I was scheduled to have an interview at this clinic today. I realized it was farther north than I wanted, so I called to speak to the manager. Well I'll tell you, this is not a clinic I want to work at or the type of management I want to work for. I started calling at 9:00 a.m. when they opened, and still by 12:00 p.m. nobody will answer the phone. The mailbox has been full since 9:00 a.m. . I guess nobody knows how to check that on a daily basis. Then, right around 10:30 I called and my number was blocked from calling the clinic. I guess I had called too many times, they got annoyed by me and didn't want to answer the call. After reading several bad reviews, and seeing that this is something the receptionists do there, I knew exactly what had happened. It's not a wonder why he is trying to hire better receptionists. I would have been a great addition and definitely a nicer employee than he currently has.

Receptionist was an absolute cow. Called to ask what walk in times were like, and she said that they no longer do walk ins due to covid. Okay. Asked to hear about booking an appointment for tomorrow. She wanted to hear why, so I told her. She said that I would have to book with my family doctor. I said that my doctor is on leave and the replacement isn't for another week, and do you have any recommendations for what I need. She LAUGHED at me and said again, talk to your doctor. What an absolute joke.

I don’t recommend even stepping foot at this clinic. Honestly, the receptionist was incredibly rude and unprofessional in the most possible way she could be, almost as if her job was to yell at patients rather than actually helping them. The worst part is that the doctors refuse to see you after “arguing” with the receptionist. I got some advice for you, instead of gossiping like teenage middle school girls, perhaps put that 5-7 years of university to work? You aren’t getting any younger. I apologize if I’m being rude, but judging by the majority of these reviews, this clinic needs some work. And better employees.

If you are planning to visit this clinic please avoid appointment with Mouruf Oshodi. I couldn’t even utter Dr. before his name because I strongly believed he doesn’t deserve the title. I was treated poorly by this man. My doctor happened to be on vacation that is why I was unfortunately scheduled to him. I was explaining to him the reason of my visit as I was told that If I have any concern I can be seen by any doctor in this clinic while my family doctor is away. Instead of listening to my concern he was so in rush to send me to the receptionist and make them deal with what I needed to a doctor. Even before he was about to direct me to the receptionist area I told him that I have another conceand question and yet he proceeded tell me I am ONLY allowed to have ONE question. Like what? You didn’t and wouldn’t help me with my first concern and then decided to totally ignore what I was about to ask/concern to you. Such a horrible person, I just couldn’t believe that there is such a person that took a very serious and supposed to be a rewarding profession all to shame. Disgusting. I feel bad for the receptionists, they were both nice and have to witnessed how I was being treated by that horrible person. One receptionis is the one who actually made me feel a little better as I was so hurt and shocked by how I was being treated. Even in both receptionist faces I felt they were sorry for me and one made sure that I will properly get the attetion needed so she immediately look for an appointment to when I can actually see my family doctor as he is coming back soon. On the other hand, our family is so grateful to Dr. Embaya and Dr. Slanina. They have a heart of gold and such sweet souls. We need more Doctors like them, may God bless them with good health and long life so they can help more people. We also love the receptionist here. They were always helpful and polite.

Unprofessional, they didn’t attend me for half an hour, my appointment was near about 1 . but doctor didn’t show up until 2 .unprofessional, I wouldn’t recommend, wastage of time, I felt discriminated . As I talked to receptionist. She said you need to talk to doctor, I can’t do anything, really frustrating , they called me for the results, and it was more frustrating doctor took 1 minute and told me your results are okay. I was shocked.

I've visited this clinic a handful of times and have been very understanding and patient everytime because the front desk staff were nice. However my last visit was just a great disappointment. I has an appointment with a female physician that I requested when I booked. Got there and half an hour after my appointment, i was told the female physician can't see me and asked if im ok with dr. Oshodi instead. Having already waited 30 mins, i said ok. Well, another 45 mins later, Dr. Oshodi finally came in. (I've seen him multiple times and I have been very patient and understanding regardless of how cold he seemed to be.) Anyway, I was there for mental health assessment. And he was the most unsympathetic person I have ever met! I was crying and he was so pushy. He cared more about typing on his computer than connecting. The only thing that would make me go back to this clinic is the paediatrician that was good to my kids. Other than that, i'm staying away.

