What a pleasant drive thru experience. When I pulled up to order the menu sign was bright and easy to find what I was looking to order. They have multiple windows and drive up spaces to help speed up the process. I could clearly understand the person taking my order and the outside of the building looked well maintained. My order was made exactly how I placed it and tasted great. Appreciate the work of everyone and suggest you stop by if in the area.

From Colorado, we make a trip to Chicago every couple of years to visit family. My husband looks forward to the places that remind him of where his grandfather and uncle would take him. This time, he tried something new for us. I'm so glad that we did. Great food, wonderful, friendly service, and a clean, bright environment. My husband loved the meat and had so much flavor and taste with wonderful spice. I tried the Buona Beef Bites, and they were amazing!!! The even better thing is that we can have sandwich kits delivered to us in Colorado.

I had a doctor's appointment right up the street so I stopped at this location. One of the things I ordered was the chicken avocado protein bowl. I opened it and the avocado already had black marks on it like it was already going bad. I know avocado turn somewhat quickly but I was only 10 minutes from my mom's house. It should not have had all those black marks on it so fast. I started to eat and was crunching on something. I ignored the first crunch (there shouldn't be a crunch). I took another bite and it was more crunch/grit than the first bite. It was very gritty like. I started emptying the bowl in a plate to the side to see if I could see anything and came across what looked like dirt (muddy looking). I was totally grossed out and threw it out. If you enlarge the second picture you can see what I'm talking about. I'm not sure if I should stop going to Buona restaurants or just not go to that location again. 🤔 I gave it 2 stars because my mother said her food (beef and pizza) was good. I ended up being the hungry one.

From Marco and rest of staff this place is run very professional. We came here from Florida and are here for 3 months. Everyone was very friendly. The food is always great. I highly recommend this location. Travel photographer from Florida. Keep up the good work. The pricing is good also.

I use to love this Bouna location but the food quality has went down tremendously. They use to serve hot dress delicious fries and the last three to four times ve been at this location the fries have been cold and over cooked. My beef sandwiches are also cold now and dry. It’s very disappointing and hope the quality improves and goes back to the high quality it use to be.

Stopped by for a late lunch. I tried the cheesy beef sandwich, which is a new (to me, anyway) addition to their menu. It was really nice; I recommend it! Sort of like a Philly cheese steak, but with Italian beef. Came with fries and a drink as part of the meal. Service was good and the restaurant had a lively atmosphere and good crowd (not too crowded).

I literally live in the Condos DIRECTLY NEXT DOOR so when I tell you my kids want this at least twice a week we eat Buona at least twice a week FIRST TO SAY this is my favorite location customer service is always nasty Sorry but not Sorry it’s the manager I believe is a Hispanic male kinda short WORST ATTITUDE EVER EVER EVER. So basically they completely screwed my order no avocado on the chicken sandwich or bacon like what the hell my son’s sandwich was SOAKED no cheese they they put hot instead of sweet on top of this my pizza was damn near burnt with barley cheese on it and I paid for extra SORRY TO SAY you all came really close to loosing a great customer then when I called to say the question was if you live next door why didn’t I come back THIS IS THE HISPANIC MALE MANAGER I FELT SO DISRESPECT I JUST HUNG UP SHAME ON HIM

A nice treat to not have to cook and the food was good quality and taste great. I love their beef sandwich with red sauce, mozzarella cheese, giardiniera peppers. My wife enjoyed their salads.

Omg. Julio and Marco are the best. I went to the glen Ellyn location and it was terrible. I gave a bad review on everything. On national beef day I tried out the Hillside location. Wow. Night and day. This location is the best. Atmosphere, staff friendliness, quality of food and experience were 100% better than the other location. Marco told me to come back to make up for the glen ellyn experience. I did, unfortunately it was his day off but the other staff remembered me and Julio kept Marcos promise. I will only go to this location in the future. You should too! Thanks for the great experience!

Went there on 10/26/2023 after work around 5pm order a 9-inch comb cut in half and a 9-inch beef two orders of regular fries. I got home to get one beef and two orders of fries. So please check your order before leaving especially if you live far, I called and a person that works there told me to come back today or tomorrow they would give me my comb sandwich. I went there today around 12:45pm the Hispanic manager said he did not believe it thank God I had my receipt he gave me my comb sandwich with attitude. I guess I will be going back to Portillo where they treat you with respect.

