We came on a Saturday night and this place was packed which is always a good sign! We were in the mood for Hakka food, so we got to try out some dishes. Everything was so tasty and filling. Their food is also halal. The portions were huge and we had so much leftovers to enjoy for the next day. It seemed like every guest at the restaurant went home with leftovers. Talk about best bang for your buck! Pictured: Lollipop Chicken Captain Ting Chicken Egg Fried Rice Chowmein Mango Lassi The Captain Ting Chicken had to be my favourite! It was battered fried chicken breast with green bell pepper and onions, in a nice sweet and tangy sauce, and sprinkled with sesame seeds. It paired perfectly with both the Egg Fried Rice and Chowmein. Their Lollipop Chicken is the perfect appetizer and great for sharing. If you like something spicy, try their Chilli Beef, and you can substitute for your choice of protein. The mango lassi was so satisfying and great for balancing off the savoriness of each dish 😋 IG/TikTok: @t.foodie_blog

Highly disappointed with the quality and the taste of the food. The golden vegetable curry had uncooked veggies and no where close to a good curry, the coconut oil used did not seem right, no flavor nothing. The worst part the rice that came along have never eaten something like that. The pad Thai was just average and nothing impressive. Even a vegetable spring can be disappointing. $48 wasted. Overall never will order from here. We ordered via skip the dishes.

Went back to this restaurant after many years. They've done a nice job with renovating the place and improving the aesthetic and overall ambience. Service was fast and friendly. Food was delicious, but a bit on the milder side of things where it comes to hakka food. This isn't a bad thing at all. Quality of the food is good too. We ordered the sczheuan fish and chilli chicken dry with a fried rice. Overall, a nice place to have a tasty, sit down dinner.

I came here after a friend recommended this place and it was definitely an exceptional restaurant. This isnt your ordinary greasy Hakka place rather the quality of ingredients used here is very good. The chicken was boneless/white meat and all protein, as well as the taste was exceptional. One star missing as I thought the Chilli chicken dish could have had a larger quantity, however we were very satisfied with the pad Thai dish that was ordered. The restaurant itself has ample seating and is furnished nicely. The waiter and owner are ready to take your orders and also showcase exceptional customer service, they are really nice. When I went there, there weren't many people at the restaurant however I'm sure I probably went off peak hours. I do look forward to continuing to come back here again in the near future!

Cashew vegetable dish okay but somewhat bland, had to add chillies to spice it up. Thai tom yum soup fairly tasty. A tad expensive for the portion sizes. Nice atmosphere.

Great place to eat thai cuisine. Would definitely recommend. 10/10. The pad thai is something that you should order. It is the best pad thai you can have in Canada. The quantity and quality is amazing. They are a great host. They provide soul food.

I rarely do reviews these days but this place merits it! Im a foodie and I visited numerous restaurants and this is my favourite Thai and Hakka restaurant, if you want halal this is the place! The food came in less than 5 minutes! It was super fresh and extremely delicious! The owner Anthony can move his restaurant to Dubai and become a millionaire ! Yet thankfully he remains in Mississauga offering us halal food for phenomenal prices and generous quantities! And unlike most restaurants who either serve 80% rice and barely 20% main dish, CHT offers a side of rice included in the main meal! I tried the manchurian beef and Szechuan chicken and I can safely say im coming again tomorrow or after to try other dishes !

04 29 2023 - Saturday (5 Stars): Over review! Got some pictures this time as well. Went with my family here in the afternoon. We started off with a Chicken Hot and Sour Soup. For the mains we had the Chicken Fried Rice and the Captain Ting Chicken. Really good! Love the chucks of peppers and onions. Cost was roughly 50 dollars. Our server was great and always checking in on us. Will come back. 10 Months Ago (4 Stars): Unfortunately I did not get the chance to take a picture of the Chow Mein I ordered here. It had chicken, beef, and shrimp. The food was great! Friendly staff at the front. There POS system was down, but still assisted with other options to complete the transaction (paid cash - about 20 dollars). Not bad!

One of my favourite restaurants of all time and my ultimate go-to for years! Quality of food is great and always maintained, staff are friendly and attentive, and nice atmosphere. Good fusion of Thai and Hakka cuisine, with many options to choose from. This place never disappoints and will definitely visit here again!

