I’ve heard so much about this place over the years, I was so excited to try it. The atmosphere is so sweet. It’s a pity the restaurant is so disappointing. I ordered a sandwich. It came on a dry and stale baguette. The salad was advertised to come with a local maple dressing but it came with just plain vinegar (no oil, just a side bowl of vinegar). My partner ordered a pulled pork sandwich. Again, stale bread and I don’t even know how pulled pork could become so dry, I could only guess it had been sitting around for quite a while. It was a Friday evening. I felt badly for the server because she was obviously overwhelmed with the three tables she was serving. She was the only one working! She was making the food, taking the orders and cleaning the tables. This place has so much potential. I hope someone capable buys it and turns it around.

If you are out cruzing the Albert County backroads either on a sled, ATV, motorcycle, or car the Elgin Kitchen is a great stop for a drink and a bite to eat.

Stopped in here for a snack break. Had delicious carrot muffins hot out of the oven along with a great cup of tea. Service was friendly and quick. Lots to look at, there's even a room with yard sale items!

Nice country restaurant / store, reasonable prices, local meat and red seal chef. I definitely would go back.

Great little spot to get something for lunch. The building was warm, though we were impressed by the young staff and how good of a job they did. BBQ pulled pork sandwich was very good.

Had stopped here several times to buy from the convenience store, but this time I actually stayed for the food. And what a nice surprise! We had delicious turkey and corn chowder and an unbelievably good poutine with great dark beef gravy. We even took home a slice of cheesecake and it was great!

Never disappointed. We discovered this little gem four or five years ago purely by accident. Now we make yearly pilgrimages whenever we are camping in Fundy. Everything very tasty and well worth the reasonable prices. Shirley is the best person to shoot the breeze with too if she isn't hopping from tables and kitchen.

Cute little general store and restaurant. Funky decor and really friendly people. They smoke all of their meat and local source all that they can.

I grew up when this building was a country store and they have kept the atmosphere of a country building when you walk in. The look is welcoming and makes you feel like you're coming home. I fully recommend the fish and chips as it was delicious. Great food and atmosphere. A place that makes you feel like you're home.

Very cozy country style store with dinne inn. Ordered a beef brisket poutine. Did not disappoint! Fast and friendly service. Prices are average range canteen style menu with local products. Would recommend the stop if driving through.
