I wanted to seat on a terrace and this place looked nice, but soon I changed my mind. I sat on a place, but waiters didn't come. Since the terrace was crowded and a group of people left the table where they sat, and I thought it would be more comfortable, I moved to this other place. My surprise when one chair was not so clean (birds traces, you know...) and the other was broken. This time the waitress came and took note. I ordered an ice cream. It took ages to come and when came it was melted... I ordered a second ice cream and the same happened. Well, ...that was my experience. I hope it does not happen to you.

Extrablatt is a good place for having good beers and the ambience is really nice. They have indoor as well as outdoor seatings. The food is average.

Nice cafe but bad atmosphere- I was sitting outside and can’t talk to my friend because all 2 minutes a homeless guy ask for money - I mean I feel bad for the guys but it was annoying

Though staff are polite service is way too slow. 20 mins to get a hot chocolate...considering location with many alternatives they need to do much better

It was not very full but staff took 20 minutes to take our order and another 45 minutes to bring us our drinks. Cocktails are okay, not special. It's usually pretty full. You can pay by card.

The pizza I had was pretty disappointing, the base was too thick for a thin pizza and overcooked. I didn't bother to finish it. The restaurant itself is otherwise very nice and I'm willing to try again in case it was a just bad day.

Went for a quick dinner and decided on taking the Switzerland Burger, which was really big and tasty. Well worth your money. I would not recommend the schnitzel caprese, which basically was a schitzel with small pieces of raw tomato on it. Place looked quite nice and had plenty of space to sit. Serving of the food took a while but in their defence it was rush hour it seemed.

The Hugo elderflower cocktails were nice. I was in a group of three and it took a long time to get served for each round and to get the bill.

Admittedly, we were there early and the buffet was freshly set out. I haven't seen a buffet like that in years: cheese, meats, Müsli,etc BUT also pancakes, cooked porridge, fresh chicken liver paté, pine nuts, fresh fruit. Attentive personnel. Buffet price doesn't include warm drinks. Really enjoyed it and would have stayed longer,if it weren't for the next appointment.

70c Xtra for sweetener with you coffee??? Went there with my sister who is has diabetes ask for sweetener for her coffee and told there was an extra charge of 70c. Shameful

Poor service, no respect for the guests, He was so rude to us When paying the bill, he did not accept the card payment, and he returned the rest of the money in cents, and deducted the tip without asking . Never go again .

I was here one Saturday morning. I have ordered one breakfast package with coffee on your choice. I was really amazed the way served, it was quite organized way and quick. The croissant was really fresh and bit hot, so it’s taste delicious. And the breads also really amazing taste and bit warm. The served also home made marmalade and it was yummy and the coffee was also just amazing. I was really happy with whole thing and the price is also affordable for Saturday’s Breakfast. Please note that they don’t have any breakfast buffet.

Nice service, the food was alright. Not the best I've tasted but still quite alright. Sadly we had to order twice cause they forgot our order.

Poor customer service, waited for ages before a reluctant waiter took my order! The waiters all acted as if they can’t see us and we had to constantly call for them to get their attention but to no avail.

UPDATE Aug 2022: Went at 9am on a Sunday morning for breakfast. Breakfast buffet was ace, although disappointing they charge you an extra €3 just because it's a Sunday. Still took our server a while to come and take payment, but a far more positive experience than our first visit to this location. ORIGINAL April 2022: Decent food, let down by poor service. We could see food sitting waiting for quite a while in the window between the kitchen and front of house. Whilst the floor staff also took their time taking our order, didn't come to check if we wanted more drinks when there were empty glasses in front of us, and didn't respond to us trying to get their attention. Its not as if there weren't enough staff on duty, either. But they were pre-occupied with re-filling the salt and pepper pots whilst sitting at the bar and chatting amongst themselves. Thoroughly disappointed by this first experience at Cafe Extrablatt.

Not really impressed with the reception I got there. I just said hello and wanted to ask if they had a table for two( in German). She was very loud and told me to wait in a very impolite manner. Maybe it's because Im not european-looking. This is a very hard job I understand. But that's no excuse to take out the frustration on potential customers.
