Four stars because they do not provide a functioning number to call with the booking confirmation. We had arranged for an airport pickup that wasn't there. I had a Sim for Ethiopia but couldn't call. The message was "the number has been turned off" !? Finally called the number on Google maps. It was quite the ordeal. We had even gone in person the week before to confirm our reservation, give the pick up time, and request a quiet room. It was confirmed and noted that we would have a room on a higher floor. We were given a room at the front on a low floor (ie very noisy) !?!? Grateful for the Bell person who tried their best but still only got us a room on the 6th floor with a cot as the second bed !?

Best service I've had in bole, we had bookey two rooms on different floors by accident but the staff was so helpful they changed our rooms to the same floor without any hustle. There restaurant was also great my cousins still talk about the family combo we shared last summer

A great place to stay if you are visiting Addis! Situated right by the airport, with a shuttle that collects you from arrivals. The staff were extremely kind and helpful. Really enjoyed chatting with them! Awesome location. Clean rooms and plenty to offer.

The staff were incredibly friendly and so helpful. Wifi was decent but not blazing fast. The room want the cleanest. They had toothbrushes but no shampoo/conditioner. To note, lots of hot water but no cold water... The shower and sink were very very hot and no way around it.

Very near to the airport but the hotel seems to be renovating their interiors so very poor room facilities like leaky bathroom etc. Their Internet never works in the room so don't rely on that. It's probably a 3 -star hotel , definitely not 4 star

It is well located at one of the safest parts in Addis Ababa. I love its location because it not hidden and doesn't worry people who stay there (even first-time visitors) on losing directions. I wish they have more (easier) parking space (I know the problem of space scarcity in Addis (I'm not complaining)).

The staff here is awesome, very helpful and polite. The breakfast is good. My room was always clean during my stay.

I have stayed at multiple hotels in Addis Ababa and you will not get a better deal then Best Western Plus Pearl! The service is great! The restaurant is open 24 hours and the food is delicious! They have a massive breakfast buffet which is included in the price of the room. The rooms are clean and up-to-date. Checking in and out was seamless. Highly recommend!

Stayed in a Standard Deluxe room. The rooms need immediate renovation however are comfortable. The shower area is too cramped. The staff was helpful & accommodating. Location is good. Breakfast buffet had variety of options but the room service food was bland and very average.

We stayed here for 2 weeks. Their hospitality was really good. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The rooms were spacious and clean. The road facing rooms had balconies too. Breakfast was also decently good. The hote also has a shuttle for free pickup and drop to airport. The airport is at a walkable distance from here. Overall a great experience for us here.

Affordable price and incredible staff. Breakfast is a nice selection of Ethiopian and western dishes served buffed style. Rooms have a safe box and mini fridge. Room service is prompt. Most importantly (for me) I didn’t see any “pests” during my entire stay which is surprising to find in Addis! Will stay again in the future

We stayed at the hotel for 2 weeks and it was great! The hotel is located very close to the airport. Hotel rooms are spacious with very comfortable beds. Breakfast was extensive and very good. But mostly, amazing staff. All the employees were so nice, helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay and are definitely coming back on our next trip to Addis Abeba.

I stayed at this lovely hotel for two weeks over Christmas. The service is off top quality and what makes it so welcoming is the helpfulness and professionalism of all the staff. The room i was initially given had a minor problem - when I reported it, I was given an option of three alternative rooms and they took my feedback to make amends for the next guest. I haven’t found any other fault. Stay here you will not regret it at all.

The hotel location is oerfect for travelers staying for short or longer period. You will be greeted by excellent service at the front desk. The continental breakfast blended with Ethiopian cusine and the traditional coffee makes your day pleasant. This probably is my fifth stay and always enjoy it. 5 min from the airport is an added advantage.

The pickup from the airport went smooth and quick and a warm welcome at the reception followed shortly afterwards. The staff is very friendly and supportive. The breakfast was ok, with a variety of choices. Diner was great , sometimes even a little bit too much for me. I liked the traditional Ethiopian dishes a lot. The room was perfect as well and the housekeeping ladies were very friendly and daily did an amazing job. The only remark I have, is the fact that the pricing on the restaurant menu is not fully clear. It seems like the prices are including tax and service, but they are being added on top of the mentioned prices afterwards. To prevent confusion, this could be solved.

The hotel is located at a convenient location with nice and kind personnel who are always there whenever you ask for their services. Some of them even go the extra mile. The manager Samrawit greets us with a nice smile always making sure about our comfort during our stay at the hotel. We enjoyed the breakfast every day. The hotel is also clean and modern. All in all we are happy and recommend this excellent hotel if one wants to have the same experience during his stay in Addis Ababa.

Really friendly and attentive staff. The rooms where great and the perfect rest stop for a transit flight. Maron was especially cordial and responsive to all queries. Definitely a stay I would recommend.

