Great place to pet or walk a dog (especially if it's always attacking at the dog park). There are some really beautiful trails, but don't forget to bring enough water.

Great place to hike or walk you dog (especially if he's always getting attacked at the dog park). There are some really beautiful trails, but don't forget to bring enough water.

This WMA, (wildlife management area), is a large area with long rolling hills, marshes and grasslands. Some very long hiking/skiing trails go throughout. Hunting is allowed with restrictions during certain times and designated areas throughout the year.

It is NOT possible to drive to this address, the biggest park entrance is "Skiing at Whitetail Woods Park" which has a parking lot, hiking trails, etc.

This place is truly beautiful! Yes, it's just prairies, but Minnesota prairies are beautiful and Vermillion Highlands really highlight this. Plenty of space to hike and the trails are well-maintained. There are also ski trails and horse riding trails. Lots of farm crops in between. Mostly dirt roads to drive on. Apparently you can also hunt here with a permit from the county. Just be mindful not to go onto private property, which is usually indicated by no trespassing signs throughout.

Whitetail Woods Reg. Park, really great paved trails, wheelchair friendly. Saw a huge hawk, chipmunk, wooly mammoth and a bluebird and a variety of other wildlife. Also saw what appeared to be some tall hemp plants growing wild? A few years ago I saw a black bear cub high in a tree, got out of there quick.

I go walking here with my dog. It's a great place to bring them if it's not in the middle of a hunting season. Please check the DNR hunters manual to see if there are hunters in there as getting shot probably isn't on your "to do" list. There is good mountain biking and horse trails as well, but once again...just beware of the hunting seasons.

Nice place to hike, and jog. Most of it is grassland.

Great place to get out and work the dog. Easy walk but plenty of game to get after. Cant wait to fish here.
