The environment is serene with large table and small tables. Great for whatever size of a group you want to come as. Their meals were delicious especially the salmon sushi ( I recommend pairing with the unagi sauce). They have a very wide variety of drinks and assorted wines, cognacs and cocktails. The bar is truly a sight to behold. The decor is great with little bit effective touches such as the samurai swords. The staff are polite and the service is very commendable. And let's talk of what I consider to be the most important (pricing). The services and meals are relatively cheap considering what they offer and it's even better if you go for platters rather than individual items. It's good value for money and an enjoyable experience

The restaurant is beautifully decorated and arranged. They had quite the collection of Japanese themed art including dolls, paintings and murals etc. as well as some real katanas on the wall. 😁 The staff: very professional. the waitress who attended us was able to helpfully answer questions about the food. The food: absolutely delicious. From the appetizer to dessert, every item had its own unique flavor, which became even better with the wasabi and soy sauce provided. Each dish was clearly carefully prepared and the dish presentation was top notch. Overall, the experience was amazing and I would love to return.

Sous chef said 'This is the best cheese cake, you'll ever have in Lagos'...he was right. (The best baked cheesecake) I tried 3 syrups with my cheesecake: strawberry, caramel and chocolate, and each one slaps. To think I merely dropped by out of curiosity and specifically on a desert hunt. I wasn't disappointed. And what's a visit to a Japanese restaurant without having some spring rolls, right? Thoroughly enjoyed those as well. Finally I got to play Samurai Girl with their samurai swords.

Amazing restaurant with a good atmosphere. The food is well prepared and authentic Japanese food. I really enjoyed the place.

One of the worst experience during trip to Lagos. Literally nothing is here except chicken. No soba, no udon, no beef, no tuna on Saturday. Miso soup 4,000 Naira. The cost is less than 200 to create it.

caveat emptor This is what was sold to me today that is as good as poison. The smell is so bad that even a blind person will know it was spoilt. Pls note that this is my first time ordering sushi from your restaurant, and it surely will be the last time. I Normally eat sushi at bungalows and I frequently eat sushi abroad but I will give your resturant a PhD award of the most terrible sushi I have ever ordered that is not fit for Human consumption and the best place for it is in the Dustbin. Thank you for wasting my money and giving me a truly terrible experience with your resturant but I shall let the world know never to come and buy food at your resturant. This is the message I sent to their watsapp page after I had complained to their supposed nigerian manager. He said he would speak to the chef and get back to me which he never did. So now am letting the world know not to go and eat there unless you want food poisoning. Good evening madam. Please the manager will be chanced to speak with you in 20minutes from now. Thank you. 👆 a text message that the manager will call. I guess the foreigners that ran the place several years ago have left hence why now it's as useless as the country its situated in. Five stars for a friendly, upscale dining experience. The restaurant is visually impressive, and the cuisine is top notch. The sushi dishes are not only fresh and delicious, but visually stunning. Photograph worthy. The restrooms are clean and well stocked. The bar is immaculate and well stocked. The Asian style entres are done perfectly. Overall, this is a must if you are visiting Victoria Island. Parking in front is adequate as well. Is it pricey? Yes. But when you see the value for your money, you will consider it well spent. Thank you Bonzai for an excellent dining experience.

I love Bonzai Restaurant. For the past five years this is where I’ve eaten sushi and I honestly don’t want to try elsewhere.I live in abuja and the first thing I do is get me some sushi when I’m in Lagos. The sushi platters are amazing and you can ask them to replace any of the fish with another one. Courteous and friendly waiters. Great music and the ambiance is the best.
