If I could give 0 stars I would. Filthy facility, unprofessional staff who are disrespectful and rude, and broken equipment throughout the club. No hooks in shower to hang towels and no soap. Facility has changed their names multiple times to avoid a bad rep… stay far away!! Better off going to a $10 gym like planet fitness.

They will gladly take your money. Good luck trying to cancel your membership. I was told that is all i had to do was call and cancel, now they hang up on me when I ask to cancel or for anyone that I can talk to about it. I am now forced to contact the BBB and reverse all charges from this horrible company. As for the gym, it is in constant construction. The layout and "new" showers are horrible. The pool is never clean and the equipment and pads on the equipment is in poor condition. The weight machine choices are very poor as well as the free weight selection. I am giving them a 1 star because I can't give them zero stars.

This is a review of Redwood Personal Training that operates at Elements Fitness Centers. I was a member at the West Eugene Elements. I paid in full for personal training for a year. Used 10 sessions before Elements closed. They will not issue a refund. DO NOT PAY IN FULL FOR TRAINING. I would go to Oakway, but it's 50 minutes round trip. Also, they don't pay their trainers well. I heard they get $10 per 1/2 hr. session, when Redwood charges $45.

Gym doesn’t have any special features besides swimming pool and hot tub. You can literally pay the same amount (or less depending on how often you go) for a gym membership with Eugene Rec (Echo hollow pool, Sheldon, Amazon, etc) which one pass is good for all those locations and some have gym and pool. The layout of the elements gym isn’t the best and they aren’t really good about informing members about activity or gym changes.

Friendly staff and great amenities yet the cleanliness of the place and equipment maintenance has leaves much to be desired. The only cleaning I have seen staff complete is removing garbage and hanging up locker room mats. I've been on multiple days and hours throughout the week and have never seen staff disinfecting, sweeping, mopping, etc. the place clearly smells and looks unkempt. The men's locker room, I don't believe has ever been sanitized. It's almost an anomaly that I haven't got a staph infection or some other disease due to the amount of time I've spent using the facilities. The steam rooms in multiple locations have been down for several months now with no estimate for completion which is unfortunate as that is one of the main reasons for beginning my membership. If I don't see a marked improvement in both the cleanliness and maintenance of the multiple locations within the next few weeks, I will be canceling my membership.

This is a review for Elements Health Club -Oakway. Specifically, I talked to the manager, Melissa Hillsman (Hillsman seems to be the last name, judging from the email address). I am posting this review to multiple Elements Health Club locations, because they are one company. What happened to me might happen to other clubs as well. So I need to let people in other locations know about how they conduct their business unprofessionally and potentially, unethically. I was a member in 2021. Then I needed to relocate to CA. I talked to the front desk girl at the Elements Health Club -Oakway location. I was told that I could freeze my account without incurring any fees. I have had it with some clubs, e.g. LA Fitness, and they do that. So I trusted their words and signed the form. This is an important detail because if I was under any impression that they were going to charge me money in the future, I would have just quitted the membership all together. So starting April 2022, they started to charge my bank account. I don't receive any notice, no email, no text, just started to withdrawing money. I would have not noticed it for a long time if I did not do an audit of my bank account. I called them and talked to the manager, Melissa Hillsman. I was shown a copy of the form for freezing my account, which is very vague at its best. The freeze form itself did not specify what would happen after the freeze period ends. I think it is the responsibility for a professional business to explicitly warn a customer that there would be a charge. The fact that no such explicit warnings on a form is questionable by itself. What's more, I don't even think I was given a paper form to sign anyway (I cannot remember exactly). I think I was told about the terms and then I only signed on the signature terminal pad. If you have been to any of their Eugene locations, they would talk to you, and they have an electronic pad for you to sign the name. Melissa asked me to write down my opinions about the issue and send it to her. It has been a week and I never heard anything back. I guess they just do not care. But at least I can share my story with other people in the community. Be aware.

