This is a perfect example of beautiful Florida parks. The boardwalks are well maintained and perfect for all ages. Lots of baby alligators in the water. We visited on a Sunday afternoon. Many parties and shelters being used but still plenty more available. There's an abundance of wildlife. We saw someone was leaving seeds etc for squirrels in multiple parts of the boardwalk which made them flock all over. While adorable, there are signs that instruct to not feed the wildlife. Please respect the nature and wildlife laws if you visit.

This park has something for everyone! Photographers will love the wildlife; deer, squirrels, turtles, gators, many birds, and more! There are boardwalk trails and more hiking type trails. There is a boat ramp, many picnic areas including shelters, many restrooms with soap and paper towels! There is only a price to park a boat trailer. Families will find playgrounds, athletes will find soccer fields and many places to run. My favorite part of this park is the deer. I always see them when I come.

Beautiful park with an area for small and large dogs. Plenty of parking and boat launch. Don’t forget to pay for parking! It’s $2 for the day. There were deer all over the place! Great place to take a walk in the morning. The board walk was shaded which kept us cool in the Florida heat. There is a 3 story watch tower overlooking the lake.

What a beautiful large clean park in Palm Harbor. Lots of trails and boardwalk trails to walk on, picnic areas, volleyball courts. Got to see many different birds and a small gator, lots of squirrels. Also a beautiful lake with benches to relax on. I definitely recommend, wonderful place.

One of my favorite local nature parks!! Every visit I always see various animals without fail! The maintenance staff keep it clean and manicured, and are happy to answer questions you have about the park. The parking lots are clearly numbered so you can easily find your way back to the correct lot. Plenty of picnic areas to have lunch, or rent to have a party. There is a playground for the kids, and even a fully fenced in dog park!

Very beautiful place. Once u get away from the loud crowds of people at the pavilions, the trails are quiet and long. Not many people use them, which is great and makes them peaceful. Lots of bathrooms and rest spots for use. Dog park, playground, volleyball nets, boat ramp, overlook tower etc this park has everything.

We attended the 15TH ANNUAL "CRUISIN' THE PARK" CHARITY CAR SHOW AND COMMUNITY FESTIVAL at John Chestnut Park, put on by the Kiwanis. First it’s a beautiful wooded park with a nice lake front boardwalk. There are lots of shelters and a great dog park. But today was special. One of the best car shows I’ve been to in awhile. Lots of great cars and the best part is it was all in the shade. Definitely we will make this an annual event.

It was incredible to see alligators without having to pay for a tour! Tarpon Lake is beautiful. If you have friends from out of town visiting, this is where you want to take them. The only thing I did not like was that dogs were not allowed on *most* of the boardwalks. Children are more disruptive to wildlife than dogs. This park is free to visit, free parking, a few playgrounds, restrooms, and many shelters to have picnics or parties. There's also a fairly large dog park, but I don't trust other people's dogs off leash. I truly did enjoy my visit here and will visit again.

A beautiful Pinellas County park located in Palm Harbor. This is an ideal location to bring the family and pets for a few hours. There are walking trails, a playground, 2 dog parks and bathrooms. You can bring your boat or have a birthday party in a covered pavilion (reserve ahead if possible) They even have a baseball field. One of My Favorite Things is seeing so many creatures like hawks, alligators and deer. The sunsets are amazing and the views are free. It's a must see when you visit the area.

2 playgrounds for kids, one is for 2-5 and the other one is 5-12. They're next to each other if you have kids in both age brackets. There's also a dog park right next to the playground area so you can wear out the whole family just in this one area, lol.

Love visiting this park. I grew up here when it was called Brooker Creek Park and you could ride bikes on all the trails and when the park had a beach on the lake. The boat ramp is definitely a steep one but the docks are well maintained. I love walking to the lookout tower and seeing the beauty of Lake Tarpon. Back by Shelter 7 is a dock that jets out on the lake and during nice sunny days you should be able to see gators and turtles. The more time I spend here the more nature you come across. I hope you enjoy visiting this park as much as I do. Sometimes you just need to slow down life and this is definitely a place you can do this.

This place is fantastic. Beautiful views are everywhere. The trails and boardwalks are well maintained. The playgrounds are nice and fun for the kids. There are benches everywhere and shelters galore. There are 3 boat ramps. The observation tower is located in a great spot with a magnificent view. We will definitely come back here!

This park is truly one of the best in Pinellas County. There's 10+ pavilions, numerous bathrooms, 2 playgrounds, a ball park, volleyball nets, and various trails to hike through. I saw deer, birds and squirrels everywhere I looked. I can't wait to come back.

Beautiful park on Lake Tarpon. They have a short but amazing nature trail out to the lake and a boardwalk/dock along the edge of the lake. Great place for a walk, bike or run. They have a nice kids playground too.

