Morton Arboretum is one of our favorite destinations all year long. They have the Illuminations on during November and December and possibly some of January. Advanced ticket purchase is required for this event. All year long there are exhibits and lots of walking trails. A chance for you to relax and be away from it all. My favorite spot in the summer is 2 Adirondack chairs on the side of a hill under a tree where you can sit and enjoy the view.

Loved it. It was a really good experience, it was emersive. The weather was great today and we enjoyed. There's something to do for everyone, irrespective of age.

We traveled from out-of-state to see Daniel Popper's Human Nature exhibition and we were not disappointed. Incredible pieces inspired by nature and trees. The arboretum is over 100 acres with plenty of paths, exhibits and peaceful places to sit, reflect enjoy your lunch or just have a conversation. It's a great place to spend the day with a companion or alone. We were told that the previous gnome exhibits were also amazing. Definitely a must on a 'places to go' list!

Beautiful vast land of nature and knowledge. So much to learn about plants, trees, flowers etc. it’s a beautiful place and the ‘human nature’ exhibits are interesting to see. Land is massive so the map does help know where to see some of the more interesting bits. Though It would be nice if they had trash cans spread across the large place. Was difficult throwing our picnic leftover items cause no trash bin in sight. Had to return to the visitor center which is not a near walk. Would also be nice if they had water fountains spread around. Again if you run out of water from all the walking in the burning heat, you have to yet again walk all the way back to the visitor center. Seems a bit much considering entry isn’t free, they could at least consider investing in fountains and trash cans dotted around the huge land. But Overall a great day out, lovely nature, lots to learn, fresh air, birds chirping and much greenery. Saw they building a new grand garden area. Could be back to see how that looks.

Wonderful place to stroll or bike! Beautiful trees throughout!! The accessibility is good because you can actually drive near the location you want to see, park and stroll over to a bench. You can also walk for miles if you are up for it. The arboretum has nice events to engage and entertain. I personally love the gift shop- unique nature themed gifts, clothing, cards and books.

New nature exhibit. Fun to visit. Three of the exhibits are close to the visitor center. One further from the center on the east side. The last one is on the West side. Make it a fun day and visit the children's garden and enter the maze. Pack a lunch or stop in the ginkgo cafe and enjoy your lunch indoors overlooking the pond or outside at the many tables. So many trails to explore. Bring your bike, but leave your dog at home. No pets allowed. They have a few dog day events a year. Be respectful and obey the rules. No climbing on exhibits and don't litter. You might want to purchase a membership and enjoy the many seasons. We did and visited often.

Excellent day to walk with the family, and start to see the leaves change color. Love the scare crows, I took some pictures, the troops were creative! Took the day to really walk around, and saw most of it!

If I lived here, I would be an annual member. One of the most expansive and well maintained arboretum I've ever seen. Absolutely gorgeous with great outdoor installations. The staff are excellent and the grounds are beautiful. I would love to visit the property during every season. Overall a great place to find some forest, trails and beauty. Absolutely loved it!

It was so nice being able to walk through the light show again this year. The experience was much better than driving through last year with the pandemic. Being able to get hot cider and hot chocolate (spiked) along the way was a nice way to help stay warm. Looking forward to next year!

My friends from Texas really enjoyed arboretum’s fall colors, it was very unusual compared to southern nature. The sculptures are nice too, this is my second time here. There is enough parking spaces and the location of exhibits is really convenient. We got a map at the visitor center and were able to find the exhibits pretty easily. One more thing we really enjoyed was the coffee shop. I would love to celebrate my wedding at the arboretum location one day 🤩

Staff were incredibly nice. We had tickets for the illumination show for Friday night at 8pm. High traffic for parking but short wait for bus shuttle. Bus driver was kind and friendly. The whole experience was so delightful. Very accommodating staff who offer to take a picture of our party. Highly recommend.

We missed their really cool seasonal exhibit, but there was still a ton to do!! Incredibly kid friendly, but still a bunch for adults to enjoy! So much natural beauty, and the maze is a must while you're there.

I've been a member of Morton Arboretum for over a decade because I love love trees. I've watched the Arb expand and become more accessible and inviting for families. The new outdoor installation, Of The Earth, is stunning. But my favorite remains the huge Trolls, towering over the landscape in their majesty. The scientific research at the Arb is invaluable to our ecosystem. A walk along the miles of trails, through wildflower-filled woods, past lakes and marshes filled with the sound of frogs and birdsong, is a soul enriching experience. Morton Arboretum is a destination not to be missed.

Nice even weather was great not that cold, felt like the illumination has more back in 2019 but they had sign they were going to have knee stuff next year! So looking forward to see that! Always good time for the whole family and really cool and new statues to! Nature always provides the best pictures

Nice light displays. Fun for the family. Unique and interesting. A bit uncomfortable with the some people being overly focused on Covid mask rules of Illinois. Other than that it was a pretty fun night.

This center is really nice. The glass walls overlook a pond. The bathrooms are nice too. Coffee shop inside the facility is a great treat.

A beautiful place to spend the afternoon. So much to see. Walk as little or as much as you want, the paths are endless. Great little children's area for them to play, explore and learn. Tuesday is pup day so if you'd like to bring yours,Tuesday is the day to go. If you don't like dogs, I'd avoid Tuesday's all together.

One of the best light shows I’ve seen. Last year couldn’t make it so this year booked the tickets well in advanced. The Illumination Tree lights are around Meadows lake trail and everything is so different from each other. You’ll also find hot chocolate and hot cider with some cookies and pretzels around the trail (not free) It’s a great park and there are people guiding you in the right direction. Shuttle service is available to and from parking lot.

Amazing world of variety of trees. Well explained, huge children’s area, with ponds and streams, a tons of wildnerness, alongside with sculptures. I highly recommend to anyone who seeks peace just exploring nature and trees. Great for families with kids.

Nature at it's best. Lovely drive through the woods. There were some beautiful sculptures that can be seen from the car. There are nice paths to walk for a closer view.

The store is well organized and has plenty of merchandise. There is a bakery and a coffee shop on site with nice seething outside facing a lake .

Beautiful all year round. It's worth becoming a member, especially if you live close by as this gives an affordable way to spend a leisurely time. There are many great areas to explore any time of the day and year. I highly recommend visiting the Frost Hill, Conifer area, Lake Marmo, and the areas around the visitor's center.

Love the time slots. It is kept well. We went during a busy time, so there were a lot of people. Have gone before , during fall and winter. Great colors during fall. Children's area is a hit with the kids. Would definitely keep coming back.
