brochure, we wondered?). We were left with very little to do, considering as well that the hotel is not really within walking distance of cbd amenities. Finally, staff communication was very very poor, both in terms of not being able to understand our needs but also in terms of actually picking up the phone (we had to wait quite some time for our calls to be answered almost every single time). We wouldn’t return for another stay.

The best part of our stay was the OBSERVATORY BAR!!!!! Creatively crafted cocktails. Made by Solesh and Kenny!! You must go say hello to the boys they will make you the best drinks in town. What better way to spend your afternoons and evenings in Sydney? The hotel is very lucky to have Solesh and Kenny working for them as they are amazing at what they do, unfortunately I don’t think they get the recognition they deserve 😀😀

Gorgeous hotel! All staff were lovely, polite and helpful. The room was very clean comfortable. View of the harbor at night was beautiful. The curtains in the room were very good at keeping out the light, had a great sleep. The heated pool, hot tub and steam room were very clean and a nice addition. Breakfast had a big variety and all delicious. If we could afford it we would stay more often.

An amazing experience. The hotel is classic but has all the modern touches you need. The service is world class. A huge thank you to Pim for all her assistance, she completely enhanced our stay by doing everything she could. Great food, great stay & we will be coming back to stay A******

Old school luxury. Great location tucked away but close to everything. Staff are professionally trained and attention to detail is apparent. Big rooms. Great hotel bar as well.

Beautiful hotel. They made not only our anniversary feel special. But they gave us a basket full of baby Moisturisers, bubble bath ( nappies = wrong size) but it was the thought that counts. The room was clean and they did a turn down service with chocolate. Extra bonus. The staff were lovely in every location of the hotel. The breakfast was delicious and the spa was to die for. We will be returning!

One of the prettiest hotels I have stayed in. Rooms were very beautiful, very spacious. They have a virtual butler service where you message and it’s instantly actioned. The only downside is I felt its still a bit of a walk from nearest train station/ light rail. Will not be an issue for most though as most of the people staying here will be taking a cab/uber I am sure.

Sorry Langham, reason for the rating is simple, you don't do High Tea anymore. Has been a highlight of our trips to Sydney for years. Also the length of time it took for reception to answer my call, took two calls before I was answered. Your competitors are doing better, far better.

I was at the Langham for a High Tea with 2 friends (celebrating birthday) . To say it was amazing is an understatement. Right from when we entered the hotel we were treated like royalty. Once in the room where the High Tea is held the service was amazing. The 2 young ladies serving us were totally brilliant, very friendly and accommodating. They are very good at their job. Nothing was too much trouble for these girls. Food is beautifully presented and served and delicious. The choice of teas is really great. The drinks offered were great. I would highly recommend this hotel for a High Tea.

We had a wonderful stay here and didn’t want to leave! Our room was beautiful, luxurious and spotless. The service we received from every staff member was extremely professional and helpful, and made us feel very special. We loved all the small touches, from the pillow menu to the way housekeeping tidied our things with such care. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you for making our stay such a memorable experience.

The Location is fantastic. So much history to explore. It’s a flat walk to Stargazer park and from here you can catch a lift to Barangaroo or do gentle scenic walks around the Harbour and Rocks . So many great restaurants to chose from . The staff are exceptional, and their attention to detail is excellent. The spa is amazing. It’s kept around 38 and is extremely therapeutic on sore backs and legs, the pool is 28 and long enough for swimming laps. Being in a subterranean space promotes the lovely calming atmosphere . The rooms are spacious with high ceilings & tastefully appointed. Try and book a harbour side room .. the sunsets are beautiful and its fun watching the ferries and cruise ships fly by.

I have only just checked in for night one of three nights at the Langham and couldn’t be more blown away by the service and accomodation. The attention to detail from staff is incredible. I mentioned we were bringing our newborn baby when I booked in passing and when we arrived there were balloons and a beautiful card to congratulate us, but it didn’t stop there. The staff had stocked our bathroom with baby changing essentials too. So incredibly thoughtful, above and beyond what I’d expect from any hotel. On top of that, the concierge and valet team are incredible. They carted our mountains of bags and bassinets up to the room and took the time to place items where we’d like them. Their in room service menu is delicious and their extra ammenities make staying here so relaxing and comfortable; like having an aroma diffuser delivered to your room. I wish I could extend my stay already and it isn’t even over.

