We booked a room for a single night at the Lodge through airbnb and on reservation & payment, sent through a gentle email simply querying whether there was any secure on-site parking or similar (given the stay listing on airbnb mentioned nothing* about parking or vehicle access during the stay). Shortly after, I received quite a blunt, short text message from the Lodge stating words to the effect of 'I can’t promise what you have requested' followed by 7 exclamation marks. (?!) I was fairly taken back - given what I'd asked was a clear, polite and simple, frequently asked question, which rendered the response acquired somewhat bizarre. I immediately rang the Lodge to try and offer some clarification (to what was a simple enough question in the first place) and to remind the host that this is by no means an unexpected topic of query, especially in London, in order to understand what to expect regards pay/display or potentially onsite parking spaces etc. Of course, not everyone in the world uses public transport every inch of the way. I was treated during the call quite frankly, as though I'd asked for a helipad with 24/7 rooftop access & I was repeatedly informed that the owner had not been asked such a question regarding parking in some 30 odd years. Something definitely wasn't right and to any normal potential customer, alarm bells would begin to ring in receiving such a tone, so early into dealings with the venue. Very peculiar. Despite clarifying (eventually...) that there is some free street parking right outside and some sort of nearby car park at £8 per day, very shortly after the phone call we received an email stating our stay had been refused, meaning that we now have to seek alternative accommodation at lesser notice which will be at greater cost to us. What could have very easily been a lovely stay turned into a very strange reaction from the host over such a common & trivial topic, not forgetting a first phone call that quite frankly verged on the misinterpreted at best, at worst - tepidly awkward. Very disappointed and particularly concerned by the hosts ability to manage basic & everyday customer queries or offer any kind of welcome feeling to newly confirmed guests. Certainly check the much earlier reviews for this property.

We always stay at this beautiful little hotel when we go to London. It is tucked away in a quiet residential street but close to Hampton Wick train station, with regular trains to London. The bus to Heathrow is nearby and you can walk into the center of Kingston on Thames in 5 minutes. Royal Bushy Park with it's deer, lakes and woodland gardens is also only a few minutes walk away, you can walk to Hampton Court Palace through the park as well. The hotel is in such a good location. The hotel rooms are all different and really lovely. In fact Denise, the owner, has recently refurbished them and the en suite bathrooms and they are now even nicer. Denise is really friendly and helpful and goes out of her way to make sure you have a good stay.

Lovely little hotel, very quaint but also professional. Rooms are absolutely gorgeous. Attentive service too! Location is literally around the corner from Hampton wick station and it's only 30 minutes on the train to Waterloo so you're not far from central London.

Chase Lodge is among the most welcoming, comfortable and luxurious places to stay. This is one of Greater London's hidden gems. Down a peaceful, attractive road in the charming area of Hampton Wick, only three or four hundred metres from Kingston Bridge, John Lewis and Waitrose, you'll find a beautiful hotel which offers very fine decor, excellent facilities, and a warm, homely, caring and friendly welcome from all the team of staff and other guests. It is spotlessly clean and I would totally recommend this place whatever your length of stay, whether it's one night or a whole year. It's been a wonderful privilege to stay here and its location is perfect for trips to central London (30 mins train to Waterloo), a 25 min walk to Hampton Court Palace, a 20 min train to Richmond Park or Wimbledon for the tennis or Twickenham for the Six Nations, plus you've got the beautiful Bushy Park on your door step. More than that, Hampton Wick itself is lovely; a perfect place for a gentle stroll by the river or dinner and drinks in one of the attractive restaurants or pubs in close proximity. Parking is available very near, some without charge. Chase Lodge Hotel offers a quality experience and superb service from start to finish and I would totally recommend it.

Chase Lodge Hotel is a hidden gem, a wonderful place to stay away from the hustle and bustle of Central London. Lovely rooms, fantastic breakfast and great service from Denise, who is a very kind host.

This place is my home from home! I now live in Spain but when working in UK I come home to the Chase Lodge!! So welcoming & free to come & go as I choose! The rooms are so quaint! So English home without all the airs & graces!!! & they are pet friendly! If you want a peace of England!!? Stay peacefully here!

Such a warm, welcoming and unique hotel. No comparison to a standard chain hotel, the service here fantastic. Great location in a quiet road with plenty of local restaurants nearby, but still within a good distance to kingston and london. Would highly recommend if youre looking for something special and unique.

A very charming experience ,ideally located close to train lines and getting you into London in 20 minutes. There was plenty of literature to help with local amenities and the staff were a great help on advising the best way to do things. We was greeted by a pleasant lady when I arrived and offered refreshments. Our room was delightful very clean and airy with an extremely comfortable bed. My partner and I chose this hotel for a couple of nights for an anniversary weekend and the service was above and beyond what we expected for the very reasonable price we paid, breakfast was continental and very nice too with muffins to die for. Whilst we were there a small wedding party had booked there wedding breakfast, the food looked great as so did the room that it was held in very intimate and personal. A must for a second stay highly recommended
