This restaurant is over crowded and very long wait times, almost all the time I had been there. Not a Dosa fan of this restaurant, but my husband really loves the special veg thali here, every dish tastes yummy!! We both share the meals as it is too much for one person. The service is really quick and staff are very helpful. Please improve your dine in area to accommodate more people.

We wished to visit the restaurant tonight for dinner and so we called ahead. We asked for a reservation at 8 pm and we were told it is first come first serve. We reached before 8 and were told the wait time is 20 minutes. It was a bit cold outside so the we had to sit in the car as we had a kid with us. After about 30 minutes, we got a call to get in. The table was bigger than our party size so that was great. The quality of service and food also was great. Nothing to complain about. The only star I take away is for no option to reserve a table ahead of time and the quantity of sambhar is too low with anything you order. So we had to ask at least 7 times for an extra sambhar. All in all, we made it work and had a good time.

Amazing service and experience! The food was extremely fresh and flavorful. The servers Mansi and Navjot were very personable and ensured we had our food on time and exactly how we preferred to have it. They were so sweet and made the experience so enjoyable. I can totally see why it really is the hottest place in town!

The 3 chutneys they served were really good, the sambar was flavourful and the variety in the meals was also super satisfying. We ordered two different meals, the mini thali was so worth it because of the combination of food they provide in it. The food here has slight spice, which was a welcoming surprise. The coffee deserves a special mention, it was so good. The classical music was so soothing to listen to. A good place to visit for your south Indian cravings. They gave a discount coupon for valentines day, it was lovely. The service here is also really good.

Amazing food with lovely authentic traditional South Indian taste with a unique ambience. There is always a lot of rush so call them first to know tentative waiting time, however; reservations over the phone of web is not available. Must try if you are a genuine Indian taste connoisseur.👏👌👍

The best Madras filter coffee in the neighborhood can be found at this restaurant! It's not just the coffee, though - this is also one of the best places to get authentic South Indian meals and tiffin. Our favorite dishes are the vegetarian meals and Kaima idly. The service is excellent, with friendly servers who always come with a smile and understand the needs of their customers. You'll leave feeling satisfied in both stomach and heart!

Such a wonderful place with delicious South Indian varieties. Great presentation and taste. Beware during the weekends there would be a lil bit of a waiting time. FYI - You don’t need to book a table in advance. You can walk in directly. Rest all is amazing.

This place is always busy though they have ample seating space. The food is good in taste at reasonable prices. Dosas are crispy, idlis are soft and sambar tastes nice. I would suggest to end your meal with a strong cup of filter coffee.

Perfect South Indian food. Ordered thali through Uber and arrived on time. Lots of varieties they have included when ordered thali and the taste was good. Though the taste is exactly not matching their branches in India, it’s still great. Love the food and the way it’s packed.

one of the most liked south indian places so far. The place seemed very busy and due to limited sitting they requested only 45 minutes per table but i was happy to see, they were staffed well who were very friendly. We ordered paper dosa, masala onion dosa, Podi chilli uttapam, rava kesari and Kaima idly which i loved the most. Amazing place for friends and family. It would be really nice if they would start doing prior table reservations and also keep certain dishes like mini tiffins available for dinner as well.

I recently discovered Saravana Bhavan and it has quickly become my go-to place for the best South Indian food in town. This restaurant truly captures the authentic flavors and essence of South Indian cuisine. I highly recommend it to anyone craving a delicious meal. One of my absolute favorites here is the masala dosa. The crispy dosa filled with a flavorful potato masala is simply heavenly. The idlis are soft, fluffy, and melt-in-your-mouth, while the vadas are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The staff is attentive, friendly, and always ready to assist. The prices are very reasonable, you get great value for your money. I’m already looking forward to my next visit.

Went here for the first time and had a great experience. The food was top notch. Ordered a onion podi uttapam and it was great. Chana bhatura was other dish that was superb. The wuantity of sambhar is something that could be improved. Its a very small sambhar plate for dosa or uttapam. Ordered a medu vada and that was also fresh and tasty. The service was fast and seamless. The place was packed but they made sure to get us a table soon and the orders also came out fairly quickly considering the place was packed with customers. Definitely visiting again for south idnian food.

Great taste as expected from the Sarvanaa Bhavan. Have always been their value for taste and value for money. Still the same authentic taste from South India. One of the best Filter Coffee and Mysore Masala Dosa available at the location. The staff is well equipped to manage customers and also customers who are waiting for their turn. Kudos to the Chef and the Staff specially the one who attended us Litta did an amazing job.