It's a pity that a lot of your things are broken. Today, absolutely sweaty, the man went down to wash himself in the pool, after such an incident I can no longer swim well in your pool, the shower in the pool has been broken for a very long time. I am very upset that the second steam room does not work due to the fact that the door is broken. very very sad.

Downright the nastiest looking and smelling gym I been in. Like how does it smell like the locker room a floor and a half up. Not to mention you have to pay money to leave and not smell the sweaty armpits when you decide to cancel the membership. Thanks for the enrollment fee, the charge per month, and the charge to leave. This buisness has no idea how to keep its customer but are experts at retaining odors.

Beware!!!! There’s a lot of negative reviews for a reason! First off, There are so many better gyms in Eugene than this place!!!! But Truck stops have cleaner bathrooms than this gym! The pool and spa is nasty, I would rather swim in the kiddie pool at splash. On top of it, Bad management and customer service. I would bet money on them not an answering the phone or calling you back any time of the day. MORE IMPORTANTLY….This place has changed its name and management over the years and thats always the 1st red flag. THERE’S GOOD NEWS THO! Your local rec centers are better than this place if you’re looking for a pool and gym. Pursue or even Planet fitness are better options if you’re just looking for a gym without a dirty spa. Take the 7 day trial and you’ll see for yourself.

I don't usually write reviews, but I would completely steer clear of this 'work out' facility. They workout equipment is completely dirty and gross. Pay the extra amount each month to go somewhere else, trust me it's worth it.

Joined this gym recently due to the proximity, and the very nice location, however my experience has been less then impressive. This is one of the dirtiest gyms I have ever been a member at, and it is not even close. The bathrooms are taken care of like they are bathrooms you would find at a highway stop on I-5, and the ceiling in the weight room looks like it is going to come down any second. Trash cans are overflowing with paper towels, and it looks as though the bathrooms upstairs/downstairs get cleaned at a MAXIMUM once a week. The gym has wayyy too many members to not be have a staff member dedicated to cleaning these facilities on a consistent basis. If OSHA came out for whatever reason and did an inspection, it would get shut down in seconds! Discusting!

I have had a membership here for several years. The facilities are good and I enjoy visiting here three to four times a week. I believe it contributes to my good health!

Though the interior is a bit dated, Oakway Elements has a full suite of free weights, machine weights and aerobic equipment - not counting the stationary bicycles, which need to be repaired! Plenty of classes. Not too crowded. Friendly staff. Clean locker room. Looking forward to trying out the pool.

Hello health nuts!! I decided after 2 years of not going to the gym since covid. I decided To return to elements. To my surprise they helped me out with premium membership at 39.99...then I decided to get serious about getting back into shape when I met with Nathan and Kieth who are personal trainers. These two are an amazing team, they sat with me and asked me my goals, then developed a plan to get there. Then they coached me on a half hour workout encouraging me, it felt good to have someone pushing me and holding me accountable to my goals. Then they worked with me for my goal to fit my budget. I walked away feeling I did something for myself, my future and my health and feeling supported. I want to add that the new manager, Melissa is cool and from what I see a good leader. So check out what Elements has to offer, I'm glad I did... Paul the yoga guy is cool too.💪

A good gym with everything you'd want in a membership. Classes, trainers, weight room, stretch area, cardio area, pool, sauna room, & steam room. All the amenities are great. However, if something breaks, it will likely not ever be fixed. Like the stair-master, which has been broken since I joined last year. Very sad.

I was nervous to join for all the typical reasons. When I stepped in I was greeted warmly and registration was easy. All of the clientele I have encountered are just regular people and really friendly. I also took advantage of the free check-in with a trainer. Nathan was incredible. I felt very comfortable and it was easy to be honest about my goals. He wasn't pushy about "signing up" to work with a trainer, which allowed me time to make sure I was committed. Cost options are certainly helpful. My introductory session really opened my eyes to the possibilities of what I could do. Frankly, I avoided the weight room machines and now I am really excited to use them.

I have enjoyed going to this gym consistently since at least 2011 until Covid hit. I also invested in the most recent building remodel and was given a Lifetime Membership. Now I hear the gym has sold and the new owners will not be honoring the promised Lifetime Memberships. To say I'm disappointed is a huge understatement. I'm left with no choice but to find another workout alternative.

