Well, it's my favorite when it comes to getting my coffee supplies. It is one of very few shops in the city supplying coffee in soft grounding (Turkish coffee) which is the way I like having my coffee, before knowing this one I had always been struggling with making coffee by my own in a coffee pot. The good thing also is they have a serious coffee business, you would find all types of coffee roasting and grounding, and they will just do it in your presence (Fresh as it should be)! The shop is hard to get into, just follow the map it is not in a main road but it is still full of people, regural customers I guess! The prices were better than other coffee brand, they used to sell 250 g for around 92 Birr and the 0.5 Kg for around 150 birr I would highly recommend it if you are looking for a good place to get your coffee supplies

Perfectly placed in my hood with super cheap and great tasting coffee! They roast their own beans onsite so each bag that you buy is guaranteed fresh and of really good quality! Wifi and some food would be a perfect addition to this place!

One of my fav coffee places in Addis! This is the place I get beans for my morning coffee and for gifts. Their beans are perfect for drip/brew/french press: low acidity, medium/dark roast. Little cozy shop and friendly staffs:)

I’ve been here a countless number of times. I love the amazing smell of roasting coffee that greets me every time I walk through the door. Aster Buna roasts it’s own coffee on site, and you can peek through the glass and see the machines and workers at work. The coffee here is inexpensive, but legit. Also, this is the place I buy roasted beans and ground coffee to give away as gifts. The price is more than reasonable. The one thing that would make this place better is better quality pastries. I’d love to see that addition.

Historical coffee house in Addis Ababa should be on the 'must do' list for coffee lovers. Ask nicely and you get to see the Roastery too :)

It is one of the best places for coffee and macchiato. The aroma is just amazing without even drinking the coffee. A small and cosy coffee house. For the quick and best macchiato. 👌 You can also buy different types of brewed coffee for mocha machine or even for the Ethiopian traditional ways of making coffee with the Jebena. The medium roast ground coffee is my favourite.

a must place to go for coffee lovers when in Ethiopia. they have drinking menu and roasted bean for take away. The bean was darker than I expected (so if you order medium roast, it seems like medium-dark roast). It was very crowded with locals and some tourists. I love the postcards they sold here (and I wish it is still sold), I was struggling to find a good postcard and I asked my local friends and they said it was no common, so I was happy when I found it with a nice design.

Their chocolate cake was rich, moist and had the perfect balance of sweetness. The macchiato was excellently prepared and it had a strong flavor that went wonderfully with the chocolate cake.

Tomoca coffee is the gold standard of Ethiopian coffee in Addis Ababa, everyone knows about them. Though it’s written up in virtually every guidebook and piece of Addis writing you’ll come across, it’s for a good reason, and it’s a coffee shop you must visit if you love coffee. It’s a very small, antique looking, coffee shop where the aroma of coffee will hit you before you enter. There’s no seating, so you basically order a cup of coffee and either stand somewhere, or place your cup of coffee on one of the few stand-up coffee tables.

Great coffee place! It was quick, incredibly tasty, and felt like a real cultural experience (Ethiopian? Not sure—I just got here, but it was overwhelmingly local). You order the coffee and are given tokens to take to the baristas who make your order. There are no chairs—only bar-height counters where you stand and talk to your friends over coffee. Everyone passes around the sugar. Really fantastic!

Very nice small café worth visiting. They offer variety of coffee such as espresso, cappuccino, latte etc. You can purchase coffee beans or ground coffee. Some says Tomoka has the best coffee in the world. Well it’s definitely worth trying it. By the way this is an Italian cafe but of course using Ethiopia coffee beans.

I bought two packs of half a kilo and they charged me the price of a kilo. I was not informed about the various types of grinding available, therefore I am really curious to taste this "coffee gem". Tomoca is a good place. But, I had a terrible experience when I called the number listed on Google business. I had to call the number because my wife thought she forgot her purse in Tomoca Haron. The lady who answered the phone was very rude and she smirked and asked me if we had had alcohol along with the coffee. She thought it was very strange that somebody would forget their purse! I was trying to find out the number of Tomoca Haron to see if somebody found the purse and kept it there. But, the lady would not listen to me and she finally remarked that I should talk to the police. I was just asking for the number. If the lady thinks she is too important to answer calls, then remove her number from Google business. I was very very disappointed with her behaviour because I always had high regards for Tomoca as a classy place. Not anymore! They have good coffee, but they ain't classy!

Old school Ethiopian cafe. You might have to fight for your place in line with the locals but you'll be glad you did. First go to the cashier and place your order. She will give you a token(s) for your purchase. Take them to the barista and receive a cup of heaven. Their macchiatos are authentic and served in a glass cup so you can see the layers. Try a Shi-bunna if you want another Ethiopian specialty - espresso floating on hot tea.

When the Piassa locations donut have the cake donuts, I come here. Call me nuts for these donuts but good golly are they delightful! The coffee is what you'd expect from Tomoca, impeccable. While the presentation could be improved (some foam designs?) ultimately it will end up in your happy, satiated stomach as this is the good stuff. Come here if you want the some of best coffee in Ethiopia. In Ethiopia, you can do three things: adapt to the air condition, take injera and drink Tomoca coffee.
