This was one of the best dining experiences my family and I have had in a long time. WE learned a lot about Guatemalan traditional food, it was interactive so the kids were really invested in the learning and dinner in a really fun way! I recommend this for everyone visiting Antigua, delicious food and you learn about the culture and help the locally sourced farms that the restaurant works with.

10/10. Food is super delicious (ended up eating here a few times!) - their tacos are made in house & probably best we tried in Antigua, & would highly recommend the 'tacos vegetarianos' for anyone, so good!! The vibe also is awesome - all the chairs & tables are painted with colour and the music is good. Highly recommend eating here 👌

A perfect place for breakfast or lunch, with YUMMY authentic Guatemalan tortillas, queso, and more. And the women that work there are lovely, adding more color to this already very colorful environment! Con mucho gusto!

Had a lovely breakfast here. The staff is very friendly and the food is tasty, albeit maybe a little more on the expensive side. The space has tons of seating and is very colorful and photogenic.

Wow, we were blown away at how delicious the food here was. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the architecture is very beautiful, reminiscent of Arab or North Africa.. the food tastes home cooked straight from Grandma's heart, so full of love. Delicate but intentional. If I were in Antigua longer, I would come for another visit. This is a must try!

Came here twice in 2.5 days, and they were the best meals I had in Antigua. Both the cazuela de pepian and cazuela de hilacha were great, and their green hot sauce was incredible.

Easily five stars 🌟 Delicious hilachas casserole! Thick tortillas. Delicious drinks! Very clean (and spotless bathrooms). The owner is very helpful with recommendations, happy, and loves being around people. I wish I had found this restaurant sooner.

The most incredible local authentic breakfast in Antigua! The tortillas were the star of the meal and made from corn to table in house. A must go!

You ever go to a restaurant with friends and spend the entire time talking about how amazing the food is? This is that place. The service and atmosphere are top notch. The food is beyond incredible and you can truly taste the love that was put into each dish. Get the Garanchitas, the smoked chorizo in it is amazing. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

One of the best lunches I’ve had in my life. They make their tortillas in house and the steak tacos I had were phenomenal. The cazuela pepian was also very tasty. Highly recommend!

Bro what?!? This place is delicious and hands down the best meal we’ve had in Guatemala. We got tortillas con Lomito, tortilla y queso, and the cazuela de pepían. All of it was top notch. Friendly staff. Great service and food. Riquísimo. I would recommend this spot to anyone rolling through Antigua.

If I could only go one place in Antigua it would be here. The best food in Antigua by far and a great caring staff. The tortillas are first rate and the tacos quite good. But I think what really elevates the space is the attentive staff and the ambiance of the place which is bright and clean. There’s a lot of average places in the city which overly cater to tourists; Comalote has something for everyone while remaining authentic. Something that I loved was the salsa picante and the veg tacos have flor de Jamaica (hibiscus) in the sautéed veggies which is a smart and flavorful touch. My one regret is not coming early enough for the tamales! Muchas gracias El comalote para los almuerzos mejores de Antigua!

A MUST GO place to eat! These are the freshest, most ricas tortillas we’ve had in Antigua. We ate the breakfast and it was amazing. Come here for the food, but not so much the coffee. We will be coming back again.

El Comalote was one of (if not the) best meal during my time in Guatemala. All of the dishes/drinks we had tasted incredible. The fresh-made tortillas also had the perfect flavor and texture. The building is beautifully decorated and the staff are attentive. The restaurant is located a short walk from the center of Antigua, but it is definitely worth the trip!

We visited at the recommendation of our Uber driver and were super impressed. The tortillas were so delicious and the rest of the dishes were large and worth every penny. The space was also very cute!

The best Tortillas I have ever tried!! I can especially recommend the vegetarian ones. Also the atmosphere in this restaurant is so nice, friendly authentic.

What a lovely restaurant and tortilleria! Went for breakfast and had an absolutely delicious meal. Worth leaving Casa Santo Domingo in the morning to have something more "homey" and it was just down the block. And as good as the food was the staff were so lovely to us! They also sell tortillas, cheese, and salsas from the counter at the front of the store. Worth checking out if you have access to a kitchen while you're in Antigua!

Exceptional fresh local food and drinks, kind staff, beautiful setting. I tried local Chichiri drink and vegetable tacos/tortillas. Salsa verde de casa is delicious too. Can eat here every day.
