This sticker is placed at the back of every seat and they try to falsely charge tourists 52 Euro for obviously cheaper headphones by accusing them that they broke it. I had to argue with the ticket seller at the beginning of the tour that the headphone was already faulty as I seat and he insisted like two minutes only repeating the very sentence „sie you broke it“ and pointing this picture that says they worth 52 Euros. Apparently they do it all the time since they put this legally none-sense warning there and that is why I wanted to warn other visitors.

It's ok. CASH ONLY. I'd like to try the "white train" instead next time or in the next town. The green (and white) train leaves every half hour or more, if the train does not have 10 passengers. The tour is posted as 35 minutes of driving time. Only 2 of the 4 headphones were working 100% in our row and our friends behind us only had 1 of 4. The non-working headphones only had one side of the headphone working. The most important part that I felt was lacking was the "guided" portion. So much more history could have been talked about in this ancient city. So much was missing and too much classical music. The music was beautiful, but so much more could have been narrated and shared. For example... What type of construct)besides "French Style."Stone from Lorraine or stone from Les Voges, imported from ... show us the oldest building on the route and tell us when it was constructed. There were many old visual signs (for those who could not read) on the route, like butcher, baker, etc. Tell us about them when we pass them. Souch was not said. Also, it was difficult to take pictures because the pauses were not longer enough.

A "City Centre" with "much character"! Many "city centres" in Europe and North America have seen a substantial reduction in their attractiveness and "special character"! Colmar's city centre, and ancient buildings has lots of character-- and is definitely influenced by the presence of neighbouring Switzerland and Germany as well as the Rhine River. There is not an overabundance of traffic and one can easily walk around or take the "special train" (with descriptions in more than a dozen languages). It is a definite "must see". I hope that this Review has been helpful.

An interesting experience for us. As our feet are tired of walking. This will be the best transportation to move around Colmar, best for tourists with young kids, elderly or tired feet like us. Hahaa.. The left side of the train has an in-build glass, good for those scared of cold air/wind during the ride or can prevent young kids falling off. The top of the train has a glass shelter, good for rain/shine weather, convenient for pictures taking if you want. The right hand side of the train is open air for people like us who enjoy the mother of nature.

Very nice experience for families 👪 loved the route and had a great time and interesting information about the architecture of downtown colmar. The audio guide supports the Arabic language, and that was nice to have. The only thing that was disappointing is that they only accepted cash 💸 so we had to wait for the next ride because of that. Highly recommended 🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃

Rude and unprofessional service. We had to pay cash and they told us paying by card was not possible, and everyone after us could pay by card! Also they don’t take into account COVID regulations of keeping distance, and put different families in one row. We visited on 18th Aug. the ride itself is ok for kids to listen in their own language to the city’s history.

Nice train ride through all the attractions around Colmar, a little bumpy, but not to bad. Feel like taking a train ride in Disneyland ☺️

The tour was nice. No safety for the participants. A sudden break and our kid was injured. Later Edit: My child was sitting between me and my wife. And the answer of the driver for this issue was inappropriate. You shoul pay more attention to safety. Maybe some seatbelts might be useful. And no, there is no mistake.

(Translated by Google) This allowed us to visit Colmar in a different way. Good for children. Too bad the headphones can't hear properly. We only retained 10% of what Colmar could have revealed to us. Hoping this will be changed for future visit. Because for my taste other little train is better and longer.

Experiencing Colmar in a train isn’t a bad idea for those who have difficulty walking. But usually this city is tiny enough to covered entirely by foot in a day, at max 1.5 days. So, for those who can walk, I would recommend to walk and explore the city .

Small old city. And in my openion no need for train ride. I took the ride with my kids and even they didn't get excited about. Most of the families try to find attraction to their kids. But it wasn't.

This ride is quite informative, it covers the main attraction, its fun, short, and a great alternative to exploring by foot. It only lasts about 35min and costs around 6.5EU - the recording on board covers more than ten languages for your convenience. We took it as soon as we got there and then explored the parts that fascinated us by foot

It is then that the route branches off towards the city center in the direction of Little Venice. Finally, the tour allows you to discover the city, with multilingual explanations in the helmet provided.

It covers an area that can be reached on foot in a short time. No interest if you have no problem walking According to your answer I have to add : Taking into account the routes you took repeatedly, of course, it is seven kilometers! And in the second place, it is better to be polite to the commentators. You can not determine who will use this train. We used it and we write our opinion.

Taking the little tourist train is a good way to explore the streets in the center (old town) of Colmar. It gives you an idea which places to walk to and visit after the train ride. Ticket prices were Okay (around 20€ for two adults and two small kids). The ride offers headsets with many languages to choose from. Depending on the position of the train, you can hear historic information of buildings through the headset.

We did appreciate that they had put plastic up between the rows, due to Covid. (The other 'train' tour does not) **edit for clarity, we DID take the green train. I was trying to say that they did a GOOD job by providing separation between the rows of passengers** I wouldn't recommend this tour though. The audio tour provides VERY little information. Basically 'this building is ____, and was built in ____". Then classical music until you get to the next building. No information about the founding of Colmar, the history of the town, what happened during the world wars, etc. You'd be better off walking around and using Google lense to tell you about each building. Colmar isn't that big, you'll get far more information, and it'll save you 7 euros per person.

Sehr unfreundlich, sehr enge Sitze, lange Menschen können in den Wagen nicht problemlos sitzen. Am schlimmsten war der prollige, laute Ticketverkäufer, der anscheinend dachte, wir würden ihn nicht verstehen

An easy way to see Colmar in a glimpse. It isn't a hop-on/hop-off train, so it's ideal for those who have limited time and elderly.

  • 1/5 Celia 7 months ago on Google
The person who sold us the tickets was terribly rude and abrupt with the old man sitting next to us. He shouldn’t be in this job. We couldn’t get our audioguides to work and were squeezed in the train like sardines. Once we could actually hear the audioguide it was hardly worth it as there was very little spoken and hardly any information given. It is the worst city tour I have ever been on.

  • 2/5 Mélodie K. 8 months ago on Google
When the noise outside was low enough and I could hear the commentary, it was useless. Didn't learn anything about Colmar. I do not recommend it. Still putting a 2 stars because the city is beautiful and the track was pleasant. Edited to add, I did put the sound the be the loudest and it was still very difficult to hear and I'm not of hard hearing.

The staff was rudely speaking to us, while we asked if we could sit in cabine 2, he didn’t even turn his head and told us to go ahead to 1 which is crowded and didn’t have enough space for legs, it kinda have ruined the whole experience from the very get go. The ride itself is pretty chilling and enjoyable.

A great way to get an overall look at the city. Afterward, you can meander around looking for all the things you saw along g the ride. Although, I must say, there are so many other pedestrian ways, we wandered around quite a bit and never did find the cheese shop we were looking for. Fortunately, we passed a different one on our way back.