Holy, this place went downhill, 100 to 0. We’ve been coming to see this place for two decades, and we’ve always relied on this place to provide savoury, home style Hakka. This time around, it was one of the worst food experiences I’ve had in a while. It looks like the management and potentially the cooks have changed. Even then, the batter on their dry meat dishes are soggy with oil, and their noodles look like cafeteria food where they just dumped a day old Thai sauce. However, their springs rolls felt fresh. The only good thing about the meal. This is definitely not a recommend for me. Stay far from this place until they figure their stuff out.

Tried a variety of dishes for dinner with a bunch of friends: Soups are average and nothing outstanding about them. Tried both hot & sour along with chicken soup. I would rate the quality and taste of the dishes in descending order from the best to average. Captain Tings chicken topped the list Garlic Fish Beef fried rice Fish Manchurian Chicken Manchurian Appetizers were great, had the chicken pakora and chicken lollipop. Service was excellent and reserved table was ready on arrival. It was a little chilly by the door due to frequent opening and closing but the heat was turned on to normalise the temp. Overall good ambience, the restaurant does run small so recommend to plan and book in advance.

It's a little gem of a halal place I must say. Both quality and service are top-notch. They serve both hakka Chinese and Thai cuisine. It's quite a small restaurant, so may not be ideal for a large group. They gave us a free mug as a holiday gift last time we were there.

The food is delicious and the potions are huge. One of the best hakka places in Mississauga. I got egg fried rice, chicken hakka noodles, veg hakka noodles, shrimp, crispy chilli chicken, chilli chicken gravy and chilli paneer. Everything, and i do mean everything was super delicious. Definitely get the crispy chilli chicken or paneer.

I ordered the chili chicken with gravy and Szechuan noodles. The food was absolutely delicious, warm and full of flavour. The service was exceptional and the ambience made this restaurant an amazing experience.

Excellent food and customer service!! The owner and chef Anthony really cares about the customers! Good portioning of the food and the price was reasonable. If you require any customization of the dishes, they will carefully and happily do it for you. We had Pad thai, Tom Yum Soup, and American Chop Suey. They were one of the best ones I had so far. I'm definitely going back again!

Great staff and delicious food. For once my kids ate properly and didn't make a fuss, they loved the chicken chowmein and fried rice .we had invited guests & the chili beef and fried banana ice cream became everyone's favorite. Will definitely be coming back again.

Unbelievable Thai food. Beautiful renovations, this place has been a Thai or Hakka staple in Mississauga for years. The basil chicken is boring but safe option so try something else. The spicy garlic fries are crazy good.

Finally found the best place for Hakka Chinese in the GTA. Loved everything about this restaurant from the food to the service. The food is outstanding, decent sized portions, and freshly made. We tried chilli fish, captain tings chicken and chicken chow mein. Got a cheesecake for dessert. Everything was delicious and the sauces weren’t too overpowering or overly spicy. All items were flavourful with very balanced seasonings. They make everything fresh and yet the food was served very quickly! Customer service is top-notch. The owner was a really nice person and very welcoming. His menu recommendations were spot on! One thing that really stood out was the cleanliness. The place is very cozy and spotless. We will come again to try other items. Highly recommended!!

Awesome Chinese and Thai food. I love Padthai noodles and fried rice, my kids like the chicken corn soup and Shezwan noodles. Very nice and courteous staff, always with a smile. Great ambience for family and friends. This is our favorite Chinese food restuarant.

Worst pad Thai my husband has had, very bland with mushy peanuts nothing crunchy and barely any meat. It's not gross, he ate it but it's just not worth getting. We had takeout, maybe in the restaurant it's better?🤷 We also ordered the chocolate cake from Cheesecake factory, which was bomb!

Tried this place for the first time and had an amazing experience. The place is run by wonderful people that provide great customer service. We ordered their Chinese Chopsuay and Captain Ting Chicken and both things were SO GOOD. Highly highly recommend!!

First time here. No complaints at all. Hostess and cook were very welcoming and friendly. I had a few questions about the chili chicken which the hostess assisted me with. Overall 5/5 great place! We'll be back 👍🏻

Totally recommend this restaurant. It is such a welcoming place. The Coconut Shrimp Soup is amazing, it is the best soup I have had in a while. The Noodles and the Fish Curry are very tasty, not to forget the Jasmine tea 🤤😋
