😠 The geriatrics in the house are not good at all. My grandfather is an inpatient there and keeps telling me that he would be insulted if he rang the bell when he needed something. He also says that no one there pays attention to wearing a face mask but only when it is seen that visitors are present,... People often mention mother, care, staff, ward, patients, relatives, Haus,

My mother died there 5 years ago. During her death, the television was on in the room as the person next to her bed was watching in the morning. It was simply undignified for my mother and for us relatives to say goodbye like that. A single room would have been desirable for my mother, especially since her death was becoming apparent. Not recommendable!!! nightmare

The geriatrics in the house are not good at all. My grandfather is an inpatient there and keeps telling me that he would be insulted if he rang the bell when he needed something. He also says that no one there pays attention to wearing a face mask but only when it is seen that visitors are present, which is not tolerable under these Covid circumstances. Apart from that, if there are problems at 5 p.m., they say “... the night service will take care of it!” and they don’t come until 3-4 hours later, regardless of whether it’s important or not. Absolutely not recommended and disappointing.

Just not in the geriatric ward. Sick people are discharged home without their relatives being informed in advance. People in need of help are sometimes complained about because they need something. I saw it with my husband, who was severely disabled and helpless. Released from there in the morning and back in the hospital in the evening. "Great ?? Geriatrics. Thank you.

My father is currently in Haus Berge, thanks to Dr. Hoffmann and Mrs. Sommer. I was always told what things were looking like and what was being done. Questions were always answered. The sisters on the Josef ward were always friendly and they took good care of my father. We were also treated kindly downstairs at reception.

Grauenhaft (Translated by Google) Unprofessional and unfriendly staff. Patients are not positioned properly, someone comes to the clamp after 15 minutes. Terrible

If the annual sales of the Contilia Group, which also includes the Geriatric Center Haus Berge in Essen, were over 530 million euros in 2018, I wonder how this will be reflected in terms of quality in 2023. At least not in various rating portals. My elderly mother was there for 15 days in April 2023 because she fell frequently at home. To further confuse her, she was moved twice - without already being diagnosed with dementia, she was first moved to the dementia ward and then again to another room after a few days. I always thought you shouldn't confuse the confused. Either the music or the TV was playing too loudly. I always thought that loudness caused stress? In any case, conversation is hardly possible. The foreign dialect of the nurse and the doctor made it difficult to answer questions. There were plastic bottles of water in the room, but no cup to pour yourself something. Only a sippy cup with stale tea including tea bags was on the bedside table. Because of the staff shortage and her risk of falling, we found our mother in a wheelchair. We were not informed about this or about a bed rail. Previously she walked on a walker. The residents were given ready-made smeared bread without a knife, but with a fork, so they couldn't hurt themselves, but they could impale the urine bags on themselves. Maybe that's why there was a smell of urine at the dinner table. The visiting times were daily for a maximum of two people and the same people for one hour from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Maybe you shouldn't collect too many impressions, otherwise I don't see any benefit for those affected and their relatives. When we received the short medical report, there were diagnoses that were not mentioned in the conversation and now require further medical examinations. One wonders why the investigations were not carried out there. Finally, we confidently handed our mother over to the geriatric ward so that she could receive help. My impression is that we have achieved the opposite of recovery, except that we now have more diagnoses and a Therapy recommendation that anyone could have made: physiotherapy and occupational therapy! 15 days while my mother became more confused and weak. Only my siblings were able to help her get back on her feet.

My grandmother was here and the treatment is now complete. First of all, I would like to emphasize that this is the worst medical facility I have ever been to. As soon as you enter the geriatric ward, the smell is like a dark foreboding. My grandmother was transferred here from the hospital, nothing was prepared. Nobody knew anything, so my grandmother was lying in the hallway. Despite my grandmother's clear wheezing, action was only taken hesitantly. She developed pressure ulcers because she was positioned incorrectly and appropriate therapy was only achieved through great discussion. A doctor was unavailable for over a week. My grandma's arm was stabbed with a needle, that's completely unimaginable. With the exception of a few nurses, to whom I take my hat off, the staff were overwhelmed, unfriendly and hardly approachable. I can only strongly advise against choosing this facility. I will also check whether it is possible to report it to an authority.

(Translated by Google) Stay away from this "geriatrics". Patients are not mobilized, care by the nursing staff inadequate. One has the feeling that patients are only kept there. (Original) Finger weg von dieser „Geriatrie“. Pat. werden nicht mobilisiert, Betreuung durch das Pflegepersonal unzureichend. Man hat das Gefühl die Pat. werden dort nur verwahrt.

My mother spent her last days at the turn of the year 2023/2024 in the Franziskus ward of the Geriatric Center Haus Berge. We would like to thank the treating doctors and the nursing team, especially Ms. Boy and Mr. Keil, for their emphatic, loving and caring care of my mother. Everyone responsible was available to us at any time and supported us very sensitively. It was comforting to know that my mother was also receiving excellent palliative care. Once again, big praise and thanks to everyone involved. A. & B.B.

Unfortunately, my almost 92-year-old grandmother has to go into the mountains after a serious fall and we have never seen anything as bad as that. Helping patients shower would be LUXURY (statement from the staff!), so as relatives we showered our grandma. Nobody even noticed that we were there to shower because there was no care or interest in the patients. I also noticed that the person next to me in bed wanted to be moved and was just rudely left lying there by the staff, so I helped the poor woman again. Anyone who needs help is lost in Haus Berge. Nobody sees us there anymore, luckily my grandma is out of there now.

On 12 . In January 2023, after breaking my femur, I was discharged without the aids I had ordered. Today is January 23rd and I still don't have a cane or a walking frame, which means that I would only be able to lie in bed if I hadn't gotten a walking aid from a friend.

Normally this geriatric facility wouldn't have earned a single star. I'm still at a loss for words on how to deal with clumsy patients. I have never encountered such incompetence from staff, apart from the lack of empathy towards patients and relatives! I am incredibly sorry and hurt that my closest family members had to go through this both physically and mentally. Absolutely none!!!!!! Recommendation. A proper inspection of the home inspection would be necessary here!!

My physically and mentally disabled sister was cared for in Haus Berge in January after a severe corona infection and pneumonia. Since I was abroad at the time, I couldn't take care of it personally; my children took over at the time. The staff didn't manage to get my sister on her feet; my children did, but I'm grateful that my sister was cared for there for 14 days and slowly regained her strength. My thanks go to the nurses and carers and, above all, to the social services, which I was allowed to call at any time. Many thanks to everyone.
