Ambience: The place is good for relaxing and sight seeing... Temperature is generally hot in the area but cool under shades of cottages and trees. Slight breeze and quiet makes the place serene. Parking lot: Spacious and located right in the area. There is only 1 restaurant in the area, the food is cheap and awesome. A convenience store for snacks is available. No entrance fees.

Really nice place, tallest clay dam in Thailand, between the dam and another small dam 28 km down stream, they release water making electricity, then can pump back to dam using solar pumps and reuse over and over.

Really like the park near the dam. Beautiful, quiet and well kept place. Terrific view. We got to rent bicycles, quite old but were ok for a ride. The guard at the park was very nice and did his best to communicate although he did not speak english.Well worth the detour on a trip to Erawan falls.

This is a brilliant place, both in terms of its power production and the way it is managed as a national park. The Thais can be very proud of facilities like this, and its great that they offer free access to the public to show off their efforts. As a foreign visitor, I was really impressed and grateful to be allowed to see this wonderful place. You don't even have to buy a ticket, there are food outlets and a shop on site and there is plenty of parking with toilets.

A huge dam, and nice scenery around. But it can be very hot during the day time, so come in the morning or evening. Just 2 clicks away from Erawan Falls entrance. Also, there is a nice cafe with super cheap food just around the corner. Make sure to check it out as well.

Big dam, great view, comfort lodge, delicious restaurant, good coffee, all in reasonable price tag. What more you expect? For restaurant, make sure you order them in advance when you check-in. They can be crowded during dinner time.

Amazing place with an amazing view! Highly recommend stopping by foe photo ops! No drone flying allowed and they close about 6pm (slightly later than most places here that close at 4pm). Can see the sunset. Theres parking nearby though we parked along the dam itself for photos. The journey here takes awhile as well but worth the ride.

Impressive views, nice park to enjoy the beautiful view with good coffee. Free entry and you can continue up on the hills that open the view over the entire valley.

A big beautiful Dam. Very quiet and peaceful setting with a constant blowing of wind. Does give you a feeling of been at the seaside. There's a small garden over looking the reservoir. You could drive over the dam and get a view from both side. Very close to Erawan National Park. Do drop over when you are at Erawan.

The beauty of this dam and the park is well-maintained. Still the same since the last time I came here 5 years ago. Relaxing, and windy.

Actually we were there since many years ago. Unfortunately we decided to dropped by as mother requested. We were surprised of many things were improved on the positive way of facilities there. The way to get there and all services areas were acceptable. Good places for family and friends who visit Thailand and like the junkies.

If you are in Kanchanaburi its one of the best places to visit. The road leading to the dam is scenic along the river. Best to go in early morning or evening because it can be hot during day time.

A fairly large dam with hydro power station. Nice view of the lake but only worthwhile if you're passing by anyhow

Nice example of harnessing the waters power and preserving deep water up and downstream. Many attractions in the area. Thank you EGAT

Must visit. Absolutely great view. Beautiful blue sky. Super green forest such a great road trip to enjoy both side scenery. Over expected for me and my family. Driving around to find many good spots to take some photos and feel the nature 🙂🛣️🍃 Blue blue sky vs. green green trees are so matching. 💚💙💚💙💚💙

If you visit Kanchanaburi, this place is a must visit. why? You can have different view than you hotel room or the river in general. You can see the lake at one side and mountains at the other. They have restaurants as well here. It's a perfect stop for a lunch! But beware of the rider or driver that parks everywhere they want to even big signages are placed everywhere to not to park only at the parking lot.
