Pass your turn and save money!! ⚠️ This hotel « Eco hotel luxury » was the worst hotel ever. It not value the price for the services and accommodations. In the bedroom, is just the minimum (no chairs no miroir and no carpet for the sand). The first day our bed table was broken because it was too humid because the sea, the last day they asked to pay for it…. 150,000 cops… A random guy among the staff pretended to be the manager but he wasn't... he decided to locked the door of the storage (our luggages was inside) stupid action… from a stupid guy Isn’t a luxury hotel, the bathroom was outside the bedroom, we were luckies because we’re 4 we didn’t share the bathroom but for the others bedroom for 2 they shoulded to share it. It wasn’t mentioned clearly on the website. About the services the breakfast took more than 1 hour to arrived with a small quantity and bad quality, also you can only have it between 7am & 8am. So you wake up at 7:30 a.m. so as not to miss breakfast and in the end you wait 1h30….

Communication leading up to our trip was excellent. We arrived at the pier 45 min ahead of time, as we were told. However, we were put on the third boat to leave. They seemed to take mostly day trippers ahead of us. The most frustrating part was that my friend was terribly sick in the unbearable heat. I asked if we could please get on the next boat as she was sick and they said no. Over thirty people who arrived after us left before us. Then, we arrived at the hotel. We could hear the music before docking. Once we were at registration we could barely hear the person as the music was so loud. We had been told we would be accommodated if we alerted them to what time we would arrive. But upon arrival, they said we wouldn’t be able to check in for another four hours. I again explained that my friend was very sick and we needed to get into an air conditioned room to rest. They told us to rest on the beach. We asked if she could get a banana and they said no. It took over 30 minutes to get towels. I thought maybe the water would at least be nice. No, it was not. There were speed boats everywhere, the sand was rocky, and it was painful walking into the ocean. We then decided to find another place. We wanted a relaxing experience and a place that could at least get us a banana and this definitely wasn’t it.

Went for lunch to see if it would be a nice place to stay on our next visit to the island. Our way to the restaurant was blocked by one of the employees. He said we couldn't eat there and sent us to a restaurant next door. He probably did us a favor. Went to Majagua a few doors down and had an excellent lunch. Very good there. Polite service for about the same price as the sketchy place they tried to send us to.

This review is for those staying overnight We got the luxury room with air conditioning. Air conditioning is a must if you're staying overnight. Not kidding, it is very very important We spent 4 full days there because we like to just lounge around and swim and nap with no responsibility. If you want dense action go for 1 or 2 days María and Esteban were very helpful and kind to us the entire trip. You order breakfast between 7:30 and 8:30 and get it shortly after ordering You order lunch between 12 and 2 and get it shortly after ordering You order dinner between 6 and 7:30 ish and it's usually served at 8 The wifi is really bad, bring a book or something for the chill hours The place is a party filled with music and people during the day. At night there is nearly nobody there and it's very quiet, but the staff will manage to find you for dinner. We really liked this balance; we don't mind music and people nor a tranquil private island, so it felt unique The town is out the back of the resort and to the right. It's a short walk on a trail. Buy yourself the biggest jug of water you can carry back There are no shortage of opportunities to find tours for the mangroves, snorkeling, night snorkeling with light up plankton, and other souvenirs drinks n stuff. They'll find you. The water got dirty around Thursday morning from tourist litter but I think they clean it either Friday morning or evening and it's back to stellar. 4/5 for cleanliness You need bug repellent and sunscreen

We did the day pass to the island. The service was reañly good. Their beach is beautiful. We really enjoyed ourselves. Edited to say that we did NOT stay at this hotel. We bought a DAY PASS, therefote this review is only to describe the day pass experience and NOT the Hotel.

