😠 Horrible. I was under the impression that this is a bird park. Instead it's a collection of small, bare cages and depressed and sick animals. This is no way to keep animals. Absolutely disgusting. People often mention animals, park, lions, Ethiopia, time, tour, visit, lion, good, Addis,

Visited on 27th dec 2023 , 2nd Place visited in Ethiopia 🇪🇹 after airport .. As I read a review from Google about this place but it is not up to that mark , only few animals i think 4 and maximum cage only monkey 🐒 family Only one loin 🐅 All animal cages are dirty , very dirty and very very bad small from the all monkey cage Poor management and fee is high i think we paid 200 for 2 adults (foreigner) Over all wastage of time and money ... Not even enough open space to enjoy with friends and family ..

Not well conserved, the caged wild animals aren't well taken care of, the fences are not well built so impossible to see clearly. I only liked the old trees, and the beautiful flowers planted inside the compound.

Haile Selassie and his wife are buried here so it is worth visiting for historical reasons. However, the most magnificent aspect of this visit was the intricate nature of the church and how stunning it is from floor to ceiling. There is also a replica of the ark of covenant and we were so blessed to have the priest open up the holy of holies curtain for us to see where the ark is housed. No one can see the actual ark but the priest. The smells were also incredible.

I was visited lion Park on 19 April 2023. There was only few animals are available. One Loin, 10-15 monkeys of different species, 5-6tortoise, 2 deers, some birds are also available. But all animals are not good condition. The gate entry fee 100 birr per person for alian passport holders however for local person I think 10 birr. 15- 20 minutes we can cover all park locations.

(Translated by Google) It is a church where the Emperor Celassi is sacked and the remains of 122 victims are enshrined according to the will to share the remains of those who participated in the Korean War. The emperor was also found dead under Ethiopia's communist sovereignty and was found under a wooden floor during the remodeling of his office. I am very grateful and grateful for the country, but it is heavy that I was persecuted in the communist world. It's hard to visit, but I think it's a must visit place for Koreans. Religiously, the stained glass inside is so beautiful. At that time, Ethiopia was a very rich country of $ 30,000 GMP, so we already ordered this splendid stained glass in Europe when we were devastated by the Korean War. However, it's too bad to see the current situation that has collapsed so badly because of communism. However, the veterans of the veteran who are proud of being treated by these hospitals and their families are completely free of charge and sponsored by various volunteer organizations. The place should be repurposed for something else. The lion's look as though they have not eaten for years. The storks are caged in a very small cage which can not even make them stretch their wings. The baboons are not kept well and have no room to jump and were very agitated.

My visit to Ethiopia and Addis Ababa would not have been complete with out a visit to the Holy Trinity Cathedral if even only to see the final resting place of The Emperor Haile Selassie and wife Empress Menen final resting place. The tombs of the Emperor Haile Selassie and Empress Menen Asfaw, as well as other members of the Imperial Family, are inside Holy Trinity Cathedral. Patriarchs, Abune Tekle Haimanot and Abune Paulos of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church, are buried in the churchyard, as is the famous British suffragette and anti-fascist activist Sylvia Pankhurst. Prime Minister Meles Zenawi and other prominent Ethiopians are also buried there.

Lion Zoo Park was founded in 1948 and is a small zoo in Addis Ababa. Before the park was opened, some lions were hunted in Ethiopia and donated to the Emperor Haile Selassie. The lions lived at the Palace. Later they decided to keep the animals in Lion Park. The few lions that you will see there are rare species: Leopantels Abyssinica. There are also other Ethiopian animals at the zoo such as tortoises, monkeys, baboons, ducks, rabbits and fish.

Thank you, Alex, for an incredible tour experience! As a solo female traveller, I was somewhat apprehensive about the trip. Alex was professional, courteous, and trustworthy. He was able to deliver exactly what was promised. I contacted several tour operators in the Mekele region but he was was the only one who was able to arrange exactly what I needed on my limited time frame. The vehicle was well maintained. He also was able to arrange my tour to the Danakil depression and made sure I had a front seat in the Landcruiser. This really made the trip more comfortable. I highly recommend him! Details like a welcome gift, local honey and bread, and sending me pictures after the tour really show that he really goes above and beyond.

The entrance fee worked out to be £5 per person, at first glance there didn't seem to be much to warrant the price tag especially when a guide was extra. Having said all of that we got to see the tomb of Emporior Haile Salassie and his wife. In addition, the museum was quite interesting not to mention the grave of Sylvia Pankhurst, who was from Old Trafford, Manchester my home town. For that alone it was worth the entrance fee.

