The culinary journey commenced with an assortment of dishes, each portraying the quintessential tastes of traditional Vietnamese cuisine. However, despite the flavors being reminiscent of the familiar pho essence, the execution faced hurdles. The soup, unfortunately, arrived lukewarm at best, lacking the customary steaming allure that characterizes this comforting dish. Moreover, the noodles, while infused with commendable flavors, suffered from an overcooked texture, diminishing the intended satisfaction. Among the ordered dishes, the shrimp salad rolls were commendable, delivering a satisfactory presentation and offering a glimpse of the culinary artistry within. The Vietnamese coffee, a beloved beverage, met expectations, contributing a delightful note to the meal. The service encountered during this visit leaned towards laissez-faire, lacking the attentiveness that often enhances the dining experience. Similarly, the ambiance adhered to the expectations of a mid-tier Vietnamese restaurant, presenting nothing beyond the anticipated modesty, devoid of any distinctive charm or extravagance. While the flavors reminisced about the usual pho experience, the lack of precision in execution detracted from the overall enjoyment. The presentation and the coffee met expectations, adding a touch of satisfaction to an otherwise middling encounter. For those seeking an uncomplicated Vietnamese dining affair with flavors that echo tradition, this eatery may suffice. However, those expecting precision and an elevated dining experience might find themselves yearning for more.

This place would get 100/5 stars if they could. Literally the best pho i have had in my life. The sate is out of this world. Update: I wrote this review years ago, I have lived in many places in Canada and it is still my favourite. This is the best pho in Canada. & Edmonton Green onion cakes are where it’s at (dip them in your pho broth!)

High quality food. I had the chicken vermicelli. Fresh ingredients, crispy lettuce, yummy matchstick carrots, well cooked/seasoned chicken. Friendly staff, and the cost is low considering how good it is, and the portion sizes are quite large. Menu is a bit tough if you don't already know the food names well, more pics would help. Quality (non splintery) chop sticks, and a variety of tasty sauces at the table. 10/10

Busy and good Vietnamese Soup noodles place. Hot (temperature) broth is key for a good soup noodle. We enjoyed these very much. The side bean sprout and Thai basil can be a bigger portion. Overall, we like it and will for sure come back again.

Absolutely one of my favourite Vietnamese places in the city, regardless of which location you go to. Great service, decent prices for portions, and their 5 colour bowl is the best around 👌

Stopped by for a quick dinner. Friendly staff and our food came out quickly. Ordered the #37 - vermicelli with shredded pork, shrimp, grilled meatballs, and a spring roll. The food here is reasonably priced and taste good.

I've come here a couple of times and I have always enjoyed my meal here! I always order the Bun Bo Hue, which is my all time favourite dish. The broth here is more mild than I prefer, but the amount of meat they give and how melt in your mouth tender it is makes up for it in this case. I do wish they would use more shrimp paste and chillies though! The restaurant is very clean and the service is always fast. I have also found that the quality of the food here is pretty consistent.

Coming from Toronto where we don’t have pho sate or onion cake, it was a pleasant treat! So much so I’ve been here for the past 4 weeks and brought friends with me 🤤 The service was quick and they were accommodating to a friends diet restrictions however its a bit pricey for a bowl of pho imo

Best pho in town, just seriously overpriced for the small bowl. $15 including gst for a tiny soup is ridiculous. Best to do take out, get a large bowl, to split between 2.

I come here with my boyfriend at least once every few weeks and the service and food quality never disappoint. They make your meal fast, it tastes the exact same every time we come, and it is delicious and worth the price. This is easily the best Pho I have tried in Edmonton.

Been coming here for the Beef Satay Pho with peanuts since they've opened. I'd say it's easily the best satay in the city. It's got a bit of a spicy kick to it, but not overwhelming. I got the XL size, which is very filling but so yummy. I usually drink almost all the soup because it's so flavourful. Definitely recommend it on a rainy, cool, or snowy day. Thank me later!