Hotel is good it is clean, pretty close to airport, they have shuttle service to pick up and drop at the airport, variety of breakfast, staff is very polite and good, you may please follow the instructions of the staff on certain restrictions moving late night in the city, for your enjoyable tour in Ethiopia.

The location is convenient 5 mins away from the Bole Airport Breakfast and restaurant is good and very reasonably priced. Negatives Stayed 6 nights (was a mistake, as this is good for just transit or non returning customers) 1- Wifi is very bad. While we don’t expect the best internet in Ethiopia but this is pathetic. Your wifi depends on whether the neighbor is in room or no as the router is shared in 2 rooms without a continuous power. If no key card in neighbor’s room your wifi is down. Even after a room change, it didn’t help much. Worst is that the staff doesn’t want to acknowledge that there is issue with wifi and blame it on me and my device. No sense of tracking an issue as multiple people share the front desk and if you call for following up on the issue, the next staff doesn’t know the issue. Only on my 6th night the main manager acknowledged that there is an issue. 2- The shower cabinets don’t close properly, and even from sides leak water into the bathroom. Stayed in 2 different rooms, similar problems. The fittings are very cheap and construction quality is poor and this could be the reason. The first room I stayed in the bathroom and shower cabinets too small, designed with transit hotel in mind but not for stay over 1 night. While it’s known that BW hotels are a franchise and independently owned, the standards are not upto mark.

I booked this hotel as a BW Platinum member, after reading the reviews. Fantastic - just what I needed. I arrived in Addis after midnight - made it through passport control - finally got my bags. What a welcome sight to see the friendly shuttle driving smiling and waving. I had messaged the hotel via WhatsApp in advance to set up the shuttle. Perfect. After a less-than-5-minute drive to the hotel, check-in was quick and easy. My room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. In the morning, breakfast buffet was delicious and included many options. Checkout was quick and easy. I even received a gift bag of local coffee as a thank-you for my stay. Without question, I'll be back.

Stayed here for 3 nights Did not have power for about 4 hours during the day, the loud generator had run out of fuel. The air conditioner didn’t work, I had to sleep with my window opened, more of the street noise in my room lol. The safe didn’t work, they tried to fix it a few times and gave up… the omelette is pretty much what you can have for breakfast. The rooms only have tea, no coffee or creamer. In the end I was simply numb about it all…and just ran my clock down till check out Oh lastly, don’t walk barefoot, the wooden floor has uneven tiles, some dangerously popped out. The staff were however very warm and very helpful. But need more training.

The worst hotel experience in my life. Our room was missing an iron and when my husband was checking out they accused him of stealing the iron ( who in the world steals an iron). They called security and said they had to check his bag. This was by itself embarrassing and belittling. It is beyond my comprehension why a person who can afford stay at this hotel would steal an iron of all things. Not only that they broke several valuable items while searching his bag. I am Ethiopian and my husband is not. To be honest this experience made me embarrassed of my country. Stay away from this hotel

My stay at the Best Western was simply amazing. The hotel is located conveniently near the airport with a shuttle facility. The staff is very hospitable and is very accommodating. They allowed an early checkin, free breakfast and a hang of room type. I font think any other hotel will do it without a fuss. I did not have to wiry about anything as I just needed to inform the front desk of anything I needed and it was taken care off immediately. Now the food, the menu is small yes but each and everything on it is simply amazing. If you don't see something g you want on the menu just ask the chef... Book this one without second thoughts..

Best Western Plus Pearl Addis is located conveniently near the airport. I was greeted from the airport with a complementary hotel shuttle. When arriving at the hotel it was clear to witness that the hotel had an amazing ambiance, and professional staff that greets their guests with a smile. More surprisingly, I witnessed that the hotel was super clean and the rooms were spacious with comfortable mattress and fast in-room WIFI internet access. The bathroom had all the amenities, and the best hot and cold shower. The hotel has a fine-dining restaurant located on the first floor of the hotel. The restaurant prepared delicious meals with varieties from Mediterranean to Italian dishes as well as comfort meals. To my delight, I enjoyed the cozy bar/cafe on the ground floor with the best cup of macchiato I have tried anywhere in Ethiopia! Most importantly, the hotel is located in one of the safest areas of Addis Ababa - upscale neighborhood of Bole. There are malls, banks, cinemas, restaurants, and entertainment venues all within walking distance. All in all, I enjoyed my stay at Best Western Plus Pearl Addis and would recommend it to anyone who is looking to travel to Addis.

