I got the quesadilla here for breakfast and it was delicious! I ordered it to go and intended to eat it once I got back to my hotel, but after taking this pic and trying 1 bite, I couldn't help but devouring it. One of the best parts was the cheese - super melty, which isn't always the case with vegan cheese. The flavor was excellent all around, and it paired nicely with their cold brew. Will definitely plan to try more of their menu the next time I'm in town.

The staff is friendly and warm, the atmosphere is laid back, the music is good, and the food is incredible! I love coming here. The all vegan menu has plenty to choose from, with a fun section of seasonal items. The loaded fries are my favorite! They are so good that I order them every time I visit.

I'm a recently converted Vegan, so I've never really been to a "Vegan restaurant" and I'd 100% recommend this place to anyone as an amazing restaurant with ridiculous delicious food that just so happens to be Vegan. My friend happens to be allergic to cashews and the waitress was so nice and took time to explain to us that the menu is coded to identify nut free items as well as gluten for those sensitive. Her allergen was taken seriously (it even appeared on the receipt so it was totally rung up for the kitchen to see as well!). Was awesome knowing that we didn't have to worry or second guess about the food we ate. We got the bbq tofu wings to start and they were so Juicy and tangy and flavorful. My friend, who is NOT a vegan wouldn't stop raving about them. I got the bahn mi, and the vegan mac and both were delicious, filling, and satisfying. My friend got the "chicken" sandwich and she said it was great. The highlight of the visit though was the mushroom "bacon" we got as a side item because neither of us had tried such a thing and it was ridiculous. I ended up dumping some into my mac- definitely do that! So good. All in all, a great experience. Would recommend eating outside if it's nice out. The area is eclectic and busy and the people watching is great!

Trying a new vegan and gluten free meal plan. I'm Italian so I'm really struggling with finding things to eat that won't make me breakout or sick. I heard about this place and thought I would give it a try. The employees working were extra helpful and very friendly in helping to explain the menu and some dishes to me. I got the Tofu Tacos with the gluten free rice option and a loaf of gluten free bread to try. This is my first time trying tofu and I was actually pretty impressed with my meal. Can't wait to try the bread in the morning with some avocado. Thanks so much to your employees for making me feel comfortable because I was a little intimidated coming in and not knowing what anything on the menu was. Will be back again.

Best vegan food in Cleveland. We tried a few places and this had to be my favorite. The tiramisu pancakes were amazing. Total dessert for breakfast vibes. For 2 people we did spend around $50 which I’d say is a lot for breakfast and coffee but otherwise worth the price. We enjoyed everything we tried.

It's a nice place with a good atmosphere and location. We were there for lunch on a Saturday and it was very busy. 45 minute wait for a table so we got it to go. Ordered a bacon egg and cheese sandwich and a beet burger with a cupcake and a lemon bar. The BEC was good, not great. Standard fare. The tempeh bacon was a little dry (as tempeh usually is) and needed some more kick. Maybe some more smoky flavor. The beet burger was the first time I've tried one. I love the Beyond and Impossible, but they are everywhere now. I thought it was cool they still had something different. The issue is that it pretty much was just grilled beets. I liked it, didn't love it. It's strange because the best bites were the last ones when the burger, guac, sauce and cheese had all merged into a mash. The desserts seemed to have been what they are at most vegan places, a day past their prime and a little dry. The frosting on the cupcake was delicious. I'd definitely like to try the place again. Everyone has off days, and maybe that's what we got. It certainly seems popular enough and it has some good choices. Fist to 5 (fist is 0) I'd give it a 3 with the potential that eating in, just delivered to the table could earn it another point. Oh, and we tacked on a knit hat on a whim, which basically doubled our total. $25 for a basic hat needs a sign up as a warning. Not cool.