“Luxury” in the name is probably the biggest irony of all There’s absolutely nothing luxurious about this place, we’re closer to a camping experience than anything else The toilets are outside the room, at the same place as the breakfast space Talking about the breakfast it was absolutely disgusting, I didn’t know it was possible to mess up eggs. I hope you’re not too hungry in the morning cause the portions are ridiculously small The bedroom itself is basically four walls and a bed there is nothing else, I feel like a prison cell would be more furnished and less humid No resemblance to the pictures Everyday you’ll get about ~100 people coming at the beach club for the day which is the only reason why this place has a good rating (that or they’re fake reviews), the sea is dirty and the place noisy Service is extremely poor and the staff is unpleasant I honestly almost never leave bad reviews but this has to be the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had Also what is “eco” about this place? Everything is plastic and super cheap Best part of our stay there was leaving this place

"Luxury" in the name is A VERY BIG name FOR THIS PLACE. There is nothing luxurious. The service is extremely poor and the staff is unfriendly. WE WENT WITH THE PASS DAY AND THIS INCLUDED an open bar BUT YOU COULD NOT ORDER 2 DRINKS AT THE SAME TIME, Which for them meant in practice that FOR EXAMPLE YOU COULD NOT ORDER A BEER AND WATER, BECAUSE THAT COUNTED AS 2 drinks. Also, the drinks were undrinkable, they had a strange taste, so we opted only for beers. Lunch was terrible, it was cold and the rice dishes were inedible. In addition, there were sellers of things and services but when they sell you the day pass they tell you that it is a private club. The sellers came all the time to sell things and were very insistent.

I wanted to book for coming nights, came by boat, guy of the restaurant send me away. Tried to explain that I wanted to book for the coming nights. He did not want to help or explain where the reception was, just send me away, tried to explain him twice. Wasn’t his day I guess. This person should stop working in hospitality, had no patience. Did not even want to send me to reception.

The owner’s staff seemed like they where catering to his friends and family to a point where we felt like we were intruding on a personal family vacation. Air con doesn’t work it was very hot in the rooms. Pretty cool location. If I’d come again I’d stay at the hostel on the other side of the island for a fraction of the price.

Absolutely nothing "luxurious" about this hotel. Scammy place which charges additional fees to consume your overpriced cocktail on anywhere other than the ground or while standing. Large waves of unknowing tourists are dropped here as they partner up with the touring companies with access to the island. Amenities are subpar, staff is unfriendly and they attempt to bribe you with a free subpar cocktail if you give a five star review. No thanks. [EDIT] Hilarious how the owners of the establishment are apparently "trying to contact me" and there are no "records" of my stay there. A veiled attempt to discredit my review. Please do not be fooled, the other one-star reviews on this accomodation are not wrong. Come to the island on your own accord and don't stay here. This is a rip-off.

This place is simply way too expensive. Paid about 450$ juste for three nights, and the politics of this hotel are ridiculous… During the day, they have day-trips coming in on the beach from 9 to 3pm. As a person actually staying at the hotel, you get less the these people that come on a day trip. The first day we asked for a cocktail menu and the waiter said they had none, then the last day we found out they had a cocktail menu because someone that was staying there just for a day trip told us. The food is ok, they tell you not to eat anywhere else on the island but some other hotels have very nkce restaurants with nice plates for half the price. They have no drinkable water on the island yet they only sell you 300mL bottle for 6000 when a restaurant near by sells his 1L bottles 3000… Everytime someone writes a bad comment, the company answers saying they are 40km away from land… We visited other hotels for half the price and they had a lot of things this hotel doesnt. Btw the water is a lot better on the other side of the island, it is crystal clear. Here are a few other things that make me never wanna come back here: 1. The first night they tried to make us pay twice the sane bill. 2. One of the staff members offered my boyfriend cigarettes for 20000 (10 cigarios) cause he was going to run out instead of just letting us know there was a market on the island that sold them for way cheaper.. 3. The last day we were waiting for the boat to leave, we decided to sit on the beach and the next thing you know the staffs tells us we cannot sit on the hotel chairs on the beach cause they’re reserved for the daily guests?… 4. When the daily guests leave (3pm), the atmosphere changes from party to abandonned place! they run out of a few things so not much left for the guests that sleep there. One staff member was just sleeping on the beach beds? 5. First night we had supper, they had no place to sit us to eat? They had one table and the other guests took it so they winged us a table between two room doors… 6. Breakfast is from 7:30-8:30… no possible way to sleep in, and no choices, same thing every day. 7. A few things in the room were fallong apart. The bathroom door wasn’t sliding shut, the patio doors didnt lock and we were ground level? The bed board fell if you just touched lt with your head while sleeping… I understand that these kind of things happen, that nothing is perfect but please, if you charge 150$ CAD a night, make it worth it. Or just bring your price down. We literally felt like we’ve been robbed. A big thank you anyway to Diego who « saved the night » by trying to make our stay good even though all of the bad things that happened
