if you are not sensitive it's a chill place. but super loud all night, doors slamming, you here people walk and talk, walls/doors/windows let all the noise through. not very clean or beautiful. did not feel home and cozy here.

I never thought i would feel such racism in a place like this .. we booked 2 bed in the mixed section ( boys n girls ) cuz that’s the only thing available for us .. when we get there we were surprised by them telling us sorry you can’t get in unless you have a “red passport” and the way they said it was so rude .. we weren’t moroccans but he said have a red passport first then get in !! And it was very late at night !! .. his logic was it’s written in their policy and when i asked him to show me where cuz I’m sure it wasn’t he repeated the same red passport excuse ! Very disappointed

One of the best hostels I've stayed!! The experience is amazing since you get the reception with lovely and helpful staff. The rooms are clean, with good and comfortable beds. The terraces are amazing with a nice view from the beach and also from the city. Good location, 10 minutes walking from the bus station and only 2 minutes to the beach. Gonna be back for sure. I highly recommend!

Honestly one of the worst hostels I stayed at. One star goes out to the kind hostel workers and the location next to the beach! The rooms & bathrooms are dirty (loose toilet seat, mold in the bathroom). The room had only 1 key, and because of my complaining I arranged to receive 5 keys for me and my girls. I was wondering if you stay with random people, if the door just stays open? Anyway very strange… also when we were changing a random old American man bursted into our room (apparently the owner), about some “security check”, I didn’t believe any of this and had a heated discussion with him about privacy. Breakfast was okay-ish but warning they don’t boil the water properly for the tea & coffee! Our group got pretty sick during our stay there…

I had a fantastic stay at Essaouira Beach Hostel. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the location was perfect, and the atmosphere was amazing. I would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Essaouira!

Nice hostel with very nice people. Conveniently located right across the street from the beach. You couldn’t find a better location. Not a 5/5 star because the walls/door is thin and you can hear all the conversations going on when you’re trying to sleep. Also the bathroom//shower situation was the worst. The toilet was basically half in the shower. When I showered the toilet seat would be very wet

Fantastic staff. Great surf and kite surf coaching and even helped out with pain killers for my sons headache! Top location and the roof terraces have fabulous views. Highly recommended.

The hostel is super nice and clean and has a great rooftop. The staff is just amazing and makes you feel at home. It's also a great place for solo travelers as it's very easy to meet people there. Just loved it!

Amazing hostel right at the beach of Essaouira! We stayed for a week and had an incredible time. The guys running the hostel are super cool, the location is perfect and from surfing to kiting to doing excursions everything is offered by the hostel. Friday is beach cleaning day and a free dinner during the evening with live music - don’t miss it! Will definitely be back here for my next trip to Morocco.

It was absolutely a pleasure to be a part of this amazing hostel family for six days. The people are so lovely and helpful. Right from the first day I felt like home. The hostel is located next to the beach (1 minute walk) and you can see the ocean and the beautiful sunset from a lot of rooms and from the rooftop terrace. The rooms were cleaned every morning. Breakfast will be prepared fresh every morning. A traditional dinner with all guests were as well one of my personal highlights.Thanks for having me.

I cannot fault the place, it was really amazing! I came for a night, stayed for 16 days. One of the best hostel experiences I have ever had. Great vibes, wonderful staff, clean, safe, right next to the beach. Awesome rooftop with epic sunset views and great food and coffee at their own cafe. A bonus, each dorm bed has a privacy curtain, power point and lockable storage. Made lots of amazing friends and even learnt to kite surf at the awesome school down stairs! Great packages and coaches for kite surf and surf lessons. Thanks again legends!

Not only is the place impeccably clean, but it also offers an extensive range of services, including kite surfing classes and skateboard rentals. The atmosphere exudes a soothing and laid-back vibe, thanks in large part to the friendly and accommodating staff. Don't miss the breathtaking sunset view from the upstairs area, and if you need to get some work done, the downstairs sitting area is the perfect spot. The availability of a laundry service is a crucial convenience for travelers. The meticulous attention to detail is something I truly appreciate. To sum it up, this is an exceptional destination for surf enthusiasts and a highly recommended stop for all travelers.

Nearly everything I like in a hostel, bed-lights with charging socket, great free breakfast & free couscous on Fridays. Fabulous roof with sea views, perfect to watch sunset! Downside is also a hotel so drinks & food available to buy are very expensive as is laundry 😊

I booked the Essaouira Beach Hostel as a stopover on my motorcycle trip for two nights. Super friendly staff, uncomplicated check-in, good room, bathroom a bit cramped since the shower, toilet and washbasin have to be spaced in about 2 square meters. The shower had no curtain, which requires a bit of skill when showering ;-), but let's be honest... we are in a hostel and stay for 20 € including breakfast... but the EBH can be rated as great! MY ROOM WAS VERY CLEAN!!! The hostel is very well located, off one of the main streets (virtually right on a huge beach!!!) that lead directly to the center of Essaouira. nevertheless, the location is not disturbed by street noise, but rather quiet. a kind of lounge area can be found not only on the lower floor, where the reception is, but also on the upper floor, where you can find the bar with the snack bar. the absolute highlight is the roof terrace above it, which invites you to chill out or sunbathe. So it really is "a lot for the money" and you don't even have to leave the hostel as they serve food. Thanks to the entire crew, it was nice to have you!