Cleveland Vegan is one of those places you can always depend on for quality. This is why we went with them for our wedding cake and desserts. They did such a terrific job! They were professional and easy to work with every step of the way. The craziest thing I will never forget, is that we purposely ordered MORE pieces of dessert for everyone than we needed. We overshot the total amount by a long shot. When we were packing up at the end of the night we had ONE donut and FOUR cupcakes left. NO CAKE was left. I'm not kidding when I say our guests destroyed it. We heard stories the next day of people plotting for how to get that specific flavor they wanted at the wedding. People were talking about them and how good it was. We had one piece of our cake (from our cake cutting) and that was it. You think we'd be upset but we are just so impressed and happy everyone loved it so much. Our goal was to have food that people left with a better appreciation for Veganism. Cleveland Vegan helped us achieve that. I would highly recommend them for your next event.

This was my first time at Cleveland Vegan as I'm from Detroit. The service was great and great staff! From the fresh bakery to our meals the food was outstanding. I will say though if you plan on going during peak hours make sure you allot yourself time to wait. They serve on a first come, first served basis. Did not disappoint!

If you order late the food is mediocre. I order a pasta that was supposed to be lemony and with capper flavor. I got boiled pasta with oil and salt. Totally flavorless. I also order a sandwich wich the bread came totally soaked and mushy. Portions are very small for the price. This place used to be good. Look around the vegan scene is big and getting better. You guys need to keep up. Never coming back with my own money.

Cleveland vegan is always a delight, in every way. My kids brought me here for father's day, and we enjoyed a variety of wares! My eldest daughter had pancakes, my twin daughter's had a Thai Rice Noodles and the other a grilled cheese, my son a Gyro. I was able to enjoy the Thai Rice Noodles dish as well, which was flavorful, with fresh cut carrot sprigs, noodles and the mushrooms (which were on point!), and the crispy tofu, which was firm and pleasant. The drinks were great as well; I enjoyed the cold brew coffee, my wife a cappuccino vs the kids lemonade and tea. The servers here are always smiling, helpful and ready to assist. Godspeed!

I have ordered my daughter’s birthday cake here for two years in a row. Year one was a lemon lavender cake and year two was a Harry Potter themed cake. They replicated a cake from one of the movies and nailed it! If you are in need of a gluten free vegan cake, this is your spot!

Extremely small portions of food and very overpriced! They also use a lot of oil/fat in their dishes so beware. Will never go here again!!

We frequently travel from the east side of Cleveland to go here. It’s one of my favorites! We also did a catering order from them. It was the simplest catering I have ever ordered! No extra hidden costs/fees. I chose to pick up my order, and it was ready to go without issue when I arrived. I highly recommend them!

Drove from Columbus to visit and take out. My carnivorous fiance absolutely loved the gyro and chipotle potato skins. The fried chicken sandwich and mushroom stroganoff were exellent. We loved our experience and will return.

I wish I lived in Cleveland - just so I could eat here! I've been here several times and everything I've eaten was AMAZING!!! My favorite dish is the biscuits and gravy but everything I've tried I have enjoyed. It's easy to find a salad, smoothie or fruit bowl but the food at Cleveland Vegan is the food I really enjoy and crave. French toast minus cruelty AND it tastes amazing, this is how plant based food is done. This is probably the best vegan restaurant and food I've had in 3 years. Fantastic cupcake/dessert assortment too. I would eat here weekly if I lived closer.

