Finally got a chance to check out the Thirsty Lion for Happy Hour and I wasn't disappointed. Quite a crowd for a Thursday evening. They have a large indoor space and two patios. The west patio is larger overlooking the Glade Parks common gardens. The south patio faces the Aloft hotel and is small dog friendly. Even though somewhat busy my server was friendly and quick. Happy hour provides a dollar or few off regular appetizers pricing and draft beer and select wine and cocktails. Food is varied and all I ordered came out hot and delicious. Tried the Spicy Fried Cauliflower, Spicy Chicken Sliders, and the California Roll accompanied by a Cab Sauv and dark beer. Enjoyed the experience.

I went to Thirsty Lion two times last week. I ate dinner on Friday evening and brunch on Saturday morning. For dinner I had the cheeseburger and an appetizer of nachos. The dinner food was good but nothing amazing in particular. I decided to come back and give the restaurant another try. The brunch was a lot better! I got the Huevos Rancheros and my fiancé got the French toast. I would definitely recommend coming here for brunch but not so much for dinner. Overall taste of brunch food 8.5/10, dinner food 6/10, price 7/10, ambience 6.5/10. Solid 4 star Would recommend for brunch

This is a really nice spot, it was spacious, with lots of tables, the food was great and the desserts were amazing! The service was also quite good. I really enjoyed this experience and can't think of any negative sides to it. I tried the steak and it was perfectly cooked, the fries were terrific as well! Definitely recommend trying this place out

This was a great find. The happy hour has a great menu and drink selection. 6 appetizers and 2 drinks for $66. The food was excellent. I recommend the Ahi poke stack and the oven soft baked pretzel. The sliders and the salmon cakes are phenomenal. The staff was great and the music was excellent. I highly enjoyed this restaurant.

All the food was delicious! Generous portions and great flavors. Server was friendly and got everything correct but didn't check on the table very often.

The food is wonderful here, and the service is awesome. One of our party (an 8 year old girl) ordered a dish that was a little too spicy for her taste. Within moments of asking, we had a glass of milk for her! Another dish was prepared promptly. Thank you so much for your excellent service. Side note: the rest of the group fought over her "spicy" dish, so it did not go uneaten!

Chill place.... food was super hot & fresh. Our waitress was very attentive I think her name was Mitzyra or close to that. Queso comes steaming hot in a cast iron dish. The smoked turkey club is fresh and cooked right, id suggest asking for an extra side of it's sauce tho.

Shopping center, pub-like restaurant in Bedford, Texas serving beer, mixed drinks, and food. We ordered beer, the basic cheeseburger, and the fried calamari appetizer. The beer and burger were good. The fries that came with the burger were over-salted. The fried calamari (squid) was okay, but we were disheartened when we saw how small the portion was for $10.

Great food. I had the Jalapeño Pepper Jack Burger, and it was great. Mother had the Fish and Chips the second time were where here and Ahi Tuna Bowl the first and enjoyed them both. Great service as well.

I absolutely loved my food and my server, Alex! Everything was fantastic & served fresh. Please try the Ramen bowl and the bacon wrapped prawns 100/10! I will be back.

The food was excellent! I got the smoked pork ramen and that pork was out of this world! Beer and cocktail selection was pretty decent, the creme brulee was plated beautifully, and Andre my server was super friendly and helpful without being overbearing. Made sure to get my order in 2 mins before happy hour, which was appreciated, and didn't forget anything or leave me waiting for anything. Great experience all around!

i've been here twice and the food has been excellent both times. great places to watch a game and have some good food. Last time tried the Reuben sandwich and it was tasty. Had the Poke bowl prior and that was excellent as well. a little slow service at the bar area, i'd grab a regular table for better service next time. overall very good though, will go back!

This one is hard, our waitress was outstanding, legit the best thing about the experience was that Addison is very personable and sweet. Unfortunately, my food was a big disappointment, as well as my drink. The Mac and cheese with the fried chicken was a smaller portion than I expected for 17 dollars, the Mac and cheese wasn't great, but at least the very small portion of fried chicken that was in there was tasty. I ordered a Moscow mule, and it was the most mediocre one I've ever had, which is heart breaking at 10 bucks. I'll probably never be back.

Service is great, loved sitting outside in the porch area watching children play with the fountain water with their parents. However I had the Kung Pao Chicken and it was heavily laden with salt and ultimately couldn't finish it. My wife had Orange chicken that was much better, that is why your getting 4 stars

We've been living in HEB for about 3 years and we finally got a chance to check in out. It was amazing!!! On a nice day, a seat on the patio is the best way to go. The menu was a great surprise, they had so many different options to chose from. Everything was good. The drinks, the food, the staff, the atmosphere. This will for sure be a regular place for us from here on out.

My best friend and I use this as a meet up spot for birthday or Christmas brunches. We've used the patio seating, which has been perfect for us. They have screens and heaters in winter, and there's plenty of shade and fans for summer. Wait staff are friendly and attentive every time, and drink options are great. We tend to split the mimosa carafe, and it's plenty. The food is good too. Only issue I've had is parking. This area gets crazy busy on weekends, and it can be hard to find a parking space.

The food and service was great! My burger with bacon jam was delicious. Unfortunately this area caters to entitled idiot parents that let kids run wild. I know this isn’t 100% the restaurants fault but think they could curb the behavior with a little effort. Not sure why everyone is so afraid to tell people their kids are being disruptive to other guests.

Had several plates here before, but this time was the Gochujang Boneless Pork Rib with Kimchi Fried Rice. Nice plate, good presentation, I wish the rice was just a little crispy, but overall a good plate. Fish and chips still takes the top spot as the best item on the menu, but this one is worth trying. Decent little craft beer selection too.

Our first time to visit the Thirsty Lion and it was a great experience. Wonderful food, Szechuan orange chicken and Gastropub Burger with maple glazed bacon. Our server's name was Addison and she was the best!

Stopped in for an early evening snack and were pleasantly surprised by how good the entire experience was. The biggest highlights of the meal were definitely the Spicy Fried Chicken Sliders and Ahi Poke Stack. Both dishes were very tasty, with the sliders being nice and crunchy without being too oily or crispy and the poke having a great mix of flavors/textures. The Sautéed Brussels Sprouts were a good side dish, but nothing overly special. Unfortunately I can’t say the same for their fries, which tasted fairly soggy and felt like we got the rough scraps of the potatoes that were used. For dessert, we shared a Creme Brulee. There wasn’t anything unique about this one, but it was just a very solid and well done dessert. The service was a little slow throughout, but they were definitely on the busier side and had two larger parties as well. All in all, a pretty good spot to enjoy watching sports and get some great food at the same time.

Excellent. Worth a try if you are near by. The Mac and cheese was delicious. This was the first time I have tried scotch eggs, so I do not have anything to compare it to...but they were very good! . Update. We returned 7 months later for brunch. So. Damn. Good.

Great atmosphere! Amazing food. It tasted wonderful. I had the grilled salmon crab cake! It was on the seasonal menu. Can't wait to go back!

The appetizer was very delicious now the Asian dish it was way off it had a burnt taste on the meat and the smoke chicken Cesar salad was disgusting the meat was very cold. The salad tasted like the salad was old and sour. The wait staff were shorthanded and then the management was blaming the salad on me I will not be attending this restaurant anymore.
