Residing in this building for two years and about to start the third one, my staying has provided me with ample insight into its glaring inadequacies. One cannot discuss this residence without highlighting the elevator debacle. In a building of 18 floors, the elevators should be top priority. Yet, in my entire stay, not once have I witnessed all three elevators functioning at once. More distressing is the recent situation: with only one elevator in intermittent operation, residents often find themselves stranded. The culmination of this negligence? The elevators have now ceased operation altogether. It's challenging to convey the sheer impracticality of expecting residents to regularly traverse 17 or 18 flights of stairs. This isn't just an inconvenience—it's a profound lapse in residential responsibility. Equally troubling is the management's habitual response to these crises. Every grievance is met with the same refrain: "technicians are on their way." Yet, more often than not, these technicians either arrive after egregious delays or, particularly on weekends, not at all. This perpetual deferral strategy leaves residents in a perpetual state of anticipation and frustration. Further, witnessing a turnover of four managers within two years lends no confidence in the building's administrative continuity. Neglected gym equipment, dysfunctional for two years, further exemplifies this lack of commitment. Given the substantial rental rates for these apartments, one would expect a level of service and facility maintenance that is conspicuously absent. While the proximity to La Defence may attract potential tenants, I strongly advise a thorough evaluation of this residence. The realities, especially regarding essential amenities, are far from the promise. Picture of all the three elevators not working.

Back in 2018/2019 I spent one academic year in this student résidence, I had a fantastic time here in La Défense. Extra convenient, completely new, laundry room, gym, security guards… I can just say good things about this building. The issue is who managed it: from May ‘til August they keep telling me “yes the résidence will be opened by your arrival in Paris”, but a couple of weeks before they redirected me to their other résidence in Paris XVe, and I stayed there for almost three months… They gave me a terrible apartment, dirty as hell. Then nobody helped me when I finally had the chance to get possession of my studio here at La Défense, I had to beg for a car in which I could put my stuff. At the time this résidence was completely new, I was one of the first clients to live in it, it’s been quite a lonely experience, not the best from a social POV. In general, terrible experience with the staff and the managers, I hope something has changed in the meantime.

Lived in the residence for a whole year and would definitely recommend it to any student that is looking for a student accommodation in Paris. Even though the residence is outside Paris, the public transports are very close which make it easy to hit the center of Paris in under 20mins. The amenities of the residence are also well kept and there are nice spaces such as a common lounge and a study room(open 24/7). I would like to thank Raphael for his help and attention during these last months here.

I am writing this review to express my frustration with the poor management control and communication at YouFirst. As an international student, I have relied on the services and accommodations provided by this company, but I have recently encountered a significant issue with my check-out date and rental contract. Despite speaking with my residence manager, I am now being told that I need to pay €558 until May 18th, even though I left on May 2nd. This is causing a significant financial burden, and I cannot justify paying for a period in which I will not be occupying the apartment. Furthermore, I have experienced several other issues in the building, such as my heater not being operational , water issues, elevators not being operational and the lack of service provided by YouFirst. I have tried to address these issues with the management, but it seems that there is a constant change in management and poor communication that only leads to more confusion and inconvenience for tenants. I urge the management to take this matter seriously and provide a fair and reasonable solution to this issue. As a tenant, I expect to be treated with respect and fairness, and it is disappointing to experience such poor management and communication. I hope that this review will encourage the management to take immediate action and address these issues, so that tenants can have a positive and stress-free experience while living in the accommodation provided by YouFirst.

I am compelled to write this review after facing consistent issues with the elevator service in this student residence. For the past month, residents of this 20-floor building have been forced to rely on just one functioning elevator. Imagine the inconvenience this causes during rush hours when everyone is leaving for classes or returning home. But it gets worse. As of yesterday, all elevators are out of service. Living on the top floor, this has made my daily routine immensely challenging. It's not just a matter of inconvenience but also safety. A few days ago, I was trapped in one of these elevators for over an hour. I chose Youfirst Campus for its modern amenities and location, but the continuous oversight on something as basic as elevator maintenance has been a major disappointment. I urge the management to prioritize the safety and convenience of its residents and address this pressing issue immediately.

