We have found this place on booking.com but after our last experiences we wanted to go there at first and after we see hotel and room we will decide if we will stay there. So boy on reception at first said to us that they have only premium rooms and after I said that on booking standard rooms were also available he somehow found also another room. He told us that foreigners have another price and we must pay in dollars because foreigners can’t pay in rupees. We wanted to see this room at first but he said that because of Covid-19 they can’t show rooms before check in. So we took this “very nice premium room” and when we went there we saw that it is on the ground - without balcony with people in swimwear in front of our window. I came back to reception and asked for room with balcony. After all we got it. But when we start to look around we saw so many dirty things in room, bathroom and shower. After one night we left this place and found something more friendly, cheaper and cleaner. We only liked one pool which was looking nice and clean.

The hotel staff were kind and helpful. We had very good service. The hotel itself comes across as a little older. The location is great as you have access to the beach right in front of the hotel pools. The outside pool area is very big boasting 2 pools.

Overall the staff are very attentive and the food was good. Enjiyed breakfast the most. However, certain areas of the hotel and its exterior look old and run down compared to the times we have been there before. Good for a moderately priced family stay.

This really is a wonderful hotel. The staff are all very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I was very happy with my room and enjoyed the view from my balcony of the pool and beach. The location is fantastic as you are right on the beachfront. My booking included the breakfast buffet, which was absolutely delicious. Overall, I had a fantastic time here and would highly recommend this hotel.

The location was good. The rooms and pool are great. The staff is friendly. Atmosphere and privacy are good. Quiet surrounding. Breakfast buffet was good with some choices. The dinner buffet was only Sri Lankan food, variety was missing. But you can ask for an in-room service that has varieties. Not much complaints from the recent trip. Overall a good experience. Budget friendly.

The hotel situated in good location with nice sea view. Staff was friendly and food was average. Room had sufficient space. Few issues I have faced during the stay. That had very limited TV channel out of 17 only seven worked ( three local channels, two sports and one BBC) WiFi network was too poor. Even it was not connected well. Can not reach to e mail at least. I have completed to management several time no proper answer given. Bathroom was no much cleaned. So I can no recommend for long stay.

I visited Camelot Beach Hotel with my family. I must say the staff were friendly, the food was tasty, rooms are a decent and the pools are well disinfected. There are three pools: one large pool, a lounge pool with chairs to relax on and a baby pool. Things to note: I didn't find the room very clean, specifically the washroom it's tiny and there's no hygiene. Also the hotel doesn't have a lift so if your travelling with someone who cannot climb stairs you should call the hotel and request a room in the ground floor. All in all was a great experience other than some minor points that should be taken into account.

We read a few negative reviews of this hotel before booking. Have to say, having stayed I find them hard to justify. Our room (just a standard room) was a good size, large bed, spotlessly clean and no mosquitoes. Service was very good as was the food at the bar. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and we would happily stay here again.

I start the review with my experience. When I be there I confused with some unexpected thing. I had a done my reservation through booking.com based on the photographs on there.when I be there they provide me different room and that not what I expected. But finally they arrange the premium room which I booked after the conversation had with staff. After check-in everything has perfect and they serve us well. I booked the room on fullboard basis and three meals are buffey. All of meals are really good and we enjoyed well.theres have two swimming pools and both of them are deeper as what I expected it's nearly 8-10feet deep and 15-20mtrs long. Specialy it's near to beach and you also can enjoy the place with your family. Mini bar inside there. Also table tennis can play. Nice place to stay in negombo. You better confirm the room and make sure is that what you expected

Our stay was during the last week of May, when Camelot Beach Hotel was run as ICC for Covid patients by Hemas Hospitals. The location was easily accessible and the place was clean. The staff was very friendly and followed the standards established by Hemas to the fullest. The room was quite spacious and comfortable. We had a variety of TV channels to keep us entertained during our stay. The highlight of our stay was the food. During the 8 days we spent there, not a single dish was repeated. The taste was spot on and the presentation of food, especially the dessert was amazing! Chef Roshan and his team ensured that he checks on our likes and dislikes and each and every meal they presented to my daughter was special. They facilitated all our custom requests on and off menu.

My family and I have a stay of 10 days at Camelot beach hotel . The employees were really friendly, helpful, and service at a high level. The rooms were really clean and the food was also good. My mother fell ill on the trip and the staff were really nice and helped to find a doctor for her. Can warmly recommend the hotel to others

Families enjoyed a nice evening. The two rooms we booked were clean, comfortable and modern setting with good amenities. The stewards Supun was very helpful going extra length to provide every assistance, including help for our differently abled son. The sea front and pools space were very scenic and welcoming. The restaurant cum event hall setting was beautiful w and food was delicious. All in all recommend this Negombo beach front hotel for tourists and locals.

