This is my second visit in Essaouira with a 10 years gap. I strongly recommend this city in comparison with Agadir. Regarding the accommodation, my family (parents and one 6yo girl) stayed for 5 days. The place is located just in the centre with a few minutes walking distance from every major historic point. The beach is around 7 minutes walk though the amazing Medina. We had a living area with a bedroom and all the private amenities at 2nd floor. The place is cosy and authentic with a nice vibe and charm. We loved the fresh towels and new bedsheets everyday. There is an open terrace and common area. The breakfast is too large and cooked with passion. Simo the owner is a really great guy going extra mile to satisfy all the tourists requests. My partner worked from home and always got a warm code in the morning brought by Simo. One thing I regret is I didn’t try a homemade dinner prepared by him. Definitely will return if back in Essaouira.

This is a small and friendly Riad tucked away in the centre of the medina. I had an excellent small suite. Simo, the owner, is very kind and helpful. The breakfast set me up for the day. This is a very homely place to stay. I was travelling on my own and I felt very safe and very comfortable.

Perfect accommodation. We really enjoyed the honeymoon suit and the hospitality of Simo. If I would come back to Essaouira I would stay here again <3 I highly recommend it to u!

What an amazing place!! The manager was awesome and helped us in so many ways. Location was the only downside but it puts you in the heart of the Medina which we loved

It was a little bit difficult to find the hostel, because it's in a small alley. But worth the search! Simo and his brother made just about anything that's made of wood in the hostel themselves. It looks great! Everything was very clean and the beds were comfortable. There's also a roofterras with a nice view. Simo was so friendly, when my friend was feeling sick he really tried to help her and actually send a message a couple of days after we left to ask how she was doing. He was so nice!

So this place is absolutely beautiful. I would recommend to all those who go to essaouira. Kadija and her family are very hospitable and great hosts and make it a pleasure to stay. The property is not far from the main street only minutes walk and though strange to get there it is safe. Locals know each other down the ally way and will guide you. The breakfast is amazing and better than some of the hotel roads I stayed in better than the wind palace in my opinion and the roof top is awesome for people watching but also getting a much needed suntan especially when the beaches are crowded it is a very private and personal place and kadija will supply you with tea. The decor is very Moroccan and true to its roots and you get sooooo much space for what you pay. Definite come back again. Sorry to my hosts for my delay in reply. I visited during the Easter break wasn't too busy and great place to come.

My dad and I had a wonderful time at Riad Bab Essaouira! This was not only in an excellent location in the Medina, but I can't say enough about how friendly the staff was. Plus, we had to leave at 6:30 in the morning for a drive to Marrakech and our host made it a point that we'd have breakfast before we took off. The Moroccan pancakes and the coffee was much better than what we'd had at other riads. Thank you Simo!

Super place, hidden in an intimate street. Rooms right, clean, well maintained. Nice atmosphere at home. Sensational hosts. Delicious breakfasts served every morning. Amazing view from the roof. I recommend !!!

Beautiful riad and amazing room - we had our own little terrace! The breakfast was delicious and fresh. Hosts were really friendly and location was perfect too. We wished we stayed for longer!

Can't say enough how much I loved the place. It is like living in art galery: every inch has something beautiful to look at. And breakfast was fantastic, fresh and prepared with love.

Loved it here it is very quaint clean and very friendly you can see the sea from the rooftop terrace. I wouldn't like to stay here on my own the alley way is very dark in the day and groups of men hang around at night. We never had any trouble at all but intimating if on your own and being a woman.

Amazing place to stay - host so helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast delicious. We had a quad biking experience arranged for us which was INCREDIBLE! We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Very warm welcome and Simo helped with suitcases too. The breakfast was always absolutely fabulous. Plenty to eat and fresh orange juice, which I've seen Simo making. The presentation of the breakfast was without any fault and all food was fresh and tasty. Some people have mentioned the bathroom is not the biggest, but it's absolutely fine for two people. And that you cannot see door's lock, which is not true. At night, by the entrance, there is a light, so you can see absolutely fine. Yes you'll go through a small area (about 4m), without light, but it's safe and without any issues. And this is not Simo's fault anyway. We enjoyed our stay and everything was clean, with new towels daily. Thank you ❤️
