A beautiful country estate that boasts a children's touch farm, a nursery, a swimming pool, brilliantly finish rooms and a great value restaurant. Sit by the fireplace sipping on a glass of red wine or out by the pond where the koi come to greet you. Great value for money accomodation which is air-conditioned with many rustic sleeper furniture. For a peaceful, relaxing, destressing environment, book into the bed and breakfast and make a weekend of it. Great bar facilities and very professional friendly staff. The owner Pieter is hands on and always willing to meet the clientele. I will be back to enjoy this gem in the country.

The Sunday buffet was horrible..the only thing which was kind of edible was the fried fish n tartar sauce..the man's.. roast chicken looked like someone tried to slaughter it after roasting ..the lamb was chunky with Dat n they seem to have run out..only good thing from main course was roast potatoes..n let's not talk about the dessert..the only good thing about being at shabanga was the time I spent with goods friends..even for a buffet if R125..there could have been a,better tasting Sunday lunch..sad to say but the spars make better Sunday lunches..would not recommend their Sunday buffets to anyone.

We only used the Animal Farmyard. Great outing for the little one and I appreciate the cleanliness. As a first time visitor, it was not clear how everything worked. Could not use the restaurant facilities as they were setting up for a function.

Was there with kids today and they enjoyed it so much! The farm yard is so quaint and well kept 😉 Ther tractor train was mellow and calm. The nursery is coming along nicely - support it! Alot of beautiful plants🙃

Guess it's okay, buffet menu is limited and the food doesn't taste too good

Had a really great meal at Shabanga last night. The owner and staff are friendly and welcoming and the food was really good. The chicken schnitzel was juicy and tender with a generous portion of chips and vegetables and a lovely cheese sauce and the steak was cooked perfectly to order with an equally generous portion of chips and salad. We will definitely be back.

Chalets are beautiful! Die Windpomp Restaurant serves delicious food! We loved every minute spent there!!! Serenity and nature are key words describing Shabanga Guest Farm!

It might be a bit far out, but so worth it. It's extremely child friendly. My children absolutely love Shabanga. You can spend the whole day there. It's great fun for adults and children.

It was a wonderful family experience. Despite not booking a table beforehand, we were accommodated and treated to a wonderful spread. Really enjoyed the touch farm and tractor train ride after. We will definitely be back.

It's a beautiful venue, unfortunately service was poor. Ordered a plate of chips because there wasn't much for vegetarian or vegan, which never arrived. We waited 45 min for the train ride until eventually someone had to phone the restaurant to find the train driver. Seating and queuing for the buffet is not within COVID protocols.

What a great place for the kids, feed the animals, play on the super playground, lots of open space for kids to run around and a train ride

Lovely day spent here feeding animals and train/tractor ride. Cute shop for trinkets available. Food at the Windpomp restaurant was well presented and delicious. Friendly service. 8/10

Great start with the kids in the touch farm area. Fed the animals and jumped on the jumping castle. Then went to the big jungle gym while waiting for the train ride and the kids loved it. That's where it went downhill. Got some Cooldrinks and looked at the menu. After a while went inside to find someone to find somebody to place the order with (granted we were not in the normal area but we were told we could sit that side while the kids played. Moved across to the deck and told them we had moved. After some time my son wanted a milkshake so went inside to order it and got a packet of chips for his little brother (stale) waited for the milkshake for a while and then came outside to wait. 45 minutes after ordering the kids food arrived. Still no milkshake. Went back inside to check and was told it would be made although they told someone else there was no ice cream left. Started to get a little irritated went to check what was happening with the food and was told it is coming out now.. Over an hour after ordering, food finally came out. Steak was white on top and cooked well done (ordered medium rare)but thought just try it. One bite and I knew something was wrong. Turned the steak over and it was burnt to a crisp. Told them to remove it from the bill and charge the rest. In that hour not once were we asked if we wanted more drinks and not a single apology from management. Left the waitress to take the brunt.

Amazing venue and lovely restaurant. Kiddies play area is amazing and there are great stalls on the property to buy from. We had the buffet, the starters and dessert was great but the mains need a bit of attention. Will def go back to try other food on the menu it looked delicious!

What an amazing venue. Just don't visit on a Thursday night. Poor service and words fail me to describe the food. Awful. Table of 20, it took the kitchen the better half of 1 to 2 hours to get the food out the kitchen. Some people were done eating whislt a lot of others had to just sit and wait. Perhaps weekends are different but not prepared to take a chance again. From Durban and expected much better when locals even recommend this.

Was a lovely evening spent with family & friends. The place warm & cozy. Staff was friendly.....unfortunately while dishing up I found a fly in the potjie which I reported to the lady on duty..and we were informed tea & coffee was on the house but got charged for it at the end.we couldn't complain because none of the other staff were in sight. But on the whole it was a great evening.

Tranquility at its best. If you feel like a slow drive outside of the city, head on down to Shabanga for a "dop" and a tasty lunch. 🌟 The serene environment will definitely help you refresh :)

👍 Staying here for a month, super friendly staff, excellent location, very neet place, the only thing that baffles me is the size of the toilet doors, they are huge, and one needs to stand next to the toilet to close them - wonder who was so clever to work this out? fact: the broader the door the deep...

👍👍 This is stunning! It's secure, spacious, clean, well organised, the host is great, there's solar power (no load-shedding) and water tanks. The rooms are very spacious, slightly minimalist (that's a good thing) but they have everything. The solar power and stored water make life very enjoyable. The l...

😠 The place was terribly dirty and there was a chicken bone along with fries in the shower. There are no words in the English language to describe the state of the kitchen. It's dirt cheap, yes but filthy as hell