It's Buona so the beefs are great! This particular visit thru the drive thru was a bit painful in taking over 15 minutes, but that's not usually our experience.

One of the best quick casual dining experiences I have had in a long time. The food is very good with a large menu, so everyone in the family found multiple things they could choose from. The restaurant itself is very modern, clean, and feels much nicer than most others in this class of chains.

The food was amazing. We shared multiple plates and our server provided great suggestions. They were out of some things on the special list which leads me to believe that they were sought after. The replacement dishes suggested were amazing.

I used the kiosk to order but they did bring my food to the counter and called my name. That was the best beef I had in a long time. I haven't been to Buona for years and they did not disappoint! Restaurant clean and plenty of seating. Went during lunch and not a bad wait. I'll be back!

We served box lunches (sandwiches and salads to order plus kids trays) to 60+ today, and Buona Hillside did not skip a beat. Order was accurate and delicious. Delivery by Dale timely and helpful in checking the order in. Thanks Buona Hillside!

This location is always my go-to. It's always worth the wait, and even that's not long at all. Food is always fresh, never any complaints. If you're in the area, please take the time to fall in love with the best Italian beef around. I will forever be a patron of this place, specifically this location.

First time; will go back (in fact, today). Excellent Italian beef sandwich (think Philly cheesesteak). Au jus gravy really adds flavor. Beef is fresh roasted and buns are just right size. One of the best steak sandwiches I’ve had in a long time. Steak fries served piping hot and seasoned just right. Only “meh” was the iced tea (from mix I suspect).

Just ordered onion rings and baptized beef. Got burnt onion rings and beef with hot peppers. Didn’t order that. Now I have burnt onion rings and cannot eat beef. So 13 down the drain

Awful! I went for the first time on Italian Beef day. I followed all the instructions, downloaded the app and everything. I even decided to buy French fries and onion rings since the sandwich was supposed to be free... they totally ruined the order, it took forever, tried to give me someone else's order, charged me for everything and to top it all off... the food was disgusting! The sandwich was dry, and the onion rings and French fries tasted like they had been cooked in old oil! Now before you ask about the time of day? It was 11:20AM! No, there was no lunch crowd, no it was not late at night or even midday where the workers could potentially be tired from the lunch rush on free Italian beef day. $20 for two free sandwiches 2 orders of French fries and one order of onion rings- that all tasted terrible! They will never get another dime or a second of my time!

BUYER BEWARE: If you are using the drive thru or ordering to go CHECK YOUR BEEF SANDWICH. Went to this place back to back days and ordered the same thing 2 beers with hot peppers, 2 French fries. 1st day got a beef with sweet and a beef with cheese… 2nd day got a combo with sweet peppers and a plain beef. Not sure how you could mess up that bad 2 days in a row but that is it for me. Food was still good just sick of getting what I didn’t order.

Staff was not well trained on service or communication but the food was great. Not the window attendants fault either just a few more hours needed in training and clear communication. Place was pretty slow, and there was clearly little care in answering questions or I would have ordered more.

Food was great. Decided to try something new, a chicken avocado bowl. It was great. The beef is always good. There is great variety and everything has been great.

For a "fast food" establishment Buona Beef is as good as it gets. The food, service and prices are good. I've been going there for years and don't believe I have ever been disappointed.

Tried ordering in their app and it wouldnt let me use my gift card or debit card at all saying to use something else when i just used it the night before and when i tried calling to order they just said nothing they can do. No help at all to try and fix the situation sent me to hold 2x for 5 min before i was able to talk to them at all. I was also not able to use my rewards at all in the app either even though its an option. Horrible service over the phone too. 8/10 would not recommend

Ordered pizzas and salads for a work lunch. 2 were the chopped and were missing some of the ingredients that make it a chopped salad. :( Was very disappointed. Stinks because its not like you can bring it back to the counter when its done through Uber eats. You're at the restaurants mercy. LOL Otherwise everything else was great. Food is always good from Buona.
