👍 Or was a unique experience walking 450meters under the sea level in the tunnel originally constructed in 1911😍. Going up and down in such huge lifts is cool😇. The view of the port on Elbe on the other side of the tunnel is just wow. 😘 People often mention view, tunnel, Elbe, Hamburg,

The best place to the get the most amazing view and experience of the Old Elbe Tunnel. German technology at its beautiful best since 1911. Free entry. Great concept for walking and cycling incorporated.

The better part of visiting the Alte Elb tunnel. There is food, beverage, places to sit and enjoy the view of Elbe and Hamburg.

An impressive place to go to see Hamburg, couldn’t see much due to the snow but it still looked beautiful and was a really enjoyable experience! Highly recommend if you are visiting Hamburg

Is an interesting visit, after the tunel you have the view from the other side of the Elbe river. I recomend doing it during spring or summer though. It can be quite windy

What a great view of the city. It's next to the exit of the Elben tunnel. You can have a baverage or snack from one of the two sellers here. Being there with my friend during last Eastern. We've met local fellow here and we chat a little about living in this city. It was definitely the best piece of the Hamburg taste.

Cool view of the Riverside, worth the walk through the tunnel which is good enough to visit by itself anyway.

A bit crowded, but it was mid-day, so expected. Open 24hrs for pedestrians so if you want to see it empty go at 04.00hrs. Still... spectacular turn of the (last) century engineering. Currently under refurbishment.

Nice place to get a good view of the harbour, very close to the Elbtunnel. Go there when the weather is clear.

Alter Elbtunnel - Underwater tunnel of around 1.2 km which starts from Landesbrucken and connects us with the other side of the Hamburg city (don't know the name of other side!)

Near the exit from the underground tunnel, a wonderful view of the city and the river

The highlight of this trip is not the viewpoint but the tunnel itself. The viewpoint to Elbe tiver has great scenery though. This reminds me to Bosphorus in Istanbul, similar view but Elbe river connected to the port which have more bigger ships and cruises. I think the port is the one connected to Stavanger and Bergen.

👍👍 Nice vantage point with a great view of the Landungsbrücken and the Elbphilharmonie! In the summer you can certainly have a good time here on the benches one platform lower! If you want to look a little further, you can use binoculars for money, but in my opinion it's absolutely not necessary!
