Made a last minute reservation for a room on New Year’s Eve and had such a wonderful stay here. Rooms are well equipped and clean and the beds are very comfortable. I wanted a double bed instead of twin beds and they were so accommodating and immediately arranged for this! The bathrooms are also very clean and well stocked. I also had breakfast here the next day and it was delicious. Continental breakfast is offered alongside a cooked breakfast and everything is freshly made. I would definitely stay here again if I was in the area! Despite being near the roads, it is very quiet and relaxing.

A superb location next to the green. When it is described as dog friendly, that's exactly what it means. Nothing is too much trouble for the most helpful of staff who were always smiling. The food is fabulous with a varied and extensive menu. The bar is well stocked with a wide range of beers, lagers, wines and spirits. Myself, my wife and our dog will be back soon. Forgot to mention our accommodation which was clean, comfortable, huge double bed, large flat screen tv and large en suite. Congratulations Duke's Head.

Been visiting the Dukes Head for a few years now, and with Natalie and Neil running things its easily the best pub in the area. Great selection of beers, gins and wine and the food is outstanding. All the staff are helpful and even on very busy Sunday's they'll do their best to find you a table for lunch if you've not booked. Its a good sized pub with great outdoor areas to just sit with a drink in the sun, as well as 4 newly refurbished wooden huts with comfy seating for a more intimate get together or just somewhere nice to relax. If you're looking for good pub, with great food, a nice atmosphere and family friendly, you'd struggle to find a better pub! 5 Stars!

Extremely over priced for a much less than average sirloin steak, very tough and chewy. Mentioned to the waitress how tasty but tough and chewy it was, she just replied, not with any sincerity "sorry to hear that ". Very disappointed.

Had a fantastic 3 day stay including our dog Lola who was made very welcome. All staff were friendly, polite and very helpful. Would highly recommend this hotel to all who ask.

The roast are really good! Big portions, hot and tasty. My only reason for not rating 5/5 is because the pudding menu wasn’t great. That’s the only flaw in my opinion as there wasn’t a chocolate brownie or a sticky toffee pudding, other than that we had a good time and a good roast.

Awesome hotel. Great location, lovely rooms, really nice staff. Price very competitive as well. Will definitely stay again.

Been here many many times for Food and Drink and we highly recommend it! The food is excellent! We especially love the Sunday Roasts but above all else the sticky toffee cheesecake!! (If you have room!!) Lovely staff and service. Only very minor point would be to have a little more choice on the main menu.

We were guests at a party, with an open bar. The bar staff charged guests instead of putting on the tab. What wast clear, is whether non guests had drinks on the tab. They should have segregated the bar better. Food was reasonable.

Been here a couple of times now, once for drinks and once for a Sunday roast. Both times were excellent. Super friendly and fast service. Dog friendly. Tvs in certain areas of the bar. There's a pub section and a restaurant section (no dogs in restaurant section). Free dog treats. The Sunday roasts were particularly incredible. I had the Fat Duke (mix of pork, chicken and beef) and it was honestly fantastic. 10/10 recommend

I booked 2 rooms for visiting family and they were very happy with their stay. I also booked a meal for 15 people. The service was good, I don't know how others viewed the menu but I was uninspired by it, but that could just be me!

I stayed on my own for one night whilst visiting friends locally. Six of us met in the bar for drinks and ate in the restaurant. I cannot fault my stay everybody from reception to bar & waiting staff was welcoming and efficient. The food was very good and quickly served it was a Wednesday night so not particularly busy.

An amazing hotel highly recommended ,amazing staff with lovely attitudes, great service and its a truly old-fashioned family feel in a modern beautiful way. Hope this helps but our family cannot say enough good about our multiple stays at the Dukes Head Wallington💚

We as a family recommend this hotel with all our hearts , the staff are very family oriented and the food is wonderful,. I am reluctant to name any staff in particular as everyone here are amazing from the room tendants to the bar staff butI have to give a special shout out to Neil and Natalie as they run a tight but very friendly ship, you need to come and see for yourselves...