I’m glad I chose Youfirst campus la défense for my first experience in Paris. The amenities are great, there’s even a gym, a laundry room, a chill area… Its location is perfect, the metro is at 5 mins walking distance, and there’s a huge mall right in front of the residence. The managers are super friendly and professionals, and make you feel like home. Thumbs up for Christophe and Waly, who are super helpful, friendly, understanding, and very kind. Definitely coming back again if I have the chance.

Had an incredible experience at this residence. Staff and other residents were very clean, organized and welcoming. There is a gym, laundry room, common room, and yoga room included in this residence. Rooms are tidy clean and include a kitchen! All that a student may need. One of the staff members, Raphael, was of great help under all circumstances. Highly recommended to stay here during a study abroad.

The only good things about this résidence are the location (if you like la défense) and it being a new building, the management is god awful, they will not be available to you and if they are they will be very rude about it, there are constant problems with things breaking down and not being fixed (elevator was broken for 2 months) the train line next to it makes it somewhat noisy, and the prices for their non emergency existent services is ridiculous and higher than any student residence in Paris

I really liked my stay in YouFirst! Made a lot of new friends here and the building is new and well equipped! It was really useful that there was a laundry room available. Would recommend, especially when you go to school in la Défense!

I like that its close to my university. Your room has everything you need. I don’t recommend for the summer months of +30 degrees, its really difficult to get fresh air. But for the rest it is fine. Lot of other international students. Good and quick connection with RER A to the city center.

I really enjoyed my first year at YouFirst, it is a good community that has supporting staff. Every time I would have a problem the managing office would sort it out for me. Special thanks to Raphael, who has helped me out many times and was super friendly and understanding. I am definitely staying for longer!

The Location was excellent, it was close to the mall and public transportation, and there were numerous stores and restaurants around. I had an amazing experience in this residence. Set in a very good location, very clean, modern, well equipped, and secure. The managers are very kind and are always ready to help you whenever you need something. Technicians are always ready to rapidly solve any technical problem in the residence. From my own experience, I am really satisfied and glad to have chosen The Youfirst Campus La Défense Residence because it really provides a very good environment for students on all levels!

Stayed at the residence for 9 months and left a year ago for the only reason that the management was extremely poor. Wifi was so bad I couldn’t attend my online classes properly. The elevators were invariably never working. And many times all 3 were out of order, it didn’t make living in the 17th/18th floor easy. There is no proper communication on solutions. Please buy your own vacuum because there’s just one or two for the entire building and it is almost always missing. Great student community, lots of opportunity to meet new people with an international background so thats a plus for sure. I’m reviewing this so late because I thought things would have changed but apparently it’s exactly the same.

A month of frustration: I have been a resident at this property for the past year, When I first moved into this residence, I had high hopes for a comfortable and convenient living experience. During the initial period of my one-year stay, the elevator situation seemed manageable. Occasionally, one of the elevators would be out of order, causing some minor inconveniences, but it didn't seem like a significant issue. However, as time went on, the situation deteriorated. It went from the occasional inconvenience to a near-daily struggle. I could never count on all three elevators working simultaneously, and I often found myself waiting for extended periods, especially during peak hours. Today was the ultimate breaking point. None of the three elevators were functioning, and the management's response, or rather lack thereof, is inexcusable. It's as if they've completely abandoned any pretense of providing a basic level of service to their residents. I cannot in good conscience recommend this residence to anyone. The chronic elevator issues alone are enough to make this place a dreadful choice for prospective tenants. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere for a place to call home.

this is my second year in this residence, first year was perfect and the managers were always answering whenever we needed anything. but this year, wifi isn’t working, microwaves aren’t heating and above all of that the 3 elevators of the entire residence aren’t working. it’s been a month literally in this misery and the technicians told us that the residence went super cheap with the elevators and they need to be changed not just fixed. we kept asking for compensation and they don’t reply to our needs. we pay a lot a lot of money to receive service, where is it?!!!!!!!!!!! the building is 20 floors imagine having to go up and down because the elevators aren’t working as if you live in a cave
