If you have experienced hot pot before, this might be a disappointment. The condiments and meats/fish are available buffet-style. So if you don’t mind buffet you will be okay. We don’t like buffets, and this experience confirmed our view. The whole area was messy and unappetizing. We lived in various places in Asia, and have visited China more than fifty times. We have eaten hot pot in various places in China, and never saw it served like this. Neither have we experienced such poor food quality. The waitress was very friendly, but she was the exception. The male waiters were unfriendly and uninterested. The meat quality was poor, especially the beef. The dumplings tasted strangely. We liked the induction cook top tables, but that didn’t make up for the poor food quality. Once you have added drinks (we had only water, soft drinks, and one beer) and some appetizers the cost is easily €40 or more per person. The interior is very spartan (which is an overstatement) and don’t look too closely in the fridges and freezers - they are not clean, and neiter are the areas where food is prepared, which you can see from the dining part of the restaurant. Oh, and don’t use the restrooms - they are absolutely disgusting. For €40 per person there are many far better options for Asian food in Hamburg.

Great place if you’re a fan of Hotpot. Each person would receive a small pot with broth of your choice. I’d recommend chicken broth, because it would go well with everything that you wanna put in your pot. There are extremely impressive choices for ingredients that you can cook with your hotpot, from vegetables, noodles to fish and meat. Highly recommend!

We ordered different meals and were dissatisfied with the taste of the food. We lived and worked in China and know how Asian food should taste and this was really not what we expected. We ate only few bites of the different dishes and asked for a refund. The owner of the restaurant talked very politely on the phone with us and after some discussion we paid for one soup and the drinks. So, instead of 55€ we paid 20€. The owner and the stuff were very friendly but still we would not give it a second try.

Love the hotpot here, it tastes so good just like in Asia. There are a lot of Chinese customers, shows the food is authentic Chinese hotpot. You get an individual hotpot and you fill up it your choice of food. Varieties of meat, seafood, vegetables, mushrooms and tofu. There are some fruits available too. The choice of ice cream looks like a cheap grade ice cream. Love their sauces bar, lots of selection. Service is slow, hard to get hold of service staff.

Authentic Hot pot from Hunnan. You need a reservation, and be on time. They won't take you before or after. They give a pot of brew to each person, all the tables have an electric heating to keep the brew boiling. There is an open buffet where you can get all the different raw food in your plate to take to your table. From tofu, vegetables, and Noodles, to pork, lamb, beef, mussels, shrimp, squid, etc. Once you are in your table you can boil it on the brew and eat it to your liking. The hot pot costs around 30 euro per person, plus drinks.

An Amazing Experience. In brief: Amazing food, table and work organisation and staff!! We wanted an Asian experience with home like food and we found it there. Great for family, friends or even solo!

Dined in with some coworkers. My sour spicy soup was not as spicy as I would have wanted but it was still delicious. I loved that I got brought a side of rice even though it was not in the buffet options. Really big variety of ingredients. Can‘t wait to visit again

We went yesterday for the first time to this restaurant and I’m in love with the food there, especially the duck was amazing! We will definitely come back a few times!

My first time dining here. • We booked the table beforehand and came on time. However, when we came in, nobody actually asked or even greeted us. We just stood there for 10 minutes waiting 😶😶 I understand that everyone has there own responsibilities to take care of but a simple "Hi, please wait for a bit and our host will come to take you inside" would be much better 🥲🥲 • There was no explanation on how to order the food or anything. We had to call a waitress to ask. She was also the positive highlight of our experience, really sweet and helpful. (She wore glasses and had ponytail) • Food was nice, but some of the name tags were in wrong place 😅 i know all the food so for me it's not really a big deal. Just my suggestion to fix them because it might confuse the other customers. Overall, not a bad experience. Keep up with the good work!

It was fun, was first time in such restaurant. But you need air conditioner, a powerful, not movable. If I am bad cook it can be not more than fan experience. So I would suggest at least offer a few receipts on a web site or on a paper. So I could cook something following instructions.

If you're a meat lover or even if you like sea food, this is a great place for you maybe. But not really recommended for vegetarians or the ones who do care about the Halal meat only. Anyways, besides the food options, the pricing is also not cheap, so again if you're a meat/sea-food lover, only then you should pay for their buffet. Service, staff, and the atmosphere is nice though.

Great hot pot restaurant with a large buffet selection and a really nice sauce station. Perfect for vegans too - there are lots of plant based ingredients and 2 vegan broths to choose from

The hot pot was amazing, definitely one of the nicest 'all you can eat' hot pot Buffets. Slightly annoyed that drinking water wasn't granted, I was confused that I was supposed to order it (buy it). But it didn't ruin the impression though

A big variety of food including raw and cooked food, fruits and desserts to choose from. To have a personal pot for myself is also something new for me and I think it's actually very practical. I guess it's worth the price, even though I think I would have loved it more if the price is slightly lower

Fast service and good taste, would recommend to reserve a place if you want to go for the hot pots since it's always busy.

As authentic Chinese hotspot can get. Truly needed this meal as an Asian living overseas for so long. Great variety of choices. Excellent mala soup base

For us, it was the first time at “Spice”. We came all the way from Berlin and celebrated my birthday here. The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. The owner was so polite, friendly and made sure that we enjoyed our evening and felt special for the day. :) Sure, it happened, when you ordered the food via QR code, that there were some misunderstandings( technology ;) ), but the staff always asked if we had everything we needed and made sure that we felt comfortable. I had a beautiful evening with my family and friends and would highly recommend “spice” to everyone that enjoys “hot pot”. Thanks for beautiful experience and next time I am in Hamburg, I’ll come visit again.

😠 What a beautiful view but what a horrible service. A rude incompetent server. We ordered 3 steaks and he didn’t even ask us how we would like it. All steaks came well done and dead. My mom ordered a simple salad with chicken. How can you mess that up? Wrong salad and wrong dressing. And the chicken...