Wish I could give 0 star. Visited this clinic to see if it would be a good fit for my family. I was the 1st in line to speak with the receptionist, 2 men (white) joined the lined after me. The receptionist called one of the men to the counter before me. She got called out by one of the men given that I was there 1st. Absolute racist! To add insult to injury, I waited over 30 mins past my scheduled time to see the doctor. Absolute waste of time. I ended up leaving before I saw the doctor. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST

The doctors at Manning are all good, however, they are rarely available when you need to see one. my biggest complaint with reception. The front staff was almost always rude, and snarky and I've been hung up on multiple times. Then, to top it all off, our family doctor dropped my husband as a patient at the end of the pandemic. We hadn't been for some time because everyone was told to stay home unless it was absolutely necessary. So, I guess we get punished for doing what we're told? Anyway, long story short, we found another doctor at a different clinic and we are much happier there!

Some sad fellows as receptionists. I wish I know the name of the one that attended to me. She told me to have a nice day after a very unpleasant and rude response from her 😀. The one with the dark hair. Get some joy guys. What happened - I went to the clinic with my friend who had an appointment. I asked the lady at the front desk if I could see my doctor after my friend to ask a question but that it's not important and I can always come back as the clinic looked empty, no one waiting. She rudely said I had to wait and I was like it's fine, I'll come back. She then asked me why I wanted to see the doctor, took my details and said I should sit. After my friend came out, we waited like 20min and I walked up to her.  She said I already to you you can't see any Doc now. And I was like why would you ask why I wanted to see the Doc, take my details and ask me to sit when I told you I could come back if i had to wait. She didn't even listen before she said nice day.

If I could give -10 stars I would. This place is absolute garbage to say the least. I booked an appointment for 3:20pm, I was told over the phone the appointment would me limited to 10 minutes, which already shows they just want you in and out. To make a long story short, I got there at 3:15 only to wait until 4:00 to see the doctor for all of 3 minutes and to have him leave while mid conversation. He only fill 1 of the 2 prescriptions I needed filled. The professionalism in this place is lacking no to mention their compassion for their patients. DR. Mouruf Oshodi should NOT work in medical care. He deserves to have his license taken away, he is the worst rated doctor in the city. There is a reason this place has such a low rating. Don't waste your time.

Such saddd girls at the recpetion😂. I called them to ask for there names so i can make a complaint to alberta health services and they slammed the phone down and blocked every phone number coming in. All she said was " manning drive medical" than i hear a click. If you girls want to keep your job keep your respect towards your patients like you would do to yours, customer service goes along away expecially the ones who are sick. So disgusted in this clinic. Highly recommend to go somewhere else!. If i can rate it a 0 i would

Waited over an hour for Dr. Oshodi with an appointment for my mother. Awful bedside matter. He spent 2 minutes in the room. He doesn’t listen. Has no care for patients. Accomplished nothing, only wasted our time. Avoid this doctor.

First appointment went very well. I was sent for tests and told to come back in 2 days. The doctor I saw then took a week off so wasn't there. They refused to let me see another doctor or phone me with the results. They knew I lived 500 km away but expected me to stay in a hotel for a week or drive back and forth at $2/L!? Ridiculous. Clearly I found another clinic to interpret the results for me. Thank God the province created Netcare.

Bad clinic and worse service I don't recommend the rude and unfriendly reception staff who are more than half an hour late every time I go. Failure to follow up on my health I had some heart tests and they said they would call me and tell me the results. I'm still waiting for more than a year they didn't tell me the results and I didn't take a prescription until today!!!! Worse, I've been on a waiting list of over two years to be able to get an asthma test in a clinic. What a mess!!! The patient is supposed to die or deteriorate his health and is still waiting for you!