We had a great time at Saravanaa bhavan mississauga location , Anna was courteous and a pleasant person who served us, she recommended paneer dosa and it was mind blowingggg!! We also tried the choc dosa my kid loved it, and ofcourse crispy masala dosa was delicious too. We tried the mini idli 14 piece with separateb sambar plate it was full of flavour ! We went a bit late pav bhaji was finished but we will be going back for pav bhaji and rava khichadi! Missed the masala tea we had at scarborough location we were short on time! Overall it was an amazing experience as always. Very nicely managed.

Good Food ,Great ambiance and Service! What else you need from an ideal restaurant.Saravana Bhavan masters the art of spreading south Indian food across the globe 🌎. Superb dosa ,mini idly ,medu vada ,sambhar ,chutney what not . A must try their mini thali that has most of the delicacy and cuisines. And of course a strong cup of coffee in the steel glass takes you back home

The food is usually really good but this time when eating one the dishes I bit into a little rock which was I assume in the mustard seed. I chipped my tooth. Not very happy about that. I didn’t finish my meal because of that. It’s too bad I hadn’t been in a long time so I really was looking forward to it. Generally, this place is amazing especially when you sit and it.

Typical Tamil Nadu flavours with a menu consisting of wide variety of options for dosas and idlis. Tidy place, courteous staff. Must visit if you’re craving for a South Indian meal.

Chocolate Dose 100% best. It was perfect in its crispy level made with nutella and butter. I tried pav bhaji it was also good and rava dosa must try but quantity of sambhar and chatnis was very less. They can cost little more money but should increase size of chatnis and sambhar.

I recently hit up this South Indian joint in Toronto area and let me tell you, it's a total game-changer for dosa lovers like me! This place knows how to serve up the best dosas in town, and I'm here for it! First things first, the menu is stacked with a mind-blowing variety of dosas and other breakfast tiems. From classic Masala Dosa to adventurous Cheese Masala Dosa, they've got it all covered. And let me tell you, each dosa is a work of art. The crispy golden exterior with a perfectly fluffy and flavorful filling is what dreams are made of! But it doesn't stop there, folks. The chutneys and sambar they serve with the dosas are legit fire. The coconut chutney is creamy and packed with flavor, while the tomato and onion chutney adds a spicy kick. And let's not forget the piping hot sambar that's the perfect accompaniment to dunk your dosa in. It's a taste sensation! The service is on point too. The staff is friendly, quick, and always ready to help you navigate through the menu. Plus, the cozy and vibrant atmosphere adds to the overall dining experience.

4.5 We ordered filter coffee, medu Vada , dahi vada(don't have a picture) , lunch thali. All items were amazing. Medu Vada was crispy and hot with nicely balanced sambar and chutney. We had sweet dahi vada with tamarind chutney and nice thick sweet curd. Thali was good, only couple of items were ok in taste rest were tasty.

The forty minute wait time was worth it. Had a craving for thali and satisfied to the fullest. Everything was fresh, prepared well and tasted delicious. Definitely one if the top vegetarian restaurants in the GTA.

Sara Anna Bhavan has been my go to South Indian place for years and the service is always above par. The Dosa's are amazing and the thali's are ok. Don't forget to try their Madras coffee, you won't regret it.

This is my go to place for fresh, delicious dosas!! We've been itching to go since it's been a while due to the pandemic, and who wants to order takeout and get soggy dosas? The wait time can be long, on average 30 mins in the evening. They take your name and number for the waitlist, so just walk around the plaza, do some grocery shopping, browse some toys, or maybe grab some bubble tea, and before you know it, you'll get the call to let you know when it's your turn! The restaurant is always bustling and the servers aren't always the quickest but that's ok because the food comes quickly. Featured is the onion rava dosa and the triple cheese w/ potato dosa. We always get medu vadas to share and their lassis with the meal. Can't wait to go again!

Paper masala dosa had Onions in the masala that was cut & kept very old. And smelling like worst garbage. Then idly was reheated. Not freshly made. And was not at all soft. Worst food ever.

