The Sam Paoli Pier in Hamburg is worth a visit because of its unique atmosphere, which combines historical heritage, cultural diversity and a modern spirit. Here you can enjoy beautiful views of the harbour and the city, taste the local cuisine and visit museums and exhibitions. The pier is also one of the most popular tourist spots in Hamburg, where there are always plenty of interesting events and activities.

St. Pauli Piers Landungsbrucken in German is the central part of Hamburg harbor. It is the place where many tour boats (bigger and smaller) depart for a harbor cruise which I strongly recommend. It is also the place where you can descend down and walk the Elbe underground tunnel to the other side. Beside these, there's a nice modern walkway along the harbor leading to Speicherstadt (Warehouse district) and Elbephilharmonie. You pass many yachts, historic vessels and have great views of entire area. Several bar options along it to have a drink. Enjoy your time

Must go place during your visit to Hamburg. Absolutely the best place to watch the sunset, have a beautiful refreshing walk around and eat the sea food in one of the many restaurants around. It is easily accessible with the public transport and a direct U-bahn is available from Bahnhof Süd. Absolutely the perfect place to find a harbor cruise or a boat ride in the famous Spicherstadt. You can get the boat or cruise tickets from numerous companies between bridge 1 -6, sometimes they offer combined ticket which includes the visit to Hamburg dungeon. It is always bustling with people and has a cool vibe all around. Do not forget to sit and eat (fish) or drink a bier in one of the many restaurants here as you will on be admiring the Hafen city.

Iconic place to visit in Hamburg. It is the city's red light district. It can feel a bit sketchy if you go into the smaller streets, but the main street had a lot of fun bars and food trucks to have a drink outside.

I arrived Friday night. It was very fun entertaining experience. There were so many street food and kiosks and music. People got together and had beer, dancing and waiting for sunset.

Landungsbruecken, landing bridges are the jumping off point to the Hamburg waterside. These water/harbor access points let people take advantage of tourist attractions, boat rides, industry and harbor activities. The bridges are numbered and correlate to maps and brochures. This is how you find your boat tour or harbor restaurant, etc.

It is a beautiful place near Elbe river. There are a lot of ships and boat which you can take from here to other points of the city. If you have HVV ticket you can take a ship from here for free. I strongly recommend you to do that. Here I upload a video which i took while I was in the ship which I mentioned. I also recommend to be there in the evening to see the beauty of sunset!

Pretty cool location and sort of a must-see for tourists. On the one side one can see the lovely Elbphilharmonie, as well as some of the classic boats like the Cap San Diego and on the other side are the musical areas as well as the industrial harbor. And just behind, towards the city center there is the wonderful Portuguese quarter, with fantastic Portuguese, Spanish and Brazilian restaurants.

(Translated by Google) A heartfelt thank you. Our favorite point of contact again and again in three days. Hard but warm - that seems to be the motto here. Simply good: morale, food and especially the friendliness. The view and the ambience speak for themselves anyway. We'll be back soon. Three people from Munich in Hamburg! (Original) Lieben Dank. In drei Tagen immer wieder unsere liebste Anlaufstelle. Hart aber herzlich - das scheint hier das Motto. Einfach gut: Moral, Essen und insbesondere die Freundlichkeit. Der Ausblick und das Ambiente sprechen ohnehin für sich. Wir kommen bald wieder. Drei Münchner in Hamburg!

This bridge itself is just a bridge with the overhead view of the road the tram and train station. But the best part is to climb up the hill above the bridge to have full view of harbour. The time visited (march 2022) the staircase to go up the hill was closed, but people still went up there one way or the other (me too). Sunset time is just so spectacular from above. You can have all the walk way at the harbour and all the food shops on the otherside of the bridge. 4 stars because there was no cleanliness on the hill. Though a must visit place.

It is so nice place to visit but I suggest that you need to wear some warm clothes because it is really windy. The fish Brötchen is really yummy. You shouldn't miss it.

A must-see if you are in Hamburg. Yes, it is always busy but you would miss a big part of Hamburg’s soul by not seeing the harbour and its historic ships and docks. Food and drinks, street music, and short tip: there are ferries that are “normal” ferry lines and can be used with your HVV (local transport lines) tickets. You can have amazing evening sights from the ferry along the Elbe.

(Translated by Google) simply a really great location - especially at sunset. And now, after Corona, the "old life" is finally closed. mostly back again, with various stalls from the cathedral on the adjacent Elbe promenade - and the Luisiana Star just looks great in the blue!

Wonderful place to have a nice walk and enjoy the sunset or sunrise. You should definitely come here if you want to get some fresh air, relax after a hard working day and to have good times with friends and family. 😊 Maybe also have a beer or enjoy the local music artists that sometime have a really humorous touch and make the crowd laugh 🙏🏼

A great place along the Elbe river for a walk, with beautiful views of the river, multiple ships (old and new), cargo ships, port cranes. Although it's a very popular tourist place and it's always crowded.

(Translated by Google) A wonderful place in Hamburg. A must for every visit to Hamburg. Very easy to reach by public transport. However, I think there are too many souvenir shops. From there the boats leave for the harbor tour. These are also highly recommended. The harbor tours are very funny for some. (Original) Ein herrlicher Fleck in Hamburg.

If you go to the Fischmarkt (sunday mornings 05.00 to 09.30) or go for a sight seeing boat trip which start from the Landungsbrücken (every day form 09.30 / 10.00 aclock) you will find lots to do and see in the area and the Reeperbahn is about ten minute walk away.

Food was okay but service was poor and not very friendly. When I asked for the bill they just read out the amount and said it was cash only when I asked to pay by card. Just as I had paid they turned to the table next to me and offered them a card machine inside. I’m not a fluent German speaker and would definitely recommend any tourists thinking of visiting to be careful about getting ripped off.

The salmon was so dry (i can't believe one can make salmon so wrong 😂), the potato was so hard cooked. My husband's rack of lamb had almost no taste. And the waiter was not polite.

Interesting to visit, walk around, full of cheap looking snack places, half of them closed on a Monday night, not surprisingly. We enjoyed it nonetheless.

Poor, unfriendly service, unless you’re a German. Told us it was cash only even though we saw them let German customers pay.

Historic St Pauli Port of Hamburg. Lots going on here. We took a boat to see a musical. Had Backfisch, curry wurst and bier from one of the many food booths which was quite good. It was cool weather in the spring and not so busy, but I bet it's packed in summer. Only spent one night in Hamburg, but can't wait to come back and explore more.

😠 What a beautiful view but what a horrible service. A rude incompetent server. We ordered 3 steaks and he didn’t even ask us how we would like it. All steaks came well done and dead. 😠 Horrible attitude from the waiter. Bossy, confrontational, and don't care for their clients. It is ridiculous that you need to wait for the rest of the table to finish their salad to be able to get the meat that is constantly passing by. The meat was ok, but nothing amazing, often too raw.
