A small hall is entirely dedicated to Pyotr Stolypin, another hall is dedicated to the Volga Germans, there is a hall dedicated to famous people from Saratov and the Saratov region, including Tabakov, Yankovsky, Nikolai Vavilov, Lev Kassil... A separate room for an exhibition dedicated to Gagarin, with an airplane, costumes and photo and video materials. And there are many halls of people's history. In addition to jewelry, dishes, weapons, there is a real burial and reconstructions of faces made by Gerasimov, a famous anthropologist. There are also many interesting details in exhibitions dedicated to later times. The museum staff are polite, there was no feeling of constant supervision, which made it possible to calmly get acquainted with the exhibits. It is possible to purchase souvenirs, but, unfortunately, nothing caught my attention, although the museum has great potential. It would be nice to take something original from the city, or to have at home a small copy of some exhibit in the form of a magnet or a figurine, for example.
