Today on Kevin's Diner Shannon wanted to do some shopping at the Edinburgh Premium Outlet mall. So after a nice motorcycle ride from Brown County to Edinburgh I dropped her off at the mall. I then set out to find some gas for the motorcycle and lunch for my tummy. Big Red's Place in the old downtown of Edinburgh was my lunch destination. Today's special was two coney dogs and fries. Trust me, I had a hard time passing that up but I did. Two farmers were also lunching there and they said Big Red's had the best breaded pork tenderloin around. So since I had recently tried the Edinburgh Diners tenderloin I decided that I would try Big Red's and compare. Big Red's tenderloin did not disappoint. It was big, thick, meaty and the breading was good and stayed adhered to the meat. It had good flavor and I'm guessing it was cooked in fresh oil. The crinkly fries were hot and crisp, everything that you would want in a fried spud. Washed it down with two cold Arni Palmers. The prices are very reasonable! It was a very good meal and I enjoyed it very much. The service was great and the company of my two new farmer friends was even better. 5 Stars for Big Red's...... Until next time Bon appetit Ps. My next review will hopefully be about salad and water. Breaded pork tenderloins are a little heavy in this heat.

Big Red's Place Restaurant serve breakfast and lunch hours from morning to afternoon the breakfast menu was quite a list including the large selection for lunch. Located downtown Edinburgh, Indiana. Home cooking, and desert was superb. You will be glade to visit this quaint style eatery atmosphere. This would be a great motorcycle stop during summer.

Had Reds breakfast catered at work today. All of our meals were fantastic. Fruit was fresh, and pancakes were top-notch. I make my own sausage gravy and normally don't enjoy it from a restaurant, but this is the best version I've had from a restaurant. I will definitely return and will tell everyone else to give them a try. 10/10.

We travel full time in an RV, and therefore we eat at a lot of "local" restaurants. This one ranks in the top 5. Their Tenderloin sandwich was a nice Fresh breaded piece of meat that was about 1/2" thick meat and about 9" around. It was big enough to make 4 really nice sandwiches. My wife ordered the "Manhattan" dinner, it was the same size of Tenderloin on 2 pieces of bread cut in half and a large amount of mashed potatoes and then a very tasty brown gravy over all of it. Both these meals were very good, well prepared and served very quickly. Great service from the friendly staff, we're going back tonight for the AYCE catfish and another Tenderloin.

Great food and great service! I loved my hand breaded tenderloin and onion rings and my wife loved her curly dog and salad. I'll definitely be recommending to friends and family!

If you are looking for a thick meaty breaded tenderloin and not one beat to death, I highly recommend Big Red’s Place located on Main Street in the downtown area. Delicious and definitely a “👍👍” Be sure to ask for Renee, who is friendly, welcoming, and attentive to your menu requests.

Great family ran resturant friendly staff and great service and food and very fair prices as a small business owner myself I am tickled to find places like this a true jewel small businesses are the heartbeat of this country I firmly believe still.

This is what a diner is supposed to be. Great menu with numerous selections. Veggie omelet with toast was served quick and hot. The breakfast plate eggs with ham, bacon and sausage was as tasty as it looked. Daily specials looked good.

Top notch food, my favorite place for lunch! Food is excellent and the pricing is unbeatable for what you get. The beta thing is the service here is out of this world. I absolutely love this diner.

Nice little restaurant. Hidden in Edinburgh,IN. It was our first time there. It was a busy place but good reason for it. It was very good food for the price. The portions are perfect. We got the Friday special of fried biscuits and Apple butter for $2.95. I was expecting 4 biscuits for that price. We got 10!!!!! I was pleasantly surprised by that. It was delicious. Will defiantly return.

Very friendly and AMAZING FOOD! The ONLY place in town to get great home cooked meals.