Wonderful vegetarian south indian restaurant. Promptly seated. Excellent service. We normally ask for Natrajan,,the senior server with loads of positive energy and amazing menu knowledge and suggestions. The other servers are very humble and prompt too. Table cleared within seconds. Always checking on the table Quality of food is good, not great. Can always do better. But over all a great experience everytime we come here. Thank you team

There is a 15 mins of wait time during peak hours. They note down the phone number and gave u call. I really appreciate the service and guys working there. Atmosphere is crowded but it is expected. Food was little bit of disappointment compared to the Chennai Saravana Bhavan branch. Onion rava masala dosa and sambar was good, bjt the chutneys are not that good. Filter coffee is always good. Big disappointment was Adai Avial which wasn’t as expected. Both Adai and Avial doesn’t have the authenticity lacking something. We are happy with everything, except for the food.

My second eating here and just as the first time the service was great and the food is so flavourful and tasty! I’ve been here with friends and then took my bf and I can’t say enough nice things about how yummy the food. My bf got the thali and I got the Kara Masala Dosa. Both were impeccable in taste and the staff is so kind and friendly - they checked up on us a couple of times and the experience was touching perfect. Also the Madrass coffee was sooooo good omg best coffee ever!! We had to wait for 20 mins to be seated the only drawback but the food completely makes up for the wait. Highly recommend the flavours of South India 💗

One of the best South Indian restaurant that I like the most overseas. It has 25+ varieties of doses that people can try out. The most famous one anyone new can try is mini tiffin or south meals. Prices are reasonable. Service is also good. There are fresh juice and flavored lassi also available. This is pure vegetarian restaurant.

Nice but busy place to eat Indian veg food. U need to go there and get ur name in the waitlist and wait around to get seat in this place. Been here multiple times. Taste of food is not consistent and changes every single time. Thali items keeps changing every time and the taste too. So to eat veg South Indian meals this is a decent place and average taste that doesn’t disappoint you. But since you are in Mississauga I’m sure you get better food than this.

  • 5/5 Phani R. 2 years ago on Google
We tried 1. Sambar Idly (Dip) 2. Poori Chole 3. Mixed veg Paratha 4. Medu Vadha 5. Curd Vada (Sweet) 6. Cheese Kara Masala Dosa 7. Onion Dosa All the dishes were perfect. However, Mixed-veg Paratha didn't meet our expectations. If I had to select one best dish among these, I would vote for Curd Vada (Sweet), I would definitely recommend this one.

SARAVANA BHAVAN MISSISSAUGA 👍👍 👍 👍 👎🏿 The authentic south Indian vegetarian restaurant in town. The most popular Dosa brand back then. QUALITY OF THE FOOD 👍 we ordered several Dosas, sambar vada not up to the par. Tea and coffee good but mango lessy not great SERVICE👎🏿 Not so so friendly and no smile. Staff has no energy and all looks tired. Customer service has areas of improvements and hope management pay attention. VALUE for MONEY👍 reasonably priced and worth to try if you are looking authentic dosa AMBIENCE & CLEANLINESS👍- Ambience good and cleaning good . LOCATION 👍 middle of mississauga and easy to find and looks new Plaza and new building

Have been their regular customers, but their food quality dropped since 2-3 months. Anytime you visit, they are out of many stuff. We ordered paneer dosa, which was without paneer and filing with onions. Also we ordered thali and they were out of most of stuff for that. Supervisor didn’t seem to be cared. Very disappointed!

The place is decent. The service and staff is good. We ordered - 1. Rava Masala Dosa - it was nice but some taste was missing 2. Idli mendu vada combo - the idli was not fresh 3. Chole Bhatura - served hot and tasty 4. Filter coffee - it was good

A great lunch experience. Authentic taste of South Indian cuisine. Idli was nice and fluffy and the Medu Vadas were fresh and crispy. Also enjoyed the Poori Bhaji and finished my lunch with sweet halwa with hot pooris. Overall a good experience

My biggest mistake to have visited this place with the highly unprofessional and unpleasant staff at first. Ordering is a task and Food was served late and that too leave aside hot it was not even warm, I complained and returned the rava dosa which i had ordered which again too its time to re serve. The worst part now is even after waiting for so long and returning the food it came as a burnt food, the middle part with onions were all burnt and when I complained to one waitress there she hardly showed concern and bluntly said that they make it that way and thats normal that they serve burnt rawa dosa and when i cautioned her that this will go as review on google she just again bluntly said that i can go ahead and do it as it will not matter anyhow. The attitude of the staff is such coz of the volume of customers … apart from this i also found neatness compromised around washing and serving which i have not even mentioned. I recommend an absolute no to this place and anyone with love for burnt food and bad service can very well most welcome to this place.