They should stop advertising as a walk-in clinic because they never take walk-ins. I tried 3 different times in the last couple months, even tried first thing at 9am. They tell you "you should have called before" but they don't answer the phone. Front staff are rude and dismissive.

I have met Dr Oshodi and the paediatrician here. They are overall great doctors, I can’t fault them. The ladies at the reception so far so good, I have not had any personal or direct problem with them BUT the time management at this clinic is painfully terrible. Even with an appointment and arriving right on time, I still wait up to an hour. I took an hour and a half off work today (putting in mind the regular delays) only to see the doctor over an hour after my appointment. This hurt me so bad I could almost cry seeing how much time I wasted here. If you can’t deal with your time being wasted (with no single apology offered) please don’t go to this clinic. It’s just maddening!

Confused by a lot of the reviews... I've been coming here for years and I love my doctor and the receptionists. They try their best with a usually busy clinic, I have never experienced any rudeness or bad attitude from them. I actually would recommend this clinic to anyone who asked

This place is a mess my girlfriend had an appointment and still waited an hour and a half and when she was finally seen they made her feel embarrassed and didn't provide any medical care. Save yourself the headache that they could not treat and don't go.

The doctors are always in hurry and they don't even listen to you if u tell them about your issues and problems they always recommend to book another appointment. It's like a total waste of time there. Please I am asking the authorities to have a look on there behavior and their work. They are not there to help the patients there only focus is to get as much as patients they get and money out of it

I got my COVID vaccine from here upon a recommendation. The Asian lady (manager) took 20 minutes to enter my information in the computer. When time to get the needle, she stabbed me with the needle which almost paralyzed my arm with pain for 2 days and didn't give me any bandaid either. Later I had to wait another 20 minutes to get my paperwork as well. Also to mention I was the only patient there. Later after I left, I was called again to come back to sign some paperwork. Shouldn't have gone back and let her deal with her mistake herself. Overall horrible experience and I suggest her to think about her career choice and start being a little more gentle and time efficient with patients.

Terrible clinic. Stay away. They booked and ultra sound for my daughter and then they forgot to send the requisition. My daughter went to clinic and they said she had her OB now that she needed to get it from them. But the appointment was booked by Alex who has no sense of being nice to people. This clinic and especially the front end staff “Alex” are a bunch of rude and entitled people. My daughter was suppose to find out her gender for her baby and we already had a gender reveal all planned out. WORST CLINIC AND PEOPLE EVER. STAY AWAY FROM THIS CLINIC

It’s a shame to see all these negative experiences, as a society we need to come together and expose unprofessional practices such as this. If you are going in having bad experiences I suggest recording your interactions (even if in secret) and going to the CPSA website and putting in formal complaints for individual doctors. You can also try contacting AHS and as well by putting in a complaint with Alberta Ombudsman (they deal with self-regulated health professions & etc). Contacting the news is also a lovely way to expose unprofessional behaviour and they tend to be able to gather multiple people for exposure.

Does anyone even work here?? I called countless times at various times of day and NO ANSWER . No voicemail either. Pretty ignorant considering they have clearly responded to some of their 1 star reviews saying "Walk-in patients always should check walk-in wait times on our website or call before coming in" so who exactly are we even calling on the other end of this phone number because I've yet to speak to anyone employed there. This is actual patient care being compromised due to lack of professionalism and organization. This is NOT how a clinic should be run.

Scheduled appointment for 10 o'clock. Even though place not busy we left without seeing the doctor around 11:30. It appeared patients comming in much after us were being taken care of before us.

this place was quite decent at first, until my family and i came ten minutes late due to a train. the front desk lady was yelling at us for no reason. i was confused and i started to get very anxious. i just wanted to know when i could reschedule and was asking if i can come another day to reschedule because i have work. and to all my working single mothers, we can just miss any day at work like its nothing. after i came home from work, i got a message saying that i cant come there anymore. i was scared and worried if i couldnt find another doctor, i need one fast. all my daughters have horrible health issues. this place is horrible.