Amazing food and affordable price! I regretted i didnt make a reservation for Sunday brunch, but they still accommodate us in a small semi self severed area. Would definitely come back again! And very clean toilet too😊

We booked a dinner on a Sunday, however the staff seemed too busy to acknowledge us and when they did they were quite abrupt. We were then seated right by the kitchen in draught, the waiters kept stabling over my chair because there just wasn't enough room around the table. We ordered a roast dinner which was good but considering the price (not a cheap meal) we only got 3 potatoes each which certainly is not enough. Will likely not coming back.

Happened upon this friendly establishment out on a cycle ride. Great coffee, DH enjoyed a triple bacon sandwich and I had the best treat ever - a delicious GF and vegetarian sandwich made with the best GF bread I've ever had! Friendly, efficient staff. Clean toilets. Outdoor seating with room for our bikes

Great rooms with lovely food in the pub and friendly staff. The only negative is that the bathroom has nowhere to put your wash bag. Only a small thin shelf that houses the towels, loo rolls and the sink. But other than that we love staying here and have stayed regularly.

I love the Duke’s Head. I stay here every time I travel to the London area. The rooms, the food, the location are great, but the best is the people working there. You can’t beat the friendliness and Customer Service. They treat you like family. Highly recommended.

The Dukes Head is by far our favourite local Especially since it’s been taken over by Natalie and her fabulous team. The food absolutely is delicious - we have sampled breakfast, lunch and dinner and have never been disappointed - and it feels really reasonably priced. The staff are always so friendly and the service has always been brilliant. The pub (and toilets) are always spotless which I feel is a representation of the pride and effort that goes into the running of that place. And to top it off their gin list is amazing! Would massively recommend The Dukes Head Wallington!

Without a doubt the best pub in the area. Fab food, amazing service. Wonderful garden area. We hosted a small farewell gathering and I was so grateful for the teams friendliness and hospitality.. even being so gracious to provide private space allowing the kids to enjoy themselves. Could not recommend more. We are moving away from the area and I hope to find another local as good as this.

My dad stayed here while visiting us. We took him up to his room when he checked in. While we didn’t stay in the room with him, we saw that the facilities were all very nice including a lovely bathroom and coffee machine in the room. The room had an air con unit available although it looked a bit dates and he did have some issues with it dripping at night. Check in and check out processes were very smooth and he enjoyed the breakfast the next day

This hotel and staff are wonderful. The rooms were clean, up to date, and very comfortable. The restaurant was wonderful and the pub was perfect. But the best was the staff....Theresa at the front desk was truly a blessing and everyone else helped make our stay perfect. Thank you so much. We will definitely be back! You all were the best!

We had a wonderful stay at the Duke’s head. We had a two day stop over as part of our trip. The food was very good and the breakfast was, just the right size and there was plenty of choice. Due to issues with our flights, our cases where delayed. We arranged for our cases to be sent the hotel. The staff dealt with everything for us. The staff where amazing throughout our stay, nothing was too much trouble.

The Dukes Head Wallington is a timeless yet contemporary pub at the heart of the community. Combining its historic architecture and Young’s heritage with fantastic modern food and drink, the pub is, by far, the superior offering in an area with a rich abundance of pubs. From a post-work pint on a Friday to a hearty Sunday roast, Natalie and Neil are the perfect hosts that bring a smile to every visit.

Having recently stayed at the Duke’s Head with my wife for a weekend visit to London for Wimbledon, this place is a little gem. The staff were fantastic, Neil and Theresa, to name a few, were so helpful and obliging during our time there. Fantastic value for money, great food on offer, ideally located to travel around by public transport and without spending silly money on over inflated hotel prices just to be close to the event. Well done guys, great customer service from start to finish, we certainly would have no hesitation with staying here again.

