We had our anniversary dinner at Vaca Negra last week and I must say that we enjoyed it. The staffs are friendly and very thoughtful as they gave us free dessert to celebrate. We had good a good time. The bife de lomo (tenderloin) was tasty, as well as the costillar de cordero (lamb). The serving of the lamb was generous.

I had a phenomenal dinner to celebrate my birthday, and was blown away by the experience! I will definitely be returning. From the moment we arrived, the staff went out of their way to make the evening special. I got an opportunity to tour the kitchen and speak with their head chef, Cor Dekker. It was abundantly clear, even just through friendly conversation, that Cor really knows his craft. He runs a meticulous kitchen, and I was particularly impressed with his knowledge on the very subtle differences between a T-Bone and a Porterhouse steak. When the food arrived, my expectations were already sky-high. And yet, still they were exceeded! The meat was exceptionally flavorful, perfectly tender, and gorgeously presented. My dinner consisted of a selection of their finest meats, and the way it was prepared really emphasized the unique characteristics of each of the cuts. To round it out, I enjoyed a slice of their housemade cake for dessert. By the time everything was finished, I was thoroughly stuffed and very happy. Truly delightful eating experience!

During the dinner I had the opportunity to observe the work in the kitchen. It was not the Devil's Kitchen, but a group of chefs who knew exactly what to do and when to do it. Watching you guys was pure pleasure. But the result of your work, it was an immense pleasure and a paradise for the palate. Simply poetry. On top of that, the group of waiters who catered to every request shows that you are a really tight-knit company. If I am ever in Zwolle, I will definitely visit you.

Probably one of the best steaks I've ever had and I've had A LOT 🙂. We both got the t-bone, soaked it in garlic butter and sprinkled on some extra seasoning you get at the table. The waiter was awesome, he gave us lots of tips on how to eat it and what went well with it, a true professional. The dessert was incredible as well, we got the dulce de leche. Would immediately come back here any time.

The meat is amazing, juicy and tender, served with chimichurri. Brings back the memory of my vacation in Argentina. The waiter is very friendly, and gives good suggestions on meat and wine.

One word: WOW! The food was perfect, the place & atmosphere was perfect. The staff was perfect. Everything about this place is how you would like a restaurant to be and present itself. It's pricey but you are paying for top quality at Vaca Negra and it's worth every penny. I will tell everybody about this place. See you next time!

This is an awesome place for some good meat dishes. The mixed grill was really nice and de meat was extremely tender. The meat was not that hot, but it was just good enough.

We ordered dry age steak for 2 with some sides. Steak quality is average. It is a bit dry and not flavourful as expected. As a steak lover, this is disappointing since we expected more when the price is competitive but in terms of portion size, it is good.

I visited here for the first time in January this year and I was very satisfied at the time, so I visited here for the second time and ordered the same menu I ordered in January. The result was very disappointing. The first picture is the sirloin steak that I ate in January. The second picture is the steak I received when I visited this time. Because of the fascia in the middle, the meat was very tough and the left and right meat was not cooked evenly. The employee who I asked for the smoke salt did not return until the calculation was completed. For your information, it was my birthday. Sad to lose my favorite steakhouse in Zwolle. Thank you for giving me an unforgettable birthday dinner.

Nice place in Zwolle for a good steak. Cooked really well to the level we've asked for. Nice variety of sauces and side dishes. The staff is nice, but it was a bit crowded so we had to wait a bit to order and pay at the end.

Drove all the way from Groningen only for these amazing steaks. The staff was friendly, food delicious and prices reasonable. I definitely recommend getting the larger version of the steak, though because smaller ones don’t really make a dinner. Included in the dinner was bread with a handmade garlic butter. IT WAS INSANELY GOOD! Definitely recommend this place for a date, business meeting or a casual night out with friends.

Really friendly staff, the waiting times are short and the food portions are massive, which is a big positive. And the food tastes amazing. Definitely worth it!!