Dr. Fatima Alfaki can’t even read test results from her computer. She has been my family physician for years, but I feel like she’s been absolutely no help and has, in fact, made my condition worse. When asking if it was normal to practice medicine in this specific way, Fatima got highly offended and was like, “Ya, you can switch,” and that was the last I had ever heard from her—trying to get my medication after that was impossible. As she kept telling her assistant, “he’s refusing to see me.” But I never did. Obviously, someone’s bitter. My mother has even been bullied by the front staff here. They’ve laughed and commented on her weight and health conditions. I know it’s hard to find family physicians, but don’t settle for this type of negligence.

Very unprofessional front end staff. Tried phoning in before arriving for an appointment, spent the whole 13 minute drive on hold only to be turned away when we got there. When I arrived at the clinic, the clinic was completely empty and no one was at the front. Tried phoning in after I left to speak with the manager, have been on hold now for 21 minutes.

Arrived at the clinic for my 315 appointment and was told the doctor that I had booked with wasn't even in the office that day. My appointment was moved and changed without my knowledge to over a month later. The receptionist gave me the worst attitude and made it seem like this was all my fault, that I had clearly just messed up the appointment. I didn't I wrote it down as I was speaking to the receptionist when I had called over a month ago. Unacceptable all around

Not professional enough for my baby. It is impossible to book an appointment with his doctor (months of waiting). The receptionist is just pure careless. Clinics like this make me question the health system!

WORST reception staff ever. Worst customer service, going into a medical clinic the front staff are supposed to make you feel welcome this clinic is the complete opposite they are always gossiping loud and all around very unprofessional. Would not recommend to anyone..

I've been going here for years. My family doctor is Dr Alfaki and her receptionist is Alex. I appreciate them both. I'll come in and I'm always welcomed by Alex. She's very positive and happy and keeps me updated on my times. Very rare do I have to wait to see my family doctor but sometimes I will. Longest I've waited was 30 minutes, but it's been a while since I've had to wait. Even if I, myself, am late, I still get in to see my doctor. Dr Alfaki listens to me and offers medical and alternative suggestions to my health problems. She is careful of my medication intake and refers me to other doctors when needed. She truly cares. I'm also thankful my pharmacy is attached to the medical office. It's a one stop shop!

I was not paid to write this nor do I receive benefit from it, but I am unhappy to see many people disparaging my Doctor and my Nurses and the Staff of Manning Medical Clinic, so I want to set the record straight after the Karens have had their fun here. I have been coming to this clinic for 6+ years, during that time I was in the worst health of my life. Dr. Embaya, Alex, Jordan, & many others who have come and gone from that time have been the reason I am slowly getting back on my feet. They never gave up on me, even when I wanted to give up on myself. Thank you. (I'm sorry to read that so many people are having problems there, but in regards to the phones not working & being hung up on, that's a technical problem they are aware of & trying to fix.)

Their doctor that can't even prescribe zopiclone. Never experienced that before. The reception is rude, dismissive, and next to positive she rolled her eyes at me. You don't like your job get a new one.

The receptionists doesn’t really know what there mistake is. They are not answering the calls and put you in a long hold. They need to fire this ladies totally!!! Instead of helping the clients they fight with them and act like we bully them. Never did I meet any kind of this receptionists in any other clinic.

USE AN AHS PRIMARY CARE NETWORK CLINIC. THIS IS NOT ONE OF THEM, THEY ARE TOTALLY PRIVATE AND ACCOUNTABLE TO NOBODY! This is an all around bad clinic. Starting first and foremost with the reception staff. They are rude, they are condescending, they are combative, they are always late and don't value your time, snarky, etc. They even hang up on you mid sentence! Unbelievable!! The thing is Alberta Health Services will not listen to your complaints about them. I've tried. The reason they don't is because they are not part of the AHS primary Care Network and are a totally private clinic accountable to nobody besides the stakeholders of the clinic. How this can be is another discussion altogether but all I can advise you to do is to choose a clinic from the AHS Primary Care Network. Believe me if they were a PCN network the bad receptionists at this clinic would have been properly dealt with long ago. Shame on this clinic for keeping them this long.