I really wanted to love Cleveland Vegan, but instead, I was rather disappointed. Very slow, indifferent service, mediocre food and steep prices given the quality. Maybe it was a fluke, based on the reviews? I just felt sad that I drove all the way across town for a sub-par experience. I ordered takeout and showed up on time. A lady at the desk said my food wasn’t ready yet and walked away. It would have been helpful if she told me it would be another 20-25 minutes. Yup. I waited for more than 20 minutes before a different woman finally came out with my food and apologized. The first woman never apologized or communicated how long the wait would be. Considering it was a Wednesday night, the place wasn’t busy and they had at least four people in the kitchen, I’m not sure what took so long. I started with the tofu wings. These were cold (probably because they were sitting out, waiting for my other dish) and very uninspired. Seriously. Cold, limp tofu with buffalo sauce. They weren’t crispy and I wonder if they were cooked at all? They were edible, once I doused them in ranch. My entree was the fried chicken sandwich, which was listed as a popular item. It barely had any chipotle mayo and was very dry. I poured some of the leftover ranch on it. The slaw was crunchy, flavorless cabbage and onions, not exactly what I was expecting. There were a few limp pickle slices on the side, but not like the picture on the menu. I paid $27 for a lifeless, unfulfilling dinner. To top it off, the receipt asked if I wanted to leave an additional (second) tip. Considering I already tipped, before I knew how my experience would be, there was no way I was going to tip again… I’d like to maybe try coming here again, they seemed to have a lot of good looking desserts, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to stop by a second time. Honestly, I feel bad for writing this review. 3-stars is probably being generous, but hey, at least everything was vegan.

Place was good. I can’t say 100% food was great. It was okay. But also I am a very good cook that is why I am fastidious. I like full of flavor food. But, service was great.

One of the easiest 5 star ratings I've written. The whole vibe was really cool, staff was extremely friendly and service was fast. I ordered the Breakfast Quesadilla and it was so good. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meals and we actually ordered seconds for my boys who split some banana pancakes (portion sizes were good, we just underestimated how hungry they were 😅) I also tried the pumpkin spice frappe and it was the perfect drink to take on the go with me. I will absolutely be back when I'm in Cleveland!

Eat at CV often! Today we were finally there to enjoy the Seasonal Brunch menu! We split the full stack of caramelized banana pancakes, I got the crab cake Benedict plate, and my husband got the breakfast sandwich. The pancakes were so fluffy, had a great cinnamon flavor, & the compote was delicious. The Benedict plate was larger than I expected (took one of the Benedict’s home for later) - this had so many great flavors - especially the dill! My husband enjoyed the breakfast sandwich. If I get back for brunch again with this current menu I am definitely going to get that crabcake Benedict plate!

Visiting from DC. Everything was just fine, nothing was amazing. I was excited to try the Yo-Egg and the carrot lox. The nachos were good and the home fries were solid. Wasn’t very impressed with the chicken sandwich or noodle bowl.

I absolutely love this place. The staff here are awesome, and that really shows on their Instagram! The food is good and is always exactly as described. From-scratch vegan food made with wholesome and tasty ingredients. Many of the options are delicious. I enjoy the cookie sundae (very large-- good deal for $6; would probably feed 3 or 4 people ), the nachos, cupcakes, cookies, mac and cheese, and other dishes as well. Some of the options are a bit healthier and less processed-- so sometimes not as delicious as regular store-bought items, but I think most people can find something they like here. If you don't love the food, the overall vibe is amazing. So kind, friendly, and caring. I love being here.

Always friendly, always quick, and always delicious! I love that they have allergens marked on their menu. I have a tree nut allergy, they make it easy for me to choose what is safe to eat, and they’re very accommodating to my needs if I ask the staff for help. Be sure to have a chocolate chip cookie!

Such a warm inviting environment and HEAVEN for vegans! I love this place so much. It's perfect for a lunch date, a celebration meal with friends, a coffee and some baked goods in the morning, or even a place to come study. Cleveland Vegan Never disappoints! We have eaten there a couple of times, so we knew their food was delicious, but they also did a fantastic job with our wedding cake! We ordered confetti and chocolate for the flavors, and all of our guests have been raving about our cake... even weeks after our wedding! They did a fantastic job decorating it. We ordered peanut butter and chocolate chip cookies for our event as well, and they were equally delicious! Photo credit: Dennis Crider Photography Floral credit: Ashley's Floral

I've been coming to Cleveland Vegan for years and have only wonderful things to say. The staff are friendly, attentive, and cool. The food is beautiful, delicious, and clearly made with a lot of care. The atmosphere is comfortable and fun. Cleveland Vegan is a safe haven for vegans in the greater Cleveland area, but I'm confident that omnivores could find nothing to criticize about the wide variety of tasty comfort foods offered here.