Have been to this hotel a number of times in the past when it was Observatory. The Hotel is a stand out! Service is good, but not as good as previous. No turn down service or little fresh bottles of water next to bed etc. Is happening anymore. These finer things make the whole experience exceptional rather than good. Absolutley recommend the Langham Sydney as a great hotel and place to stay.

Very good service from all aspects, in particular Jonathan at the reception. In room dining was normal, the Harbour view room could be better if there were no construction sites in the front, although its out of Langham's control. High tea was a bit disappointing in terms of the good. Overall it's a very pretty hotel!

We booked the vegetarian afternoon high tea. I was at first apprehensive looking at the reviews & taking my pregnant wife. After calling to confirm my booking and getting assurance from the hotel lobby team, plus the restaurant staff were amazing. The experience really delivered!! We had a great experience and will be back!

Niley (the waitress in the hotel bar) on a busy Friday night was the epitome of an attentive and witty and perceptive waitress. We didn’t have to leave our couch/table at all and the service was excellent. She made us feel comfortable and was incredibly friendly. We will back on this alone. BTW, the cocktails were fantastic as well.

The ground floor staffs are super helpful and friendly with great sense of humour too! I’ve never been treated better than this in other hotels. (Big shout out to Kelvin, he told me that I can tell the security staff in airport that I’m in a hurry to skip the line, otherwise I might have missed the flight). And it’s grand and full of details (provided flip flops instead of scandals that you may wear them to the beach, and the Diptyque product smells so nice) All in all, I strongly recommend you to have a stay here if you want to have an extra comfortable experience in Gold Coast.

My partner & I love staying here, we stay very often & wouldn't stay anywhere else. The customer service & warm welcomes are always a favourite, we bring our dog here every time we stay and he loves the gift bag with the tennis balls. The rooms are so big & accommodating for all that we need. If I could give more than 5 stars I most definitely would.

This is the best hotel I ever been in! Everything is so clean and rooms are really comfortable. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Really amazing people! I would recommend this hotel to everyone who coming to Sydney or even to people from Sydney to go there to enjoy the experience. Every person that works there super friendly, helpful and nice. Special thanks to Yuki from hotel restaurant, she was so helpful with the food choice and best costumer service! Thanks to everyone from The Langham!! We will definitely seeg you guys again really soon! Lazar Petkovic

Hotel itself and staffs are one of the best in Sydney. However, in-room dining experience was not that of what you'd expect from five star hotel.

My best friend told me it was worth a visit and boy was i surprised! We turned up at the Observatory Bar for some cocktails and we were treated like Queens! The staff are so friendly and so welcoming! Felt like a second home! This is the epitome of a 5 star restaurant with fabulous customer service! Now we are both looking for an excuse to come back!!!

Me and my partner’s experience with Langham Sydney was perfect! The staff and service were all great! The staff were very friendly, approachable and professional. They made sure we were enjoying everything and get what we needed. Thank you for the wonderful staycation experience.

I just spent two wonderful nights at a suite in this brilliant hotel. If you want luxury, great room service with a wide menu, top notch staff that make you feel like a Queen, decadent surroundings and a perfectly lovely bed then go here. I cannot fault this hotel. The spa is also wonderful. Every time I stay here it transports me away to a beautiful bubble. 10/10

Super friendly and accomodating staff. Beautifully well kept facilities. Will definitely be back. Also, thank you to the lovely gentleman at reception for helping make me comfortable after my day spa experience today.

Great place to relax & staff was ever so friendly and knew what to do. + Well equipped rooms with excellent ambience + Excellent pool and jacuzzi area + Amazing gin cocktails + Good breakfast buffet - Some stuff up with starters at the bar where bread was burnt, we also pointed out the menu discriotion was not correct, the staff fixed it straight away and provided free cocktails. I have been to lot of hotels and know that labour is expensive in Australia. So would give it only 4 star due to value for money.