My son needed a prescription, first the Dr forgot to write it and staff couldn’t reach him for two+ weeks, then when it was sent to the pharmacy, the pharmacy was not able to fill it as they needed to confirm the dose and substitutions as there was a shortage and they were not able to connect with the Dr. Finally after nearly two months of waiting my son was able to take his medication. Absolutely awful follow-up. I will say, when we met in the office with the Dr. We felt heard and our son received a thorough check up, it was everything after the office visit that was beyond brutal.

Such poor and horrible reception, the ladies in the front gosiping about how they didnt like to work late, but had to wait for MY FAMILY to come in, pulled her little snarky attitude once we told her we did not have 1 set of ids. Turned my whole family away over 1 set of ids when we are already on file. Never in my life would i go back to " manning drive" barbie mansion lol.

The doctors are great . The problem with the receptionist, I have read many reviews and I can see this place going down because of who handles the front desk . They are very aggressive and pick up a fight with you and willing to say that you said that and actually you did not !!!! I am not sure why they pick such personality to deal with patient where being understanding and pationate is priority 😔

The staff answering phones are so rude and dismissive, not helpful at all. If you actually need help go to a different clinic, they don’t like their jobs here and it makes the experience very unpleasant.

They canceled my appointment 1 hour beforehand because I hadn't seen my doctor in a few years. Doesn't seem like a very good reason to cancel an appointment. Very unprofessional and the staff at the front are very rude.

This is annoying, I really didn't want to write this. The receptionist kept giving me attitude! I was just wondering what time was my appointment! She could of said it nicely but hell no she did not. If I could, I would give her a 0/10. Horrible experience, would not reccomend.

They are not accepting walk in's at the moment. I should have assumed that out when I called to ask if they where. There phone number wasn't working when I called them. There was no voice mail, just a beep. They advertise as a walk in clinic but there's a sign on there door saying appointments only. This should be mentioned on there website.

I sent a form booking online twice in the past month and got no response. I left a voicemail and no response within 2 days. I finally got on the phone with one of their receptionists to be told that the service listed on their website is no longer offered at their clinic. The receptionist I spoke to was also very rude and short with me. Listen to the other reviews and avoid this clinic at all cost.

Used to be really good, I saw Dr Hajjar who was really nice. But the reception staff have been so terrible lately, I have had to leave and go to Eastgate Medical Clinic instead. The reception staff never answer the phone, never return calls, and are super rude. Had one lady ask me snarkily one time on the phone "Why are you still taking that medication?" for a chronic condition I have. I was so shocked I was almost speachless. After the 10th time trying to phone for an appointment and getting ignored, I have officially left and will never come back. DO NOT GO HERE!

I have been looking to register with a clinic as our family doctor but no luck until I walk in to this clinic. I met an angel today that give my son a chance to get a doctor to look at his eye infection. I can not thank you enough for helping him. She even make appointment for my family to get a doctor as our family doctor. It's hard nowadays to get one. Our previous doctor retired we have no luck finding one. Everyone is friendly in this clinic. The doctor prescribed an eye drop, oilment and anti biotic which previous clinic I went just an eye drop. But the infection is the bottom eyelid.

We were here at the clinic this morning for the first visit b/c our GP wasn't available today. We called in just wanted to see if this clinic will accept walk-in patient because we were declined by other 3 walk-in clinics already as they accepted only by appointment. Thankfully the lady on the phone was very helpful, we called in at 11:15am, she booked my daughter right away at 11:50am. The doctor saw her around 12:15pm. The front ladies are very nice. Thank you very much for all your help. We are very impressed with the service.

Best staff ever!! Big sign saying walk ins Fretted with a scowl and question about appointment. Nobody inside but me. I said no I’m here for walk in. “ No walk ins available” is the answer I get, in a very rude attitude.