Met friends for a Sunday breakfast. Very friendly staff. Cooked options were all very well presented and cooked nicely. Small area to help yourselves to toast, cereal, yoghurt, juice ect. I think it was good value for money and would hope to return soon.

Stayed here a couple of times now with work. Really nice hotel to stay in, ye olde type, with friendly staff. Room actually had a bath which is getting rare these days. The breakfasts are something really special I have to add! Prices, well as work was paying not a problem for me, but I think they need to be more competitive, otherwise would have got the 5 stars!

Had a fantastic night out in one of the Booths, 3 in total. You are able to order food/drinks from the comfort of the heated booth area which also include a television/music in each one. The staff were very efficient & friendly and food was fabulous. Definitely worth a visit as the rear garden seating area has the Booths & several individual tables & chairs and a large gazebo area with a great vibe/atmosphere. Would definitely recommend and intend to return very soon.

Just stayed for one night which was excellent all round. Room was big and clean, new modern bathroom, staff friendly and efficient and a great breakfast. The pub area had a nice vide and has been decked out for the modern era. Also great breakfast. One small downside from my wife was the lighting in the room slightly dark even though there are 4 lights and she struggled to put on the makeup! Still a 5 star for me would certainly return and would absolutely recommend. David & Emma

Great pub - my favourite local. Broad choice of hogh quality food, good beers and always friendly staff.

Good bar inside the hotel with nice staff and decent selection of beers. Big beer garden outside and nice looking food menu (didn't eat) with comfortable restaurant area. Mixture of people drinking here; some groups of younger lads, some young families, some older couples and some larger family groups. Everyone was friendly and good atmosphere.

Good pub but prices left sour taste in my mouth. It's what I'd consider a 'one and done' pub and move on after one round unless pushing boat out. Drinks marked up 50p which doesn't sound like much but soon mounts up in group. Young's sister pub Greyhound cheaper on last visit but was a while back. Anyway, I'll stick with The Sun which reasonably priced.

Probably the best Sunday Roast I have had (outside of cooking it myself). We had the Roast Pork Belly and Roast Rump of Beef (with Ox cheek). Pork was cooked excellently with a nice small stick of crackling. Roast potatoes were definitely cooked recently, roast veg and Yorkshire pud. were also perfectly cooked and the creamed leeks rounded off the roast. Will be my regular spot from now on.

We had a large booking last night for dinner with friends. The food was amazing and really great value for money. One of the best burgers I have had in a while. Staff were friendly and efficient. Will go back for sure.

Good service although as very popular it was quite busy and waiting time for food isn't fast. Ample portions. Pork roast was lovely but no 5 stars as my crackling was too hard to eat. Veg lovely. X

I’ve visited this pub a few times now, I really recommend going to visit. I’ve had the roast dinner and the chicken burger which were both very yummy and I’ve just been in the evening for a few drinks. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and the staff are very friendly and attentive. The pub is also very dog friendly.

Nice meal, well prepared and presented. The menu here is a step above normal pub food. Fair price but I only had a main course with a couple of beers.

Amazing room and very friendly staff. Room was clean and tidy. Large king size bed and great bathroom. Pub is a jointing the hotel for food and drinks. I would totally recommend this hotel and will be coming back again.

Nice Young's pub, with great restaurant. I'm impressed with the cooking - have had three meals there over the last couple of months and they have all been superb. And there's a great wine list, all available by bottle or glass. And there's Young's beer - so all good. The bar areas are traditional and comfortable. The only thing I didn't like was TV screens and canned music - I didn't think Young's went in for that.

My sister stayed at the hotel because of a family emergency. The staff were absolutely lovely, restauant excellent, service really good. They allowed me to use her beautiful shower facilities for free and could not have been more accommodating or helpful. This is the reason I have given 5 stars as they're well deserved. Thank you very much all staff who assisted me.

Really clean and comfy rooms. Friendly staff. I would say it is just a little pricey at what I paid for one night but I think you can get late deals etc which I will be looking out for in future. I didn't get a chance to try the food but the bar etc seemed cosy and welcoming. Great for parking too, which is usually an issue in London.

