Great example of a small local museum. Just the sort of place to have a little wander around. Recommended

What a great place to take your children or grandchildren. This is a small charity run museum with a very interesting display. The entry is free, but they welcome donations. Why not go for some lunch in the town and then a nice wall along the river lea or the canal.

Gorgeous museum, so much to see, kept my 7 year old occupied all afternoon. It's free, they take donations but I didn't see a card reader, which would make that easier!

It is a small museum but it's very good. Definitely worth a visit if you're nearby whether with children or adults only, you will enjoy it.

A superbly curated display of local history and spirit of local people. Having visited the museum, we found walking in the local streets a lot more interesting as we are better informed.

Brilliant information but could do with an accessibility review. It's not all about lifts and wheelchairs/ pushchairs, but also about interaction with exhibits, info panels at 45 degrees, and environmental conditions for the neurodiverse.

Visited Hertford Museum just by chance and was very pleased with how nice the place looks. It's small but very neatly organised. Loved the garden bit especially. They were doing arts and crafts during our visit which we very much enjoyed. Will be back👍

Lovely little old museum, full of old treasures and they have activity sheets for the children. My great niece thoroughly enjoyed doing these. Friendly staff. Well worth a visit.

I love this museum. It's got a little shop and quite a lot of artifacts from Britain and the rest of the world. There's a hands on children's area to keep little ones busy. My daughter likes to go there when in hertford and each time I see something I missed from a different visit. Recommend heading there if in Hertford Town.

👍👍 A fantastic park with reasonable Sunday parking at £1.50 for the whole day. Abundant walking trails along the river, made even better if you try a hiking app called Komoot. It's a kid's paradise, boasting climbing nets, swings, and even a mini rock climbing area. Don't forget the skateboarding spot...

👍👍 Free to visit but there is a small charge for parking on the premises, there are clearly marked routes that take in all the lodges for viewing a wide range of birds. Most are wheelchair accessible, the high point is the kingfisher pool a fair walk from the main entrance, winter and spring are great...