Bought out elements of health. Reactivated my account after 6 months of having it frozen(informed it would be cancelled after 6) charged me 2 months and annual fee total of $160. When asking for a refund, the “OWNER” says the gym is owned by “NOBODY” and she doesn’t have the jurisdiction to provide one. Has the old email to my account. (I have emails from the day I froze it on my new one) looked through the contract together, she didn’t know what the contract says, and nowhere does it say it will deactivate or activate account after 6 months. A whole lot of misinformation and upcharging from a small, mid quality gym, with dirty facilities

I like the friendly atmosphere from the staff & other members. I don't feel intimated or uncomfortable in the weight room, there are no muscle heads, just regular people like me training to meet personal goals. Looking forward to the completion of the remodel. Please carry & display a line of men's & women's workout clothing with the "Elements" logo, long-sleeved tshirts, sleeveless, tank tops, shorts, pants etc.all sizes for members to purchase. Good advertising for the fitness center. Also, bring boxing back to your Oakway location.

My husband and I have been working out here for a few months now and feel that the gym offers everything we could want for the price — cardio equipment, free weights, pool, a variety of classes, etc. It is affordable and convenient with good hours and friendly staff. I have had amazing luck with their personal training too! I pay for one session a week and the manager, Keith, was able to get me paired with an absolutely wonderful trainer, Chase, that pushes me towards my goals! It has been such a positive experience and has made going to the gym much more enjoyable.

I would not sign up here. They can't keep their jacuzzi and steam room working on a weekly basis. Some emoyees don't bother to show up to open the place and they don't care. Elements will not answer questions or complaints. Go to Planet fitness or willamalane or Sheldon pool. Events yse to be a 5 star place when it was operated as iakwat spa.

The staff at this gym are friendly, and the price is fair, however the facilities are absolutely disgusting and require attention. The roof has been leaking in the weight room in multiple locations for over a year, and all that management has done is place trash cans under the leaks to catch the drip. The locker room is moldy, and has been under "construction" for nearly a month and a half. The weight room is always out of order, and you can tell this place never gets cleaned. This management NEEDS to invest into their facilities. Members are cancelling their memberships because of how disgusting the gym has become, and the new ownership has done NOTHING to address the issues. Why not invest into a professional cleaning service once in a while, and take care of members, instead of focusing all of the attention on selling personal/group training bundles and trying to make money off of members? Hope these issues get addressed soon. This place is falling down hill FAST.

This gym has many rooms and a great layout, I'd recommend it to hobbyists, and serious lifters. Oh and the staff were pretty accommodating. All n all a quality place I'd say.

Would give 0 stars if I could!! Hands down the WORST gym in the Eugene/Springfield area. It’s run down, old, and the facility itself is dirty. Better off paying $10 at plant fitness with new equipment!

My favorite gym and still is after over a decade. Nice set up and friendly staff. It's affordable too! I recommend the premium membership it is with it! Would be 5 stars if they had private showers but there very much like highschool showers 😂

I’ve found this place to be not week kept up. The pool is cloudy, which means they aren’t keeping up with the chemistry right. They don’t clean locker rooms well. Handles falling off the showers and no soap. I’ve had multiple occasions when they run out of towels to clean off the equipment after use, so who knows how clean things are really. Worst, for me, was then general apathy to the situation by singer of the staff.

My girlfriend and I met with Christian for our personal training consultation yesterday. He was amazingly friendly and enthusiastic! He provided us with lots of information in an easy to follow format. He also did a variety exercise session with us himself to help evaluate our starting abilities and set goals for us. We are set up for the next year with an additional 4 months to use our training sessions as we payed in full.We are excited to meet our female trainer and experience our first session Friday afternoon! Thank you again Christian!

Christian at Redwood Personal Training was so helpful in putting a program together for me which involved nutrition, diet and exercise. He took time to explain the workout equipment and how each would benefit me the most. I have nothing but praise for the team there. professional trainers