Best Roast ever!!!! Had a wonderful chicken roast with a medly of veg. 5 star for sure with a delightful desert of maple plums with ice cream. The staff were helpful warm and excellent at their jobs. Highly recommended and worth every penny.

Wow.... Best accessible bathroom I have EVER seen! Room 101... highly recommended. Lovely staff, great food, (breakfast and dinner) an oasis ... thank you to Theresa and the team for another lovely stay... already looking forward to coming back!

Unfortunately the service last night was absolutely appalling! We had booked a table in the restaurant bit for dinner and drinks for 6 people. Ordered our drinks first, the waitresses kept coming over several times to reassure us they are being made, nothing. 40mins later I walked up to the bar and asked to speak to the manager, who apologised and explained that the bar area is really busy. I am sorry to say but this isn’t a legitimate excuse when you are running both a bar and a restaurant area, the people standing at the bar do not take priority over the people in the restaurant bit. You assign one person to making the drinks for the customers sitting down and everyone else can support orders at the bar! 40mins is completely unacceptable, especially for a pub we’ve never ever had any issues with in the past. Even after I walked over the drinks were not ready, they had made one out of the five we ordered! Please please review your workflow process, this was a really poor service! 😕

me and 2 others have just finished a two week stay at the dukes head. not one for writing reviews usually ,but i thought this was necessary as the hotel and staff deserve one. The food was superb the chef obviously takes pride in his job 5* The room was cleaned on a daily basis, credit to the maid she even handed in some clothes, aftershaves and other items we accidentally left.(hotel said they will post them out at a cost) this goes along way in my eyes, honesty.5* staff absolutely a1 taresa, maisie and lauren. last i would like to thank dave, who obviously runs a tight ship and was always there to help if needed was friendly and professional, would have know hesitation in using the hotel if needed for work in the future, faultless

6 out of 5! Brilliant place for a dinner, a date, a quiz or a weekend away. We had delicious food (must try their famous Sunday roasts) the service was flawless even during the busy Sunday lunchtime and it’s a great venue with so much space and character. The rooms are stylish, comfortable and a great value for money. The generous sunny pub garden has cosy beach huts perfect for small groups as well as lots of tables. It’s dog and children friendly, plus it attracts a nice local crowd. No rowdy youths spoiling your fun! The charming manager David couldn’t be more helpful and accommodating. If you find yourself in the area you simply must visit this great place.

Went to the dukes head today for a brunch/lunch with my mum & aunt for a celebration of what would of been my Dad 83rd bday. Had a fitting tribute- a lovely all day breakfast & then dessert. Two of his favourite foods. The staff as always were friendly, efficient & professional. Food cooked brilliantly. And a most enjoyable experience. Love ya Dad

Do NOT eat here on a Monday ! We eat and drink here a lot - overall excellent food and staff. Having told the staff (and chef) on many occasion how good the food is - today it was terrible - I had a Cesar salad with smoked salmon - it was dreadful and tasted stale - I found (and chewed ) the husk of the lettuce - the hard ends of the lettuce were left in, the very little smoked salmon I got was black and tasteless. The indigence were thrown onto a plate and tasted stale - not fresh. Very disappointed - when I took my plate into the bar to show the husk and hard end of the lettuce the manger didn't really say anything even to the point of not apologizing - I wasn't after my money back or a discount I just assumed management would be interested and at least tell the kitchen and give customer feedback. We sat in the garden for 15 minutes after I took my plate to the bar and was fully aware the manager/bar staff were avoiding coming out to clear the table or give us an apology. The usual chef (a lovely Indian guy) is top class and produces great tasting food - whoever is in the kitchen on a Monday is clueless to cooking. Such a shame the manager could not apologies - we won't be eating/drinking here again for a while (due to terrible customer service) and certainly never on a Monday !