Dropped by after going to a weekend market at the Aviation museum. The three of us ordered a grilled beef vermicelli, a grilled chicken spring roll vermicelli, a pho tai chin and a spring onion cake. Noodles are cooked to the right texture, meat is fantastic. Portion is fair, we couldn’t finish the spring onion cake and had it taken home with us. Was a bit busy when we were there at around 2 on a Sunday, had to wait a bit for service and food but it was not too bad.

I hope to give a better review at another time. Unfortunately, I only noticed when I got home that they charged me twice. When I tried to pay for the first time, the person ringing me up cancelled the transaction so I thought maybe she entered numbers in error. That's fine- but I noticed that the first charge to my account has not been returned. This is not the first time that this location has taken more money than what was due. I would go to dispute it, but I'm worried they will dismiss me like they dismissed my friends who noted that their bill had an extra charge.

Pretty average-tasting pho. I have been here many times, and no matter how hard I try to love this place, I just can't. It's a hit or miss. I find the taste inconsistent but always on the sweet side, too sweet to our liking. I'm a big Pho lover, so I know a good Pho when I taste one, and unfortunately, this is not it. It's not terrible, but not great either. Good and fast service, parking, and availability of seats.

Always delicious when we go there. There is generally a bit of a line up because they are so good and so affordable but it's worth the wait! This is our go to restaurant when we visit Edmonton! Great for dine in or take out.

Amazing! I ordered a few items - Beef salad rolls: super fresh, warm, vermicelli was perfect, beef was tender and delicious. Comes in 3 with peanut sauce! Spring rolls: crispy, hot, great flavourful filling. Comes in 3 with fish sauce. Bubble tea with fruit: I ordered strawberry, real fresh tasting strawberries, good quality tapioca (soft) - Delicious! 10/10 would recommend to all of my family and friends!

Awesome, 3 sizes of pho, came out quick was hot and the ratio of noodles to meat was perfect! Tea tasted like rice tea or something wasn't the usual tea you'd get but it was still tasty.

Always an amazing experience here. The servings are quite large for a reasonable price, leaving your wallet and tummy satisfied. The servers are also very friendly making sure your needs are met. If you're looking for a quick, healthy, and filling meal, this is your place to go.

My favourite go-to Pho spot! The number 16 with spicy beef peanut pho is my go to. I also really like their vermicelli bowls because the meat is seasoned very well. Portions are bigger than other Pho places that I’ve ordered from. Come with a big appetite because this food will fill you up.

Being Edmonton born and raised I’ve gone to a lot of restaurants in the city and tried a lot of different food but my first time for Vietnamese was at Pho Hoan Pasteur and I fell in love with Pho/Vietnamese! These guys have some of the best food and nicest staff in the city and I always look forward to coming or taking friends and family! 🤤

Ordered on uber. So disgusted by the packaging. They put sauce packets on top of vegetables and ordered a large pha and got litterly two bites of noodles. Meat was sitting on top of the noodles staining them. Such a rip off all went into the garbage no way am I eating food contaminated with packets that have been touched who knows how many times.

Omg! I'm so happy I ordered from here the other day. I bought their Beef Sate and a regular Beef Pho off Skip to see what their Pho tasted like since I was craving beef satay and couldn't get to Song Huong near Northgate mall. Now their Beef Satay is the best one I've had in Edmonton so I was curious to see if Pho Hoan could measure up. Pho Hoan does have a delicious Beef Satay. It tastes a little more like curry though I will say but it wasn't bad at all I wasn't mad at it! The actual beef pho... I could have lived without. Didn't taste that good. The beef meat they have is great too, not chewy. I live near the Pho Hoan Pasteur on the west end so I will definitely be dropping by there and ordering their Beef Satay again! Yum!

Both of us ordered #13 and the service very quick and they managed to get us a table faster since many customers came for dine-in too. I love the broth but I'd still prefer pho in the other noodle house on 127st (well I think everyone has own preference) but pho hoan Pasteur still worth to try

Some of the best Vietnamese food we have tasted! The house special beef soup was especially good. The butter shrimp as well! Good service, great food! Would definitely recommend trying their food.