This is one of the nicer hotels I've stayed in in Addis. The beds and lighting were pretty great and the food was decent. The toiletries are complimentary but on on request, and I found them to be a little inadequate. All in all, it was a fair experience

Not great but not bad. The hotel was not as central as I thought it was but getting around in a taxi/Uber made things very easy. Rooms feel dated but are still comfortable. Staff was great and the little bar at the lobby was pleasent

5 min from the airport. Lots of construction going on next to the hotel. Few coffee shops cross the road. Not very steady WiFi service. Love their 100% Papaya juice. Do not confused with their sister hotel and this is BW plus Pearl.

Just minutes’ walk away from Bole International airport, the location is very convenient. Stayed for training and business meeting, I found the hotel very comfortable, clean and safe with good food service. The staffs were courteous, respectful and professionals. I'm disappointed to hear that my brother had a bad customer experience with the hotel. I booked room for him and emailed the hotel to charge my card once he arrived. Throughout my email conversation with the hotel management by the name called Ruth B I stressed to you that I'm reserving the room for my brother coming from SA ;however, on his way out after nine days of stying with them they asked him to pay the room charge. Luckily, he had extra money he had to pay the money, however, the experience he went through at that moment was not expected from the professional hotel management. I can hear their conversation since he called me at that time to let me know the situation. When I booked this hotel based on the customers review, however, I can say that the reviews was biased and misleading. Totally, management handled the situation unprofessionally. I'm writing this review especially. for Habesha people who are coming home because I overheard the level of self disrespect from the management to another Habesh.

I have stayed in this hotel for 17 nights with my younger brother. It was an amazing stay. We were upgraded to their special suite room. The room was so clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast has so many varieties ….. we enjoyed their local dishes….. lots to choose from anyway. I couldn’t thank enough all the people who works there for their special services. They are wonderful and helpful staffs in every regards. My special appreciation goes to Lidia (Rahel) and Lidet who made our stay so beautiful. They go above and beyond to make sure we had everything we want. Kudos to you girls!! I do love the hotel and would definitely stay here again. This hotel is one of the best hotels in Addis for a reason = Location: it's located close to the airport and in one of the safest neighborhoods in Addis; Service: the service provided by the staff is second to non. Very well trained staff, and they do their work with a smile. To my surprise, everyone was greeting me with my name. They even surprised me with a gift; Restaurant: I have dined at many restaurants in Addis, but Rosemary restaurant inside this hotel serves one of the best dishes in Addis, hands down; Rooms: the rooms at this hotel are nice and cozy. From the mattress to the shower, everything was set-up with the guests comfort into consideration. Honestly speaking, I felt like I was at home; Bar: the bar was cozy. They prepared nice cocktails and snacks. I spent quality time with friends. Try this hotel, you will never get disappointed.

I have stay this hotel more then 2 weeks, great hospitality, great staff except one of the front desk workers and the supervisor for the security which they insulted my husband, and I want to give GM Joseph big hands up 🙌 for his good customer service, but the last couple days I felt little uncomfortable for the way they treating us, even though we but the sign to clean our room, by the time we come back no clean at all, and the last 2 nights I had to call the front desk to get a flip flops 🩴, and some attitude for the workers especially the one who works in the restaurant in the breakfast time, even though you getting ur own breakfast since it is buffet, they expecting you to tip or you will get attitude, and last thing don’t leave anything value in your room, cause the day I was leaving I found out someone stole $20 dollar in my bag. Great location though close to the airport. And our room floor woods was coming off and in the morning they were working 2 other rooms in our floor, they don’t care if you sleeping or not, I will never go back.

Excellent hotel with excellent location, located at 2 minutes’ drive to Bole International airport, extremely clean & comfortable. This was my 3rd time staying and have been impressed each time with the hotel quality and staff professionalism. This is a true example of what a hotel should be. The staff( Lidiya, Tensae, Kalkidan, Mulearek and other employees) have showed true welcome and very attentive to the needs of myself and my whole family. They even offered to cook special food for my son when he was not feeling good. I am looking forward to staying with them in the near future and I hope the owner keeps up the maintenance to keep the quality of the hotel.

I was pleasantly surprised with the facility. Staff were amazing, friendly, helpful and always easy to approach if there was a problem. Rooms were clean, beds and pillows very comfortable, nice linens. Getting stuck in the elevator when the power flashed was not fun, but staff were there to help me calm down when they got it running again. BAD...One of our group forgot a zip packet full of expensive underwear in the room on a shelf - didn't realize it was missing until we unpacked in Dubai (good thing shopping was close by). When the Best Western Plus Pearl was contacted the next day, it was not found, but an old purse that was discarded into the garbage was found. Cameras in the hall should have shown which employee entered the room - they had to know who could have taken the zip packet pouch. I would have highly recommended this hotel, if not for the missing (stolen) zip packing pouch.

Very nice hotel, good service and fair price

Our company have had a great experience at Best Western Plus Pearl Addis. We conducted our meeting and had an excellent lunch buffet. The hotel has state-of-the-art conference rooms which we really enjoyed. We will be back for our next conference.
