Nice big open space with charming venders who will try to sell you fake branded sunglasses and "happy cakes". Next to it is a rocky beach ideal for watching the sunset and eating fleshly barbecued seafood and of course the seafood market

It’s square, a normal square. You may take taxi to this square, and it is right by the citadel and coast. If you stay in the Médina, there are porters available here to transport your stuff. There are shops and restaurants around the square.

A captivating hub of culture and charm, Place Moulay Hassan in Essaouira, Morocco is a must-visit. The lively atmosphere, stunning views of the ocean, and bustling markets make the essence of this coastal gem.

Great place. A lot of things happen here throughout the day. From small bands playing, to big concerts. There are many gift shops, antique shops, cafes around. Definitely worth a visit. I'm not sure if this happens often but on the days I was at this place there was a music festival going on and I had the chance to attend the concerts for free, they were kind of a public event I believe, I didn't see anyone buying tickets anywhere, it was super fun, the concerts only happened at night. In the morning the place is tidied and less crowded.

Its completely dug up at the moment and completely closed off except a path to the port. Shame. I would have liked to see what the atmosphere was like when people congregated here.

Magical place with narrow alleys and atmosphere like from 1001 fables.

It's a busy square full of shops, restaurants with reasonable prices. Midday gets hot , early mornings and late evenings gets cooler. You'll find small group of a band playing and singing in the plaza.

Really nice to walk here! But just to many people, you should use one of the parallel side streets instead if you want to go faster. Also the architecture of the buildings are amazing!

Love this place. Its one of my favourite places to visit in Morocco. There is a lovely relaxed atmosphere here and plenty of great food around. The beach is utterly beautiful.

Moulay Hassan Square is supposedly the most lively and vibrant square in the city of Essaouira. The location of the square between the port and the entrance to the Medina will offer you scenic vistas of the ocean. As an added bonus, you will find a number of cafeterias and restaurants set up along the strand. I'll recommend Taros club in corner of a square where is good views, live music and you can have a good drinks as well. If you visit during evening, the place seems like bustling with cheerful kids and families gathering for a quiet time by the sea. The mixture of traditional and modern culture is the highlight of this square as you will find Moroccan music and contemporary works of the artisans on the street.

Beautiful place, plenty to see, try and get out of the city, some beautiful beaches hidden away.