Even though it was the new year season we had a pleasant stay for a reasonable price. Peaceful environment with a nice pool, overlooking the sea. The staff was extremely attentive and amicable. Especially Ms.Dulakshi from the front desk was incredibly helpful. All 3 meals were wide spread buffet & the food was delicious. Especially the meat dishes & the dessert. The room was clean with a large balcony. The Washroom was comparatively undersized. Highly recommended for a getaway.

I visited to the Camelot Beach Hotel with a friend this Christmas (24th December 2022) I chose the bed and breakfast option. In the morning they had arranged a buffet for the guests. Food variety was not enough, Many dessert varieties were also not available. There was only fruit. While we were eating, some waiters would come to the table from time to time for no reason, which was quite annoying. But overall the staff is friendly. On this occasion, I should especially mention “DULAKDHI” who works at the reception. She has very good hospitality and she treated us flexibly. There are three pools and pools are well disinfected. And neat rooms with large balconies. Things to note: Especially the toilet is tiny and lacks hygiene. Also, if you are traveling with someone who cannot climb stairs as the hotel does not have an elevator, you should call the hotel and request a room on the ground floor. Overall, it was a great experience apart from a few things to note.

We spent the first night of a Sri Lanka round trip at the Camelot Beach Hotel. A very nice, well-kept facility, neat rooms with large balconies. Pool and outdoor area were also very nice. Breakfast buffet was varied, both continental and typical Sri Lankan food, all very tasty.

Overall, a positive experience. For the price they charge, room service should be improved. Breakfast and lunch are better compared to dinner. They have less food varieties for the price.

This hotel is a five star hotel which is located in negombo, near browns beach. It is one of the largest hotels near there. Lots of tourists are attracted to this hotel due to its location and the services. The hotel's 142 rooms offer a serene and comfortable escape from the hustle of daily life. Each well-equipped room features a private balcony with views of the refreshing ocean or picturesque gardens. The modern amenities provided in the room include air conditioning, satellite TV, coffee/tea making facilities, and a mini-bar. The rooms are well-maintained and offer guests a comfortable stay. However, some rooms show signs of aging, and a renovation might be necessary to bring a more modern look to the spaces.

The hotel's beach access is sure to take your breath away as you step onto the powdery sands and immerse yourself in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. We stayed there twice and the staff are very helpful and accommodating. The resort is a bit secluded and it has no neighboring resort so it's like you have the whole beach to yourself. We're also lucky that we got to free the sea turtles that day. Overall stay was awesome!

I just went for a dip in the pool, pool tickets available for 1500/- and if with buffet lunch it is 4000/- Pools are maintained nicely, beach beds are good, boys are very helpful. Public areas are managed well. The spa is good, for a 60min massage it costs 35/-US and great.

We arrived at the hotel during the daytime and were warmly greeted by the reception with a welcome drink, which was a refreshing treat after a long 23-hour flight. Initially, we were assigned a room on the 2nd floor, but it turned out to be inconvenient due to our baby stroller. Upon requesting it, we were immediately transferred to a room on the 1st floor without any issues. The reception truly impressed us with their service-oriented approach. The room might have been slightly worn, but nothing that warranted complaints. It was spacious and comfortable. The hotel boasted three pools – one for children and two for adults. We appreciated the presence of guards who ensured we had towels and kept a watchful eye. We opted for the full-board package and did not regret it. The food was fantastic, and both the menu and buffet offered an impressive variety. I must especially commend the restaurant staff. They consistently looked after us and were incredibly pleasant. Overall, the experience was extremely positive.

Clean beautiful hotel right on the water just outside of Colombo, great place with friendly wonderful staff who all speak English. What a pleasant surprise and breakfast buffet is huge with so many options and super fresh. We also had a great 4 course dinner here, was well worth the money.

I stayed at Camelot Beach Hotel in my last days in Sri Lanka. I wanted to book a hotel next to the beach, to still catch some sun before heading home. And a hotel which is near to the airport. They offer to book an airport taxi and everything was super easy while checking in and out. + in-house Massage: they offer massages in the hotel. I had an Indian head massage and it was absolutely amazing. It was the perfect relaxation before a long period of traveling home again. + the service was friendly and the rooms were clean. - they offer a buffet for breakfast. The fruits seem very fresh but everything else is not really spectacular. I expected more. - the hotel is directly next to beach. If you exit the hotel and want to take a walk at the beach, 2-3 men are heading, nearly running, to you and want to offer you a lot of rubbish you should buy. Also when lying at the pool, they speak through the fences which is very annoying and destroys the peace. HUGE NO-GO! - the area around the hotel is not that cool and a lot of people are talking with you when just walking through the city which is a bit annoying too. I would recommend the hotel only for a short stay.

