Loved my stay there. 2 very memorable nights. The old school colonial setting in the dining room was giving pleasantly antic vibes. The place is steeped in history! The rooms are decent, the grounds are green with mature trees and shrubbery. The pool is large and perfect for a morning swim. The food was okay, breakfast was generous. It gets pretty cold at night and early morning though.

I had a fantastic dining experience at this restaurant. The food was excellent, and the outdoor ambiance was perfect for a relaxed evening. My only minor issue was that I found the turmeric seasoning a bit overpowering in the chicken dish I ordered. Despite that, I would definitely recommend this place for a great meal and a chill outdoor atmosphere.

I came for a rest stop whilst driving between Meru and Nairobi. I used to frequent the IW many years ago. It hasn’t changed much. New furniture, otherwise it’s all the same. It was a rainy day so I didn’t get to enjoy the grounds. The service was quite slow and the waitress spoke so quietly I couldn’t hear her. Nevertheless the facilities were clean, service friendly, mango juice delicious and the environment very pleasant.

Iconic, visible, easy to access. The management is very friendly and welcoming too. The place has very unique guest rooms and I love the way the have painted the whole place with same one color white. Also the love I have for the vervet monkeys around the hotel. It's a tourist attractions site I recommend

The ambience of this place is awesome. A great restaurant to make a stop if you find yourself within Embu Town. The lemonade was awesome....their salads tasty....and very fresh juices. Would definitely recommend it.

They have good food. They however charge Africans 5,000/= to use your camera. It's the only hotel I have ever visited that charges such a fee for personal photography. Most hotels charge 5000 for commercial photography or events photography. The hotel gives colonial vibes. If you are African (black) please try Nokras Hotel or any other hotel in Embu where you will be treated as a human being. I have never felt so disrespected.

The hotel is conveniently located along the highway, making it a great stop over for travellers. You got to love the creative spacing of the tables at the garden. The staff are very friendly & there's ample parking space. There's a swimming pool section for kids and plenty of space for them to play in the garden. There was an amazing live band on Sunday afternoon!

The pool is 2m deep and very wide and they have a life guard and teacher by the pool which is soo amazing. The tiles at the bottom of the pool are a little slippery but not so much of a big deal The rent out swimming costumes for everyone and give towels. They have both a sauna and steam bath. The sauna was not function but the steam bath was working and not so hot to my liking but I was loving it in there. Would recommend.

A nice place to visit, nice services, a well situated and good scenery, i enjoyed being there though for a shorter period... I also enjoyed their sweet food.. the only thing i didn't enjoy so much are the rooms.. they were freshly painted, hence the paint smell was much, no tv set to watch, no bell for any customer care service when in need.. kindly improve on that.. but generally the site was nice

Nice place to hang out for both adults (especially at night 😊) and children. There's a swimming pool that seemed quite small for a swimmer(me) but it's alright and has clear water. It's a big maze figuring out places especially for a new person. I loved the different fireplaces where one could warm themselves at night. And a huge high ceiling conference hall that can accommodate over 100 people. Great services by the waiters and waitresses who were quick to serve us

Loved the hotel right from the entrance ☺️☺️. The Askari was very pleasant as well. The vivacious flowers! Gorgeous landscaping. Rooms are charming with that aged character. Simple and no- fuss. Location also perfect as a stop over for the night, on your way to meru (from Nairobi). I'd say the down side was the meals..not delicious (with the exception of the milk shake) And the service not up to.

Delicious food. Parking available. Good music to jam to, DJ happily taking requests. Perfect hang out for friends. Multiple sitting positions; if you wanna be indoors, or near the bar, or next to the night breeze.

I was irked by their poor Wi-Fi. It couldn't connect and I work on the road and if I choose a hotel or a restaurant to sit and eat I'd expect to use their Internet. That's a con for me. Their food was alright but I think they're already prepared as they were already cold half way the meal. Making my experience not so good this time.

This joint has a great and green ambient setting. The staff are helpful. Their Molo lamb chops is not so tender but quite to tasty. I enjoyed my time here and would generally recommend it to anyone who visits Embu town.

Need to heavily improve on their Pizzas and customer service. Good family outing place. Also good for group meetings. Has a decent VIP area with goofd outdoor sitting. Swimming pool available. Conference facility also available.

The only problem was that our room (Room 66)wasn't well cleaned as we found a dude's boxer's🀭 in the bathroom. Meaning both housekeeping and front Desk didn't a final room check before check-in. The beverage tray also didn't have a spoon if one needed to make a cuppa πŸ˜”. Overall, loved everything else and looking forward to another visit.πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ˜„πŸ˜„

Great cousine, spacious meeting halls, accommodation wasn't enough for the group. But they made reservations in nearby hotels. Would definitely want to go back. And sleep in their rooms that are very close to meeting halls

Food was not all that. Not worth the amount we paid at all!!!No value for money! The service man looked overwhelmed, he was the only one serving over four tables, he did his best though. Very nice Ambience. Best to have a drink and leave.

They don't offer hot water kettles in standard rooms despite their cost. Poor lighting and old toilets and wardrobes. Need to improve the look and feel in the rooms.

I was frustrated when I ordered a simple birthday cake. Theme color and wordings I gave were ignored. The receptionist blamed the 'kitchen' Miscommunication in time. Was told the cake was ready at 1pm. Arrived at 2pm only to be informed the cake isn't ready I wait till 5 pm. Poor...

The rooms are okay but lack basic stuff like kettle for making tea and such condiments . The breakfast spread was okay . The buffet dinner wasn't the best but if you order A la Carte way better than the buffet. Otherwise it's a good hotel .

πŸ‘ Was really impressed with the ambience of the place, top notch cleanliness, good plan in terms of having a restaurant as well as a bar and a kids play area signifying that it can accomodate different sets of groups. I loved the food coupled by their service. Generally a good place.

😠 Honestly terrible! The bathroom toilets do not work. I was there in 2013 when the hotel was built and the service and equipment were great. Now it is run down, they have not kept up with the service; so it is extremely bad. We had to use the toilets downstairs because our toilet was not working. It’...
