This place just opened, I went in and they were very friendly. I tried calling before I went in to place my order ahead of time so I could just pick up, but they don't have a phone number on their website, so I had to go in and wait about 15 minutes for my food. I got the jerk chicken meal which comes with rice and two sides- I got yams and mac and cheese. Everything was tasty, the jerk seasoning wasn't too spicy but had a kick to it. I feel like they could've given me a little more yams and mac and cheese since it wasn't a cheap meal. There is a limited amount of seating, but enough for a small group, not large groups. I would definitely recommend and go back again.

Omg. THIS IS THE BEST JERK SPOT FRFR. I had the 1/2 chicken white and it was nice and tender, with mac and cheese and yams 🤤. The waiter/server was really nice, service with a smile. Update 2024 I was not disappointed at all. Me and my significant other purchased Jerk Shrimp dinner and The Rasta Pasta and it was delicious. The Rasta Pasta with shrimp and chicken which was definitely hitting the portion was great it took me 2 days to each it. The chicken was kinda dry and hard but we did order during closing hours. But the Shrimp 🍤 was prepared perfectly....

Jerk Egg roll- 1 ⭐ really need to redo it. It was bland didnt feel a hint of jerk Sides we have: Rice and peas - ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ lacked flavor gravy was nice add to it Cabbage- ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ prefer a little crunch and would like to see more flavor as well Yams- ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ best side dish no complaints Oxtails- ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ nice in size,plentiful and very tender. However the seasoning was really lacking couldn't eat the bigger ones because of the taste Overall would love to see more seasonings being used in each dish to bring more flavor. Recommend you try and leave a review for this new restaurant. Will be back to try the jerk chicken

1/4 chicken season just right the jerk sauce tho idk maybe add a little sugar to it to balance out that salt idk 5th has it down to a T the chicken curry no complaints the cabbage definitely want more crunch don’t cook it so long but flavor is there! Macaroni no complaints it’s 🔥 overall 4.5 will be coming back!

This review is hard to make, and I should have taken pics because my food looked nothing like the pics on other reviews. On 2/3/24, after receiving bad customer service by that other jamaican restaurant, I decided to give this place a try. Nice atmosphere, clean, updated restaurant. However, my food was "mid". I was so disappointed. My sides were lacking. The yams were not fresh, dry, and tasted like they were a day or two old. They also tasted like they were sprinkled with nutmeg or clove. I don't know, they did not taste right. I didn't eat them. The cabbage didn't seem fresh either they were stiff, dry, and not right. My sides were not hot. The rice is literally just covering the bottom of the carton it's like 5 tablespoons of peas and rice. I was scrapping it off the bottom of the carton. Then my chicken was piled on top. Then when you remove the chicken you are like " this is all the beans and rice you get"?. Now the chicken was hot, it seemed to be fresh, I like the char it had and the season was decent. It was the dinner portion. The sauce is different, but I like the kick it had. So I don't know, for 20 plus dollars the quality and quantity of the sides was off. My word to restaurants is to make your food consistently with love. Plate your food consistently with love. Something told me to check it before I left, but I said I'll just wait til I get home. I would have definitely taken that back in. I will give them another chance because I like the chicken and the rice tasted good but you barely get any.

Me & my husband tried chicken rasta pasta today 2/4/24 we are picky ppl !The pasta didnt make it out the parking lot with us!WHEN I TELL YOU THIS PASTA WAS SO GOOD! PLEASE TRY THIS PLACE FOR YOURSELF !!! The lady in there which i think is the owner was very nice as well!!

Food was honestly amazing! Very good chicken, cabbage, and mac & cheese. Everyone inside was very nice even though I ordered close to closing! Very good food will definitely be returning!

5⭐️ Review- My family & I enjoyed this wonderful feast from JG’s Jerk Grill. They are black owned, and the first Caribbean Restaurant in Hillside,IL. I got a chance to meet the owner, and they were amazing.The atmosphere was immaculate, customer service was superb. I definitely will be back, variety of food options as well as some vegan options. Food was delicious and spoke to my soul, I can tell everything was made fresh to order & prepared with love. Happy to have something new in the neighborhood. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend stopping by.

This. This restaurant is exactly what my soul needed: great food, excellent service, and a calm and peaceful space. I had the jerk chicken meal with rice and peas, cabbage, and candied yams. The jerk chicken was spicy and well-prepared. The cabbage was very well seasoned and delicious. The rice and peas and yams were also exceptional. I also had the jerk egg rolls and can attest that they are sold in 3s because you can’t eat just one. The real proof that this food was made with love was that I felt just as good eating the meal as I did after it. The pound cake tasted like a family member made it - you know, with REAL butter. The oxtails were the best I’ve ever had: spicy, saucy, and prepared to perfection. Jerk Grill checks all the boxes. I will be back and will bring friends!

Everything was amazing, vibe and mainly food. I ordered white jerk chicken w/ Mac & cheese and cabbage, baby that amazing my fiancé had jumbo jerk shrimp w/ double cabbage he cleaned his plate so you know that was amazing too. U will see us again, I may get shrimp next. I highly recommend!

The service, food, and vibe in the establishment was picture perfect. I was greeted with one of the most amazing smiles. I recommend the Jerk chicken, mac&cheese, and cabbage dinner. Cannot wait to try the Jerk taco and salad.

So I finally tried the food there, I had chicken wings , Cabbage , rice and peas, and yams. All the flavoring was good..except eggroll was a bit bland and the wings were to small for my liking. I don't like huge wings and definitely not tiny ones that look like hen or something, I took a piece of a wing..the flavor was really good but I didn't eat any more because I don't eat wings that small makes me think I'm eating something else other than a chicken a hen or something else perhaps. For others that may be fine but not for me. But they are very nice, place very clean and great aura inside. I definitely wish well in their business!! I probably try chicken breast next!

First timer here! Chicken, rice & peas, cabbage, and yams were fresh, but a little too heavy with the salt for my taste. Nonetheless still impressed & glad to have them in the area! Kudos to the owner & the team on the handling of some customers....way to protect women!

JG's Jerk Grill is delightful. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The owner greets you warmly and prepares your order quickly. I ordered oxtails with sweet potatoes and Mac. It was delicious.I took my order home to have for Sunday dinner but I could not resist eating two of them as soon as I got home. Melt in your mouth tender! I love the food.