Incredible, incredible, absolutely incredible place to dine and find the best vegan food, in Cleveland. The menu is expansive, with tons of choices, and there are specialties between brunch and dinner, so be sure to go before 3:00 p.m. sometimes, and after 3:00 p.m. to experience all the menu choices. They change their menu seasonally, so you are always in for a treat depending on what new additions they have made. Also, check out their specials for certain holidays, and events. The vegan pumpkin roll is fantastic. Their bakery section is immense and mind-boggling with the massive selection of vegan delicacies. You absolutely can not go wrong eating here. Kid friendly, bright and open seating, always clean, the waitstaff is extremely friendly, and once you've gone just a couple times, they begin to know you and will even make suggestions if something you're looking for is sold out for the day (which does happen - - I'm looking at you, Vegan Meatball Sub!), but not as often as you might think. Go, just go. You will not be disappointed.

Favorite place to do brunch! Also, their vegan dogs are on point. Chef Caroline is the best! Friendly service and Get up off that brown is not only fun to say but a delicious beer choice. Since moving to Canada I miss my weekly brunch and beers there. They also have an assortment of hot sauces that go great with any of their food.

Cleveland Vegan is consistently awesome. It's so nice to be able to get vegan versions of my favorite comfort foods like biscuits and gravy. They use Rising Star coffee, which is a favorite of mine. The cafe itself is sunny and airy, which is such a wonderful experience.

OMG! I took a shopping bag out of there. Best vegan restaurant I've been to in my 7+ plus years of having a vegan diet, and I've been to many of states. I had the pancakes with pumpkin cream cheese 😋. I took the buffalo wings, potato salad, macaroni salad, a walnut brownie, peanut butter cookies, and they weren't regular sized either. I didn't eat everything at once.😳 I will travel the two hours to get there again. Their cooler and bakery case has so many items I had to give myself a talk before going up there to limit my items to two from each case. I get so excited when I see vegan food I tend to buy too much.🤦🏿‍♀️ Why don't they allow you to post a picture with your review?

  • 5/5 Jacob H. 3 years ago on Google
Amazing food. My recommendation: When I come back to this place with my girlfriend, we will be sharing one small stack of the pumpkin pancakes (freaking amazing) and another more savory entree. I was surprised at how big the dishes were.

  • 5/5 Sidharth J. 3 years ago on Google
This restaurant has a cozy ambiance with a hospitable and friendly staff. They offer a wide variety of food with a different lunch and dinner menu. In addition to the hot food they also sell cold and ready to eat sandwiches, salads, and juices. Lastly, their bakery menu offers wide variety of desserts from cakes to cookies to muffins to bars and so on. We ordered cauliflower dip and chickpea piccata for our dinner. The dip comes with pieces of bread that is soft, brushed over with garlic butter, and tastes yum in itself and with the dip. The chickpea piccata comes with two chickpea cutlets that are crispy on the outside and soft inside. The overall dish tasted great and filling. We also ordered blueberry roll and chocolate cupcake for dessert. The cupcake was a bit too cold making it hard to cut. But taste wise it was great without being too sweet for my liking. The blueberry roll was the one that I liked the most of the two. The roll was coated with blueberry sauce along with actual blueberries on the inside. Again the sweetness was adequate and not too high. Cannot end this review without mentioning their fresh and organic orange juice and their delicious coffee that I drank without adding any creamer, which is rare as I generally find coffee to be a bit too bitter to my taste.

I was so heartbroken when Flaming Ice Cube in downtown Cleveland closed but Cleveland Vegan has filled the hole they left in my heart (and stomach).
