Environmentalists in general, and and all aspirants, require an ecologically conducive site to relate with environmental activities effectively. When you're looking for a green space to hang with friends and family, nowhere looks ecological like Roots Retreat & Camping Site deep down in Kajjansi. In a developing country like Uganda, besides agriculture and other economic activities, wildlife is a fundamental GDP contributor in terms of revenue and income to locals as foreign exchange. Green surroundings are symbols of reliable land, air, water, fire, and life, therefore reserving such resources is a key purchase to sustainable global developments and achievements. The site attracts and accomodates wild species in the dense vegetation ranging from grass, to shrubs, and trees thus favourable to environmental activities. This serves as a custodian of mammals, reptiles, fish, birds, macro and micro species, in an ecosystem hence a wildlife sanctuary. It would take at least 3 hours to get to a national park from Kampala City and only 15 minutes to Roots Retreat & Camping Site, this is a park of its own situated a few meters off Kampala-Entebbe Express Highway. Nature videography, photography, workshops, seminars, research, and other activities gain interest in the site usually on first impression.

It has an ambiance where you can really find peace and make you feel happy. It is a wonderful place where you can escape from the hustle and bustle every day of the week. It also has a large area where your children can play comfortably. The food is delicious and has friendly staff. My favorite part is fishing during the day and sitting by the fire at night.

Great place though not kept well coz of COVID I believe. Othawise it's an excellent natural setting and a wonderful place for photography. They have nice fresh fries but other food u may take at yo risk.

a nice ambient night life, however the accomodation is not worth even half the amount, rooms are below minimum standard and the food could use some improvement ....very disapointing

It's a quiet place for relaxation, team building, camping, with cool music besides a camp fire.

It is a place where a good blend has been epitomised between environment and nature;the natural streams,the beautiful sound of birds,the natural lush green makes your stay more interesting. I recommend for everybody who loves to relax in a natural environment

If you are a nature person this is the place. Go relax and enjoy the sounds and sites of the wild

Garden with water canals and lot of tiny bridges make it lovely space for nature walks. There are hammocks and funny chairs to rest and unwind. We loved upper restaurant. We keep waiting for dances shows to come back.

It's a wonderful place to relax and connect with nature. It has a number of activities if you're interested ( I loved the archery). The cottages are so adorable with very cozy beds. We had a chance to meet the owner of the place Mr sam okello , he was very happy and so nice to us . I love the place, I love nature.

It's an amazing place to visit with plenty to do. You can go bike riding, take long walks, have a bonfire, watch African dances on Saturdays and also do some camping all under the wonderful breeze of nature. The cottages are big enough and the food is delicious. They have a well-stocked bar. However the service cod be better because I ordered for lunch which took about 3 hrs to get to me..

The place is so good and their fish was delicious

Great forest environment. What I liked about this place is the fact that you can't find a mosquito 🦟 even when the place is full of trees, water and bushes.

Serene, Tranquil & if you like a thing about Dogs, there's alot to see.
