It's historical and iconic place of Faisalabad. Went their on the 14th August night which is the independence day of Pakistan so the place was very lively. Lighting also added some beauty to it. But even normally it is always crowded. Thus is the main commercial hub not only for Faisalabad but as well as for the whole province of Punjab.

Clock tower Faisalabad was build by British when indo-Pak was the colony of British. It was constructed on the design of England's flag. In the center there is clock tower and 8 bazars (markets) meets to clock Tower. When I visited there I felt vibes of old Faisalabad and British era. It is the main city and you can easily get or buy any thing you want from these bazars. The Night view of Tower was incredible. There were great hustle and bustle. There are alot of traditional food points from where you can taste local foods. I highly recommend this place when you will visit Faisalabad.

117 years old clock tower still in pretty good shape and working accurately. On one corner of market facing towards this clock tower there is Bangali Milk shop, where you enjoy lussi and Bun all day, garama garam doodh Jalebi, hot milk and some other recipes of milk... During my stay at Faisalabad I enjoyed it alot...

The Clock Tower of Faisalabad, also known as Ghanta Ghar, is a famous landmark of the city. It is located in the center of the city and is a popular tourist attraction. The tower was built in 1903 to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria and has since become an iconic symbol of Faisalabad. The Clock Tower is a beautiful example of colonial architecture. It stands at a height of 65 meters and has eight unique faces, each of which is 3.5 meters in diameter. The tower is made of red brick and is decorated with intricate designs and patterns. The tower is surrounded by a beautiful garden that adds to its charm. The Clock Tower has undergone several renovations over the years. In 1978, the tower was renovated to include a new clock mechanism that is still in use today. In 2015, the tower was again renovated to add new lighting and sound systems, making it even more beautiful at night. The Clock Tower is not just a beautiful landmark, but it also has a historical significance. It was a popular meeting place during the independence movement of Pakistan. Many political rallies and meetings were held at the Clock Tower, and it became a symbol of resistance against British rule. Today, the Clock Tower is a popular spot for tourists and locals alike. Visitors can climb to the top of the tower for a panoramic view of the city. The surrounding area is also a popular shopping district, with many traditional shops and bazaars selling a variety of goods. In conclusion, the Clock Tower of Faisalabad is a beautiful and historic landmark that is worth a visit. Its unique architecture, beautiful gardens, and historical significance make it a must-see attraction for anyone visiting the city.

The Faisalabad clock tower is one of the oldest monuments still standing in its original state from the period of the British Raj. It was built in 1905 by the British, when they ruled much of the South Asia during the nineteenth century. This monument still stands tall even after being in the center of the city for over a 100 years. The clock tower is one of the must visit monuments in Faisalabad and is a heritage site of great importance. All that coupled with the vast abundance of surrounding bazars and restaurants make it a must visit leisure place.

Ghanta Ghar bazaar is made up of eight bazaars, where local grown produce is bought and sold. The locals refer to it as "Ghanta Ghar" گھنٹہ گھر in Urdu which translates into Hour House in English. It is located in the older part of the city. The clock is placed at the center of the eight markets that from a bird's-eye view look like the Union Jack flag of the United Kingdom. This special layout still exists today and can be viewed using the latest software from Google Maps. The eight markets (bazaars) each has unique product types for sale. The bazaars are named for the directions these open towards i.e. Katchery bazaar, Chinot bazaar, Aminpur bazaar, Bhawana Bazaar, Jhang Bazaar, Montgomery bazaar, Karkhana bazaar and Rail bazaar. During festivals of Eid and Independence Day the mayor (nazim) of Faisalabad delivers a speech at this site and hangs the flag at full mast. Clock Tower or Ghanta Ghar is the most recognized building of Faisalabad. It is not only the center of the city, it is also the center of all the activities that happen in the city. During election season, each political party tries to hold rallies at this spot. The same is done for all demonstrations. The central rally of Eid e Milad and biggest procession of Moharram is also held at Ghanta Ghar each year. The importance of this iconic tower is so much that one of the leading politicians of 1960s famously drew a parallel between the presidential system of General Ayub and this clock tower because like Ghanta Ghar which is visible throughout the city, the presidential system of General Ayub made him of equal prominence.

The tower has historic significance and appears to be well maintained. The surrounding bazaar, though, is pretty noisy and congested. The one-way traffic on the lanes in the bazar help, though. There isn't sufficient parking, so people park their cars on the road. The good thing about ther bazar is that you find just about anything here. You just have to know where to look, or how to ask.

