Such a pleasant experience! Absolutely delicious food and cozy atmosphere. There was a wide variety of beers on tap and a nice selection of craft beers to choose from. The restaurant was open till quite late and had quick service. I really appreciated the decor and detail put into the inside of the restaurant, it really set the atmosphere.

We had a lovely experience here. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is warm, homely and inviting. The waiter especially made a fire for us as the evening was cold. The food was great and the drinks are good. The decor in the restaurant is amazing and the bar is super cool. Would recommend trying this place

Great food - but absolutely terrible, inept service. Wait staff definitely need more training or need to be better selected! The wait for the food was also much too long to be considered reasonable. The poor service totally spoiled the experience for me, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone visiting Dullstroom.

Loved the duck cherry pie and the trout sushi was amazing. Fun vibe, nice and warm inside infront of the fireplace on cold night.

Awesome food. The trout sushi platter is yum. And if in Dullstrom more trout is needed so had the trout fillet with spicy chips. Double yum. Excellent service too.

It’s a nice place if you’re white. Me and friends had a horrible experience. I hope they train their waitresses to treat customers better 🚮🚮

The worst pizza i have ever eaten....🤮. And the one burger was like in cold when they served it, i had to send it back. Not a good experience at all............. dont think that i will go there again.

Did not eat, but not a nice atmosphere. Pub/restaurant turns into a sokkie club from 9:00. Music played at excessive volume, disturbing surrounds. Service was slow. Not what it used to be.

Experiences at the Duck and Trout have always been good... one of the best places in dullstroom to get your party shoes on👌. Highly recommended for your stay in Dullstroom.

We went to the Duck and Trout for dinner last night. It’s a lovely pub. It was a quiet Thursday evening but the service was quick, professional and friendly. We had the duck and cherry pie - a local specialty. It was really tasty. The duck was well flavoured and the tartness of the cherry cut through the richness of the meat nicely. It paired well with the salad.

Quaint pub in Dullstroom. Good selection of beers on tap. Extensive menu with quite a variety of options. Service was very efficient but could have been friendlier.

Wanted to give less, we arrived and the place which wasnt busy. The sushi chef was unavailable and was said to only arrive later. We ordered drinks and waited 30 minutes, and it was the wrong type of tea. We had to ask for milk three times, before we got it after she brought out more tea, that we did not order. We ordered a simple breakfast that took 50 minutes to arrive and the tamato was more toasted than the bread which had no colour. The eggs had shells in them and one of the sausages was twice the size of the other one. The food was cold and the egg raw. Honestly dissappointing.

I would give Duck and Trout a 4.5 if I could, its so near perfection. I'm happy to give it a full 5 since they were the only place open at 18H00 on a sunday night. Duck and Trout first and foremost wins with atmosphere. Walking in on a misty, cold rainy night, the doors swing open to multiple fire places, old quality wooden furniture, cosy warm lighting. A lady was playing a bunch of famous old songs live on Piano, you just can't get such a warm atmosphere easily nowadays. Waiters were polite and very well mannered too, they made us feel looked after. Our (wood fire) pizza and coffee was respectfully priced, and deliscious too.

I enjoyed the craft beer and the vibe. The food was delicious. A bit pricey but worth it.

Went to have supper. All night we got the smell of a dirty toilet coming from their bathrooms which put you off your food. Watched the lady making the pizza without gloves while wiping her sweat from her head. Disgusting. Wouldn't recommend.

Went there in December over the holidays. Was so lovely there and the food was the delicious! Very fast service as well! Will definitely go there again when visiting Dullstroom.

Excellent trout sushi, quality flame grilled burgers, and friendly service. Staff could be a little more attentive in terms of removing used plates and dishes, but great value overall.

Very nice.. inside the bar interesting and service very friendly! Outside deck at the back nice addition. Cocktails well priced, tasty and well presented. Trout patee was tasty.. just a little to 'chunky' for patee. Will definitely visit again

Nice pub, the duck and cherry pie has reached its sell by date and need to replaced its lost its wow factor. The vibe is great with live music. Loved the large fireplace. Service was fast and efficient.

This place came highly recommended. Loved the vibe and the 80's music. Food was also good.