Excellent hostel for a casual trip in the city. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and filled with traditional foods, fruits, etc. Rooms were pretty well kept, beds were clean. Service was always friendly. Surfing lessons were great; the instructor actually made an effort to provide observations and helpful tips for us beginners. Their couscous is also so good. Live music is very engaging. Cool traditional performances by a small group. Great place to meet people and stay by the beach.

Great location and exceptional breakfast! Once a week they also offered dinner (open buffet for a fair price) - Nice way to bring the guest together and was delicious. Heads up: Hostel had a ,,party vibe“ - always music playing etc. which might not be for everyone, but didnt bother me

Beds are comfy, blackout curtain is clutch. Breakfast in the am is unreal! No shortage of food and options. Rooftop patio is a unbeatable view of the bay!

Those guys are awesome! I rented the kiteboarding equipment from them. They're super knowledgeable about local wind conditions and they tell you directly what you need to have a great experience on water and have a great time kiting in Essaouira! Guys at the front desk are friendly and helpful as well. And as a bonus, they do on Fridays Kuskus and local musicians music show (if you rent from them). I love those guys and highly recommend to stay at their place and rent the equipment.

Comfortable room but felt more like a hotel then hostel. Wouldnt fully recommend for backpackers, there are better vibes at different places. Altho it has very comfy and private beds with good storage. Also little far from the city center.

Had a few hours to kill before my flight, so asked if I could take refuge and they very kindly said yes with a smile. The place has a great vibe and sad can't stay a few days, but next time hopefully. Asked people how they found the place and everyone was positive! The great attitude of the staff and guests makes me think this is the place to be in Essaouria.

I spent 3 nights at Essaouira Beach Hostel. It was a fantastic experience. The staff is very nice, friendly, helpful, and kind. The dorms were very clean and the cleaners made sure to clean them twice a day and on-demand. Don't let me get started about the 2 beautiful terraces. I spent the most beautiful evenings there watching the sea and the beautiful sunset. This fantastic hostel is also a great place to socialize and get to know other travelers from around the globe. Make sure to spend a Friday night there. There was free couscous and live Gnaoua performance. Everyone was chilling and dancing to the rhythm while enjoying their delicious meal. In the lobby, there were a lot of games like Chess, Poker, PlayStation, and more. So you could spend time playing with your friend, family, or other travelers. The hostel is also very close to a beautiful beach (around 2 minutes walking). You can spend your morning swimming there and get back to the hostel and take a hot and relaxing shower. Overall, I highly recommend this hostel to anyone who wants to chill, relax, make some great memories, and meet new people from every corner of the world.

Amazing stay at Essaouira beach hostel. Beautiful vue on the beach & sea. 1 minute walk from the surf / kitesurf spot. Rent of surf and kite surf board/kite available at affordable price. Enjoyed the free couscous on Friday night and the delicious méchoui on EID day! As well as the open music 🎵 improvised shows ! I strongly recommend !

Essouria Beach Hostel was a perfect place for our business group. So much so that we had to come back and stay here twice! First time was a small group of 6 people and the second was a massive group of 25. Essouria beach hostel and the owner Ossama really showed us the standard of their hospitality, they really went above and beyond to accommodate for such a large group. We had breakfast everyday which was amazing and delicious and really healthy. They even hosted lots of group dinners for us. They also accommodated for us to learn kite surfing and surfing with them. I Would definitely recommend this place for any solo traveller, small group or a large group. The beds were clean and the staff where very friendly, welcoming and trustworthy. They really make you feel at home! Once again thanks for having us!

Great hostel! Amazing view from the terrace. Very clean. Good wifi. The owner is super friendly and very helpful. Great vibes. Easy to get to know people. I took some kitesurfing lessons while I was there. Really good teacher and fair prices. I should say something negative, but honestly I can't come up with anything. All positive for this hostel. For me this has been the best hostel in my whole trip.

The innkeeper greeted us like an old friends! Very friendly staff. A good breakfast with various fruits. The top two floors of the hotel are terrace with a stunning view of the ocean! The hotel is located directly by the beach. There are always parking spaces on the street.

If you're looking for somewhere to chill,relax and have fun this is it. Great hospitality you feel like you're home. Also it's 100% safe you can you leave your stuff wherever you want without worrying about them. Really enjoyed the place and im gonna do it . Much love to you ❤.