Location is ok. The staff is friendly and the pool Is nice. Food is a ok. Eat much better throughout Sri Lanka for much cheaper price. Apparently there is an old and new part. Make sure you book the coastal room. We booked for same price the deluxe garden view room which was in the old building. This was way overpriced! Molt everywhere, didn’t look clean, room look outdated. For what you pay it’s really not worth it.

I stayed 2 nights here before returning home because it is close to the airport and has a great beach side location. The service is fantastic and all the rooms are spacious and clean with a sea ( and sunset ) view. The pools and beds are also spotless. I had great food and fresh juices. The spa service is first class and in a lovely setting in the hotel garden. Around the hotel are good value restaurants including two close by right on the beach but this isn't a swanky resort - just a nice little Sri Lankan town of small family places.

I had some issues with my room key which may have pushed me towards a more meh experience. First night in after arriving quite late and tired we couldn't get into the room and this delayed us until housekeeping could use their master key. Then the next day the updated key stopped working again so it was another trip to reception to try and solve it. Other than that I can't complain, pools were great and they were a very good temperature. Staff were always welcoming and the food in the restaurant wasn't too pricey with an okay selection.

What a lovely stay it was❤️. Had a wonderful time & the service provided by the entire staff was absolutely phenomenal. I'm so impressed with the entire staff and especially I would like to Thank and appreciate Dulakshani/Bositha at the Front Desk, GRO on duty - 17.11.2023 (Cannot recall her name) and Anthony - Manager on Duty for their genuine care during my stay. Nice to see the staff going an extra mile to serve their guests and making their stay a memorable one. Yes ! the hotel really value for money and would like to highly recommend and will return back in future when I'm back to Sri Lanka next time🙂

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Camelot Beach Resort in Sri Lanka, and it exceeded all expectations. The beachfront location is a tropical paradise, offering stunning views and serene vibes. The staff's hospitality was exceptional; they were attentive, friendly, and always ready to assist. The rooms were clean and comfortable , providing a cozy retreat after a day of exploration. The resort's culinary offerings were a highlight – a delightful mix of local and international cuisines, prepared to perfection. The resort's commitment to guest satisfaction was evident in their efforts to create a perfect stay. I highly recommend Camelot Beach Resort to anyone seeking a luxurious and rejuvenating getaway. A heartfelt thank you to the entire Camelot team for making our stay truly exceptional.

We had a one night stay in one of the newer rooms (and I highly recommend booking them, worth the money to be in the new building). The bed was extremely comfortable and being on ground floor we could directly access the (very clean) pools. Towels for pool are provided. The breakfast buffett was very rich and exceeded our expectations. Our room had a little moldy smell. Yes, this hotel isn't the newest but I think it is very good value!

Fantastic stay. Neat clean organised room with all amenities. Short stroll to shops and restaurants. Right on beach front for great fishing culture experience. Wonderful staff from kitchen, reception to housekeepers. Food is mind blowing good and authentic with very sanitary practice's. Easily able to reach out for help and staff were well coordinated for troubleshooting. They do have lift so ask reception if mobility is an issue.

Located in a area that is easy to access, with many things to do. Their rooms, quality, facilities and mostly friendly staff are above all stars you can think of. Excellent view of beach which is very vide and inviting for a game of beach volleyball or a stroll. Lovely pool with a pool bar. Nice and cozy rooms. Only drawback is that the pool wing doest have an elevator but 2 stories is not much of a stress for a young at heart. Owners are very concerned about everything that is needed by you and will go beyond that extra mile to keep you happy and your stay enjoyable. Highly recommend for a cozy stay with good quality food and very friendly staff and excellent service

One of my favourite hotels in sri lanka. It's the best place to start your trip being close to the airport and a great place to end it. The rooms are really nice, spotless, the people that work there from the room cleaning, grounds, bar, pool, restaurant, front desk are amazing, sweet, helpful and such friendly people I love the jewelry store they have beautiful pieces and are the nicest to deal with. Very honest .great prices with no pressure sales love them all.

We chose camelot for a day out on 2021 Christmas. Booked the package with a double room, dayout package and the room rate is very very reasonable. Starting from - the reception very helpful and kind staffs - welcome drink is okay as usual like other hotels - the main party feel is started from the lunch buffet which had a great set of tasty and variety of foods. A large calm area to have a wonderful and peaceful lunch with the family or your loved one. Soup, starters, main buffet, bbq, desserts all were damn awesome. - pool time was great, a nice view of the sunset on a clean and largen deep pool - tea and cake is okay, better if they can increase the quality of the tea. Staffs are very kind and helpful. Outdoor & pool area is very beautiful and clean. Room is also clean and a spacious area with all needed items. Overall had a great memorable holiday.. Thank you for the service
