We were very happy with this beautiful place. Secure, clean with friendly staff. We had a large room with good size bed, lots of storage space. Nice bathroom with lots of hot water. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Posada Los Bucanos in Antigua A charming place that has an authentic Spanish / Guatemalan / Central American feel. Walking along the cobblestone streets with the buildings built right alongside the footpath, Posada is discreetly hidden and only found it because of the red tile at the door, which I then later saw the name of the hotel. You walk into a stunning courtyard that has an abundance of trees, shrubs and flowering plants. The rooms surround the courtyard both on the ground floor and first floor. My room had a double bed with a mosquito net, tv, good wifi and a simple bathroom. Coffee and water are available near reception. Grab a cuppa and sit in one of the many alcoves that can be found here. The seats are covered in bright fabric and are inviting you to relax. I had two different rooms due to visiting San Juan La Laguna for two nights. Both rooms were clean and beds were comfy. An overhead fan would be nice in those warm days / nights. This place is often a meeting point for Intrepid Travel and G Adventures so there are groups coming and going. Overall, a beautiful place to stay not far from the main Plaza. #intrepidtravel #bestofcentralamerica @intrepidtravel

I am currently staying at this hotel. There are wires just hanging down in my shower, the window had no curtain and the bed feels like a brick box. Please avoid this hotel!!!

I’ve been here on 4-5 different occasions and enjoyed every stay. It’s in walking distance to the main strip by the arch. Beds are comfy, bathrooms are clean, and the overall ambiance of the hotel is just amazing. There’s always some sort of fountain running during the day, at night they shut it off. There’s a courtyard on both sides of the hotel. Breakfast is pretty simple, but delicious. There’s no A/c in the rooms, but that’s because it gets pretty chilly at night. I just open the windows and crack the door open to allow the air to flow through. WiFi works best in the courtyards. Which, is where I like to hang out while listening the the fountain run . WiFi Can be spotty in the rooms.

I have stayed here MANY times but never left a review. Clean hotel, reasonably priced. The staff is friendly. Bathrooms are small. Beds are good. A great place to throw your luggage when you explore the city. I’ll be back.

Super short distance away from the centre of Antigua. One of my most memorable stays in a hotel. I got the best room IMO, which had a balcony. I can see the volcano from afar. The wifi also worked great. Ps. the turtles were so cute!

No A/c cheap place for a cheap stay, great service but not very convenient.

Decent hotel close to the centre. Courtyard is nice to sit in and staff friendly. Small room - struggled to open the bathroom door. Could do with a fan as it got a bit warm, but noisy outside with the window open in the morning.

We were here with an Intrepid tour and had a great stay. The staff were friendly, the rooms were clean and the courtyard was quaint. They have a water cooler which is always good to have!

This is such a perfect spot. When you come from a foreign country, sometimes you feel a little nervous but at Hotel Posada Los Bucaros, we felt safe and very well looked after. Rooms have amazing little touches and everything is clean. It was pretty cool staying in a hotel with so much history! We will be back.

A good little hotel, however we were in room 2 which is basically in reception and were awoken by departing and arriving guests from as early as 4am. Staff were lovely.

Welcome drink was delicious, staff is very friendly! Coffee and water always available which is a bonus! Cute rooms and common areas. Our bed and pillows werent that comfortable (my opinion, very very firm), but enjoyed our stay for one night.