Quetta dry Fruits shop in front of Clock Tower is an excellent place to visit for dry fruits. They also sell dry fruits in bulk to others in their neighborhiod. In fact Quetta dry fruits are whole seller dealer.

The place is a historical one, so it's always a good feeling to visit this place. But there is a lot of mismanagement from municipal corporation, no proper parking area, no traffic management, and also the roads are covered by the encroachments of the shopkeepers.

Especially the bathroom was full of water stains and other stains too. Breakfast is not so bad but it's the same dishes everyday and there is no menu displayed. One has to ask their staff for the availability of every food item.

Are you a textile merchant, or you are looking for food, or you want electronics or other home appliances or you want to buy fresh vegetable or you want a rope for your horse. You need anything, you can come to clock tower of Faisalabad. You do not find much places like this in the world. There is cotton market. There is fish market. Carpets, dry fruit, mobile phones, shoes, banks, garments, printing centers, books , fruit and much more. I love this place. Sometimes I come here in the late night and some areas turn into food street. I do most shopping here. Also when I am in mood of some recreation, clock tower is my ultimate choice. People of Faisalabad are lucky to have this brilliant place. Anybody who come to Faisalabad must visit the clock tower.

Loved The Place... The Faisalabad Clock Tower is a Clock Tower  in Faisalabad ,Punjab, Pakistan and is one of the oldest monuments still standing in its original state from the period of the British Raj. It was built by the British, when they ruled much of the South Asia during the nineteenth century..... The foundation of the majestic Clock Tower was laid on 14 November 1903 by the British lieutenant governor of Punjab Sir Charles Riwaz and the biggest local landlord belonging to the Mian Family of Abdullahpur. The fund was collected at a rate of Rs. 18 per square of land. The fund thus raised was handed over to the Municipal Committee which undertook to complete the project. The locals refer to it as "Ghanta Ghar" (Urdu: گھنٹہ گھر‎) which translates into Hour House in English It is located in the older part of the city. The clock is placed at the center of the eight markets that from a bird's-eye view look like the Union Jack flag of the United Kingdom . This special layout still exists today and can be viewed using the latest software from Google Maps . The importance of this iconic tower is so much that one of the leading politicians of 1960s famously drew a parallel between the presidential system of General Ayub and this clock tower because like Ghanta Ghar which is visible throughout the city, the presidential system of General Ayub made him of equal prominence.

It is a historical landmark, a vestige of the colonial era, and the central point in Faisalabad. The roads towards are the towers are designed in a very unique way, giving an aesthetically pleasing look when seen from the above. The architecture of the tower itself is, though minimal, but quite impressive. It is, however, not given the kind of attention it seeks. Since it is the central point and old, it is too much congested. The cloth markets around it captures a huge traffic, rendering it impossible to be accessed in a car.

The Faisalabad Clock Tower is a clock tower in Faisalabad, Punjab, Pakistan, and is one of the oldest monuments still standing in its original state from the period of the British Raj. It was built by the British, when they ruled much of the South Asia during the nineteenth century. The foundation of the majestic Clock Tower was laid on 14 November 1905 by the British lieutenant governor of Punjab Sir Charles Riwaz and the biggest local landlord belonging to the Mian Family of Abdullahpur. The fund was collected at a rate of Rs. 18 per square of land. The fund thus raised was handed over to the Municipal Commit The locals refer to it as "Ghanta Ghar" (Urdu: گھنٹہ گھر‎) which translates into Hour House in English. The importance of this iconic tower is so much that one of the leading politicians of 1960s famously drew a parallel between the presidential system of General Ayub and this clock tower because like Ghanta Ghar which is visible throughout the city, the presidential system of General Ayub made him

Very beautiful and famous place of Faisalabad. The Ghantaghar (Clock Tower) has four gates on all the directions and the inauguration board is also in four languages. It has 82 stairs to reach to the top and there is a clock on all the four sides having the machine in the center. It has an important place in the development of the Faisalabad City. The successful agitation to form the Faisalabad as district headquarters was also started from this place. Moreover, it is a winess to all revolutions and struggles for the welfare of the city. Its council is pending a lot of money to keep beatify this monument keeps the morale of the citizens high. But the people of the city are not taking care of its cleanliness. Some citizens misuse the building, in the shadow of darkness, which gives a foul smell and certain social organizations deface the building by pasting the handbills on the walls. 😘
