a place full of history and faith…. The house where Lucia was born and lived at the time of the apparitions is located in the village of Aljustrel, about 2 kilometres from the Sanctuary of Fatima. It takes about 30 minutes to walk there, but can be accessed more easily by using the small tourist train which runs between the Sanctuary and the village. The house has been restored and contains furniture and artefacts from the time when Lucia’s family lived here. It gives a good impression of what life would have been like at the time. There are even goats to be seen in the yard.

I visited this place and it looks like the way it use to be. This is the house of one of the 3 children that the Blessed Virgin appeared to. The area has no hotels. It is really a day trip visit. There are shops that sell religious items. When you get there. You park your car and everywhere you go is on foot. Lucia became a nun and died in 2005. The secrets of Fatima are all related to her and the other 2 children. About a block away is the home of Jacinta and Francesco (brother & sister). Unfortunately these 2 children died 3 years after the apparition of the Blessed Virgin. I saw the room where Feancesco died and it was very moving to be in there.

It is located in a small village. If you visit Fatima, I think it is worthy to stop by and feel the place where St. Lucia lived.

Its one of the most Holy house I visited when you visit the place. The place it self reveals the reality of 3 Shephards saw angle our lady of Fatima. And the experience to vist each house was a real blessing.

It was the most once in a lifetime experience we had today. We visited the house with full of respect. I would like to recommend the shop just opposite the house of Yacinta and Francisco which is a very nice lady who speaks French fluently. We nearly missed our return trip but she was instrumental to help us. She contacted her husband who in turn contacted his father and we made it in the end. Her articles are cheap and good quality. Loving experience.

Wao. History home. We were so blessed to visit with our young children here. And realized how lucky we are living now. Everything much more Moran and convience. But was great to learn the history and religion.

Nice place of pilgrimage, worth visiting while in Fatima. Interesting view on how people lived almost one hundred years ago on Portugal countryside.