Love this park! We enjoy the playgrounds and then walk around, enjoying the magical nature of Florida. There are many viewing areas throughout the park, including a lookout tower where you can enjoy the water, trees, and animal sounds. Look carefully and you will probably catch a glimpse of a gator or 2. In addition to being a great park to visit any day of the week, it also makes an epic venue for birthday parties and hangouts.

Beautiful views from the observation tower, the picnic shelters along the board walk provide a view to the aquatic plants and wildlife - saw limpkins, apple snails, moorhens -black ducks with red beaks and alligators

Great place to picnic, fish, and hike. Small boat ramp accommodates fishing vessels well. If you love Florida nature, you'll love this park.

This park is great for the littles and bigs alike. The 2-5 year old playground has 2 swings and a decent play area. The over 5 playground has 4 swings and a pretty good sized playground. There’s plenty of space for the kids to move around, run around, and explore. I love that you can take walks on the board walk and go up into the bird watchers observation tower. There’s a ball field, a boat ramp, a nature trail, dog park, and grills.

Great park for families and friends. Many shelters throughout the park. Playground was a great experience for my child. Swings, slides, balancing and climbing. If you want to have a cookout or party at shelters, plan in advance and make a reservation. The fee is a flat $25. The lookout is a great place to catch the sunset but any of the hidden end paths along the lake is lovely. Parking and restrooms are located in convenient areas.

This park is amazing. So many different aspects of it. Its quiet, peaceful, walkways that go on forever. Nature, that is amazing! If you need a walk with nature, and want an inexpensive day out, pack a lunch, the park is free and Enjoy!!

I absolutely love this park, it holds many great memories for my family and me. The playgrounds in the front are really wonderful and varied; there is a separate playground for very young children and a separate playground for kids 7-13. It's a great way to keep the very young children safe and the teens can have fun the way they want as well. I personally love the area in the back of the park. You have to drive the very rear of the park and then walk across one of the walkways to get to it. That area is amazing for walking, playing with your kids, or playing Pokemon Go 😜 This is all not even mentioning the deer that live in the park. You can catch them best in the early morning or around sunset. They are completely used to seeing people so you can get some amazing pictures and actually get quite close to them. This park is so lovely and has so much to offer that I cannot recommend it enough; definitely worth the drive from anywhere in the Tampa area!

Overall this is a beautiful park but it has so much opportunity for improvement. It would be nice if the trails all linked together and had trail distance markers. I went on a Saturday and it was quite busy. Adding nature information signs along the trail would also be nice. The volleyball court needs maintenance and the bathroom there was closed down.

We absolutely love this park. We go to this park to walk one or two times a week. We walk anywhere from 2 to 4 miles each time and the trails are fantastic. We see everything from all kinds of birds, owls, squirrels, gators, otters, deer, turtles and more. This park is clean, never crowded, has a boat launch, a great dog park and many pavilions. Thank you Pinellas County for this gem that we enjoy so much.

We saw baby gators all over. There are a lot of wildlife to view even though there are a lot people. Nice places to reserved for parties with each spot having their own bathrooms. A hiking trail near the boat ramp. There is a dog park with cooling stations. The trees are amazing and we love the creeks and ponds not just the lake. One of the top nicest parks around.

We love this park!! Great for boating, dogs, kids, company picnics and celebrations, biking, hiking and birding. Plus it is a GREAT park to play Pokemon Go events. Occasionally they will use the park for things like Classic car shows and recycling events, but you still can access everything. Give it a try sometime - the sunsets do not disappoint.

Great park for walking trails, fishing in Lake Tarpon, picnicking, and dog-friendly (dog parks available). Great wildlife around - birds especially. Don't expect to go swimming though.

Very large park. Well maintained with lot of shelters and benches. There is a children's play area and a dog park. Playgrounds, Boat ramps and enough parking lots inside the park. There is a board-walk on the west side. Sunset is beautiful from that point. There are benches on the board-walk. (No dogs allowed there). There is a volley-ball court too near to this board-walk. Dozens of Deers spotted in the park. Found an alligator in the swamps too.

Went for a stroll along the boardwalk. Even with the alligators in the lake it felt very safe. Great fencing. Playground looked like fun. I enjoyed the rubber mat. I wish people would not feed the squirrels, that was the only issue I had. When we would stop along the boardwalk they would come running expecting to be feed.

I was very impressed with this park. There are many opportunities to see wildlife, particularly alligators and birds. If you want to get some exercise, there is a boardwalk, plus some trails. The trees are beautiful, and there is plenty of shade. I will definitely go back!

Boardwalk loop takes you away from cars and out to the water, then inland where the trees are quite tall. It would be a run place to reserve a shelter and be in nature, near a playground and even a dog park.

Nice trails both in the foliage and on the water with a multitude of birds and wildlife. Numerous areas for large parties. Playgrounds when open, volleyball sand pit, dog park for both small and larger dogs. There are benches all over to enjoy shade or Waterview, extremely peaceful.