Alex was amazing! My two friends and I arrived in Gondor nervous and confused, but Alex met us exactly where we planned and helped us with everything from hotels to tours to local hang outs. He made us feel as though we was a good friend rather than a customer. He was more than happy to take us to whatever we wanted to do and clearly knew an incredible amount of information about Gondor and Ehiopia in general. Later in the trip he happened to be Addis Ababa at the same time and happily showed us around. Alex is super friendly and genuinely wants visitors to have an amazing experience in Ethiopia! I highly recommend traveling with him!!!

My wife and I did organised a tour, in March 2016, with Simien Image, to Gondor, Lalibela, Axum, and Gheralta. Alexander at Simien Image organised everything, flights, hotels and tours. He also accompanied us on the tour to check everything went well, he was great company and ensured that we experienced a few things most tours would not include, everything was included in the price of the tour so we knew the full cost and hotels, restaurants were all of a great standard and we had great guides at each site. I can thoroughly recommend Alexander and Simien Image for a full tour in Ethtiopia or for day trips from Addis Ababa.

A One night two days tour to Hawassa Ethiopia This trip was unexpected but i was happy that we did it. This was an amazing tour and i was so happy and exited when we got to Hawassa because Hawassa is known for its Fish Market and there for we eat fish and even Raw fish...what an amazing experience to eat raw fish and visit places on the way to Hawassa like Shashemene for the Rasta people. Because we had great Driver with Amazing music the road from Addis Ababa to Hawassa seemed short and it was so much fun. On the way we stopped at good places to have a good view of the Abiata Shala lake and take some photos. Everything was Great and perfectly planed. Thank you so much Alex for the Great Tour. If you are Thinking of visiting any part of Ethiopia I Highly recommend Simien Image tour and travel they will take care of you very well and you will be satisfied with their service.

Booked two trips with the company. Worst two days of our two week journey. 1. Day trip to the Simien. Started off with a 7.30am pickup where we were driven around in Gondar for hours. At around 9am they decided to put us on one of those local van which was in no condition to be going to the mountains. The original van was the white tourist van, proper seats, clean, and safe. Whereas the blue/white van that was quite a wreakage. The seats weren’t properly locked into place, so it felt like we were sitting in a rocking chair for the day. Extremely uncomfortable and unsafe. Seatbelt didn’t work as well. The trip was a rip-off at $100 per person per day. We felt cheated. 2. The next day we had a private car booked to take us to Bahar Dar with stops along the way including photos ops and Blue Nile falls. Once we got in the car we were told that a visit to the falls isn’t included. I had a long argument with Alexander since he corresponded with me via email prior to the trip and we agreed on $50 per person for the transfer with stop at the falls. All in all an unsafe company! Risking their clients safety physically and cheating financially as well. Better off using other companies that will provide service as agreed.

Like other places of interest in Addis Ababa It is best to keep an open mind and not compare Ethiopia notable building to Europian architecture or history. That way you will be rewarded. I was fortunate to have a guide who covered every need and took care of the entry fee. The highlight for me was the group of cantors singing, which to me was the closest thing to Gregorian chants if one wants to bring a form of comparisonof. Only bolder and I met it with reverence when my guide explained that it back dated the provemance to 300 years

Built in 20th century, architecture of the cathedral is wonderful with magnificent sculpture on outer walls.Inner side is very simple with colourful stained glass paintings and the tombs of the donor king.As no one is building these type of cathedrals anymore we get the chance to enjoy by paying 200 birr as a tourist which is expensive. Since sculpture is getting lost with civilisation progress, last chance to feel the hard work that has gone into this.museum has some good artefacts though the designs appear to be rude.

It was good. All the Lions were sleeping, which make it boring.

A great place to enjoy with your loved ones. You can see real lions, various apes like guerillas, various birds like eagles. You can also get amused with your children various plays like roller coaster.

This suppose to be called bird park or monkey park. Definitely not a lion park! There is only 1 lion who is extremely depressed 😂

Not worth it. Not recommended. One Loin, 7 monkeys, a couple of tortoise, 1 deer , some birds. But all animals are not in good condition. The gate entry fee 100 birr per person for alian passport holders however for local person 30 birr. Not really worth the time. I would highly recommend the Unity Park.
