An amazing little restaurant in the heart of the city! A place to go for fine dining and warm welcome by wonderful host. Although we were a group of 8 people all with different preferences the host managed to explain all the menu and help everyone with the choice of food and drinks. It was the best food experience in Maroc! Definitely a place to return.

Of all the places we went during pur week long visit, this place is by far the best: the restaurant itself is gorgeous and staffed by the friendliest people who were so eager to explain the menu to us and make recommendations, but the food is by far the highlight: we all had different dishes and each one was perfect: incredibly high quality and with fresh, artisinal ingredients and cooked to perfection with clearly a lot of skill, but despite this priced incredibly well. All the quality of a 5 star exclusive restaurant with the feel and price of the kitchen of a close friend. If you are near here at all, i cannot reccomend this place enough. 10 stars if i could and will be back again

Another must-visit in Essaouira! High-end food, for fair to budget prices. Staff is extremely nice and know every detail about their menu. It's a restaurant you'll remember - I think such moments are important to collect while travelling. Well done - keep it up.

Formidable! Extremely delicious, a perfect mix and combination of flavours, from salty, sour, sweet. Something that you don’t experience in other restaurants. Really great food. The service is super professional, friendly, knows the menu by hard with all information about seasonings, and spices used in each dish. Waiters and manager are super aware of customers needs. An amazing experience. Would def put it as a must if coming to Essaouira.

Exciting variety of innovative dishes, but I immediately blew my meal budget with one glass of white wine (Gazelle, 50 MAD) and the five crab ravioli (120 MAD) which were perhaps still not enough as a main dish. With their smaller size a 4 or 8 serving portions would be more appropriate.

A really nice restaurant that explores the classic Moroccan ingredients and dishes turning them into something really unique. The restaurant is quite small so to be sure to find place it’s better to reserve in advance.

Phenomenal experience at la cle de voute. The best meal we had in Morocco, not to be missed. The food was superb (I'm vegetarian and they were very accommodating), the staff attentive (they all had great English!) Each item on the menu was explained to every table - couldn't get over this meal, highlight of our trip!

People don't notice it because it's a bit out of the main street, that's why we found it empty. Anyway you won't be disappointed if you give it a chance. Most of the menu is seafood but they have more original choices in my opinion. Great quality and good prices.

Definitely our best dinner in Morocco, and the best Pastilla we had during our whole trip. Every plate is so well thought out, from the textures to the complexity of flavor!! Highly recommended!!

Search Results Translation result My friend and I are Italian, we visited this restaurant for the first time two years ago, and since then it has become a fixed stop on every trip to Morocco! The food is truly delicious, with fresh and lively flavours. the dish is impeccable and refined, the service is excellent, with the owner, Radouane, always kind and available for every need. Absolutely a must-see in Essaouira!

The staff were very friendly although the service could be a bit improved in terms of paying attention to details such as filling up wine glasses and changing utensils at each serving. The monkfish main was nothing less than amazing but the octopus main was not the freshest (texture could be improved and the course can be made better by balancing fish/veggies ratio). I would still recommend for a nice meal at the end of a shopping session!

It I could give this restaurant 10 Stars I would. We have traveled around Morocco for 18days and I can honestly say this is the best food we ate. Our host was helpful, entertaining and made a lovely suggestion of some wine. The meal was so good we had to say thank you to the chef/cooks. I think we were lucky as everyone else had booked. The peach salad was beautiful, the monkfish in saffron was sublime, perfectly cooked and silky. We don’t normally have deserts but the meal fell so well together we couldn’t resist.

A restaurant situated in the ancient medina of Essaouira, well decorated, good food and service. Thanks to Amine for the warm welcome and thanks to Redouane for accept our booking. We was a group of 12 people and we really eat well and pass such a good moment there. Prices are affordable and i just can wait when to be back again

This was probably the best meal I had in Morocco. I had the crab meat ravioli and the octopus and both were delicious. Then I had the croque banane for dessert and it was so good that I almost ordered another. The restaurant itself is also a super cute place with a few resident cats, and the service was good, the server took the time to explain every item on the menu. Highly recommend!

One of the best meals we have ever had. Between the four of us we tried eight different things on the menu, plus dessert, and every single one was amazing. Also, it was reasonably priced. The same meal with wine and beer (which we had), would cost about twice as much in the USA. We just wish we could go back again before flying home.

Really good place, an experimental approach to the moroccan and local food, all the personal was really kind and attentive, we recommend to share starting plates and to eat one main plate per person. Really good wine also, ask for the local ones. The decoration in general was vert good, I would remove the drawings of the parrots, it is not really representative of essaouira, but the rest is very good. The iron detail in the arches is very beautiful.

The food here is excellent. We came two nights in a row and tried a range of dishes, all were perfect. Awesome service and lovely ambiance as well.

Food is excellent, some of the best I have had while in Morocco for 2 weeks. Excellent distinct flavors, attentive service, try the local wines... Highly recommend.. Enjoy!

Cle has a charming owner. The menu is in French and English and the owner takes 5 min w everyone to explain each dish. We were looking for some non tajine/couscous dishes and this menu fit the bill w a menu slightly more French than Moroccan. The cauliflower app was delicious. The prawn dish was good but short on prawns (lentils were outstanding) and crab ravioli had too many ingredients. The fried banana desert was yummy and wine list was reasonable. We went w the Medallion red which was good. Service was excellent. Make a reservation.

Best place where we ate in Morocco. Really professional staff. It s more expensive then other restaurants in general, but we could notice the difference when it comes to food and service. Absolutely to try if you are in Essaouira.

The best food I had during my whole trip in Maroc! Really friendly service, good wine and nice cosy restaurant.

Little cosy restaurant that is full of surprises. We were served by a very knowledgeable gentleman to go through the menu with us so it halved our time to decide what we going to go for. We went for two starters: Monkfish spring rolls, piegon pastilla. They were both so tasty and full of flavours. As a starters, they were all very generous size too which we love. The main we went for slow cook Lamb tagine, meat literally melt in your mouth and you could taste all the spices. Food were amazing, service was also amazing. I have zero thing to complain about this place. So what are you thinking about? Come here and try it for yourself 😉