Its a good steakhouse. It tries to be fancier than it is. They have a nice looking place and their menu is typically what you expect. The prices are pretty high compared to other steakhouses (i have been to)

We had an amazing experience at Vaca Negra last Friday. ☺️ My husband and I brought our dog along, and we were delighted to find out that the restaurant is pet-friendly. 🐶 From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with exceptional kindness and a welcoming attitude from our host, Bas. He made us feel at home and was very attentive, going above and beyond to make our dining experience unforgettable. The food was outstanding, and we have to give kudos to the chef. I ordered the mix grill, and my husband had the cote de boeuf, both dishes were delicious and well-made. The whole team was very attentive, kind, and helpful all the time, making sure that we had everything we needed. What I loved the most about this restaurant is that they made sure that our dog was well taken care of. She got some water and even some food at the end, which was a nice touch. It's always great to see that a restaurant is pet-friendly and genuinely cares about the well-being of its customers' furry friends. Overall, we had a fantastic experience at Vaca Negra, and we are already looking forward to coming back soon. The exceptional service, delicious food, and pet-friendly atmosphere make it a restaurant that we would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great dining experience. We had the Picanha and the Lomo. Perfectly grilled, portions were just right and the staff were amazing. Very kind and regularly checked up on us. The only thing that bothered us a bit was the fact that we felt a little breeze which made it a bit cold at times. Other than that, would recommend. 10/10 :-)

One word: amazing! When entering the restaurant your are immediately greated with a cosy, warm environment. As starter we had some bread. This bread was warm, nice and crunchy and delicious that together with the butter that was served with it, made a perfect combination. After the bread me and my girlfriend both had the mixed grill, with some fries. The mixed grill was oh so perfect and the fries were just delicious. Not just any kind of fries but like the really good ones. We booth had a great time and a very well prepared meal. Definitively 5 stars.

The food was amazing and served on a timely manner. Great ambiance and relaxing scene overall. The waitresses were really friendly and attentive.

I will start off with the food. It was really great. Everything we orderd was a bit above expectation. (We expected it to be a good place to eat) To continue about our server, first we thought our server to be strict and throw us out if we made a song wine choice. So we played it smart and asked what wine he recommends. He seemed delighted and came back with 3 wines. This changed the whole experience for us. He was telling us about het wines and we ended up tasting an taking the Monte's select. It was his personal favourite he said. I can say it was a very good wine from Chilli, very rich taste, I could taste all 4 kinds of grape in a wonderful way. So our strict looking guy became a wonderful server who was doing his work really well. He was so alert he even came because I looked at him when I was looking through the restaurant. We really had a wonderful experience!

Yesterday was the first day for restaurants to reopen and it was a bank holiday. Surprisingly though the terasse was completely empty at lunchtime even though it was a glorious sunny day. You'd think they would therefore be very accomodating to their only customer at that time. I understand that their lunch menu had to be small, it is difficult to restock and predict how many people you'd serve on that day and the burger that was the most expensive thing on the menu was indeed gigantic so the price was correct. However, if they wanted a good review to attract customers, I'm afraid I'll have to disappoint. It's s all in the details but still I left feeling something had gone wrong with that whole experience. We are invited to sit down not having been asked if we had any symptoms. We then order drinks and that took a while to come. I was given the choice between a cola light and a cola zero, I chose light, I got a cola zero, no explantions..Then we order our food and again that took a while and even though I like the fact that they gave us the medium option for the burger and the wait generally reflects the freshness of the cooking. BUT we were, again, the only customers there. I then was asked if I wanted anything else, I asked for mustard, to my surprise and WITHOUT any prewarning they charged us for the mustard with a 'mayo' option written on the bill (1.5 euros if I remember, some pricey mustard and this was not even written on the menu). All in all I cannot recommend this place.

The food was delicious. If you love meat you will love this place. There was some mistake with our order so we waited quite a while (but that is not the case usually I guess). They did handle the situation professionally and apologized and offered some free drinks. It was worth the wait.

Pro: The meat was amazing, the service personal kind and attentive, awesome dessert, clean bathroom, nice atmosphere, tapwater for free, good price-quality ratio (for NL anyways) Contra: In a steakhouse of this quality and price range, I would expect a fresh grilled corn cob and not the precooked ones you can also buy in the supermarket - especially for 4 Euro!

Best steakhouse every tried back in 2018 summer. I miss the food so much.... Mixed Grill is fantastic and the portion is large for an Asian like me.

There is a reason why it's always busy in this place. Delicious food. Recommend the Picanha and ofcourse the lobster. Maybe good to make this a surf and turf option on the menu 😁

We celebrated my brother's graduation here. Amazing food, great service. (Especially the meat was very high quality and cooked perfectly) The staff was extremely friendly and professional.
